Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is a common complication of diabetes mellitus that contributes to the risk of end-stage kidney disease(ESKD).Wide glycemic var-iations,such as hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia,are broadly found in diabetic patients with DKD and especially ESKD,as a result of impaired renal *** is essential to monitor glycemia for effective management of *** A1c(HbA1c)has long been considered as the gold standard for monitoring glycemia for>3 ***,assessment of HbA1c has some bias as it is susceptible to factors such as anemia and liver or kidney *** glucose monitoring(CGM)has provided new insights on glycemic assessment and *** directly measures glucose level in interstitial fluid,reports real-time or retrospective glucose concentration,and provides multiple glycemic *** avoids the pitfalls of HbA1c in some contexts,and may serve as a precise alternative to estimation of mean glucose and glycemic *** studies have demonstrated the merits of CGM for precise monitoring,which allows fine-tuning of glycemic management in diabetic ***,CGM technology has the potential for better glycemic monitoring in DKD *** research is needed to explore its application and management in different stages of DKD,including hemodialysis,peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation.

Rotor angle stability(RAS)prediction is critically essential for maintaining normal operation of the interconnected synchronous machines in power *** wide deployment of phasor measurement units(PMUs)promotes the development of data-driven methods for RAS *** paper proposes a temporal and topological embedding deep neural network(TTEDNN)model to accurately and efficiently predict RAS by extracting the temporal and topological features from the PMU *** grid-informed adjacency matrix incorporates the structural and electrical parameter information of the power *** the small-signal RAS with disturbance under initial operating conditions and the transient RAS with short circuits on transmission lines are *** studies of the IEEE 39-bus and IEEE 300-bus power systems are used to test the performance,scalability,and robustness against measurement uncertainties of the TTEDNN *** show that the TTEDNN model performs best among existing deep learning ***,the superior transfer learning ability from small-signal RAS conditions to transient RAS conditions has been proved.

In this study,we synthesized a series of ABA-type vitrimers by crosslinking the short A moieties of precursors with a bifunctional crosslinker and evaporating the small molecular *** vitrimer samples thus prepared exhibit linear viscoelasticity dependent on the length of A moiety as well as the content of the *** the average number of A monomers per end moiety m=1.1,the crosslinker can only extend the chain but not crosslink the *** m becomes 2.8 or higher,introducing a crosslinker first leads to the gelation,whereas excess in crosslinker molecules leads opening of the crosslinking sites and accordingly reentry into the sol ***,a further increase in the length of the A moieties increases the relaxation time much weaker than the exponential increase seen for the physically crosslinked ABAtype *** attribute this difference to the distinct relaxation mechanisms:the relaxation of the vitrimer samples is based on relatively independent exchange reactions,which contrasts with the ABA-type ionomers that relax through the collective hopping of connected ionic groups from one ion aggregate to another.

The cabin air pressure remains lower than the horizontal atmospheric pressure when the airplane is in *** pressure is one of the parameters that must be taken into consideration while studying the thermal environment of an airplane *** are still no reference values for aircraft cabins despite the fact that numerous studies on low pressure heat transfer have demonstrated the connection between convective heat transfer coefficient(CHTC)and air *** this paper,a correction method for CHTC under low pressure conditions was established by using the dummy heat dissipation in the low-pressure cabin *** this basis,a thermal environment simulation model was developed,then was applied to the simulation of a seven-row aircraft cabin containing 42 passengers,and the CHTC and heat loss of dummy surface in the cabin were ***,the results of PMV calculated by using heat dissipation and air parameters at sampling points were *** results show that the modified CHTC can accurately reflect the cabin thermal environment under low pressure conditions,and the correction of CHTC can be realized by adjusting the turbulent Prandtl number,which is nonlinear correlated with the *** simulation results of the thermal environment in the seven-row cabin show that the CHTC changes by about 42%before and after *** air pressure decreases during take-off,which reduces the average CHTC of the crew surface from 5.09 W/(m^(2)·K)to 4.56 W/(m^(2)·K),but the air temperature rises by about 0.2°C as a *** deviation of PMV results calculated by using simulated heat loss data and using air parameters of measuring points in space is up to 0.5,but the latter is representative for calculating the thermal comfort level of the whole cabin.

Apolipoprotein E(APOE)plays a pivotal role in lipid including cholesterol *** APOE 4(APOE4)allele is a major genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's and cardiovascular *** APOE has recently been associated with increased susceptibility to infections of several viruses,whether and how APOEand its isoforms affect SARS-CoV-2 infection remains ***,we show that serum concentrations of APOE correlate inversely with levels of cytokine/chemokine in 73 COVID-19 *** multiple protein interaction assays,we demonstrate that APOE3 and APOE4 interact with the SARS-CoV-2 receptor ACE2;and APOE/ACE2 interactions require zinc metallopeptidase domain of ACE2,a key docking site for SARS-CoV-2 Spike *** addition,immuno-imaging assays using confocal,super-resolution,and transmission electron microscopies reveal that both APOE3 and APOE4 reduce ACE2/Spikemediated viral entry into ***,while having a comparable binding affinity to ACE2,APOE4 inhibits viral entry to a lesser extent compared to APOE3,which is likely due to APOE4's more compact structure and smaller spatial obstacle to compete against Spike binding to ***,APOE e4 carriers clinically correlate with increased SARS-CoV-2 infection and elevated serum inflammatory factors in 142 COVID-19 patients *** study suggests a regulatory mechanism underlying SARS-CoV-2 infection through APOE interactions with ACE2,which may explain in part increased COVID-19 infection and disease severity in APOE e4 carriers.

Osteoporosis(OP)is a prevalent metabolic bone *** drug therapy is essential to prevent bone loss in osteoporotic patients,current treatments are limited by side effects and high costs,necessitating the development of more effective and safer targeted *** a zebrafish(Danio rerio)larval model of osteoporosis,we explored the influence of the metabolite spermine on bone *** showed that spermine exhibited dual activity in osteoporotic zebrafish larvae by increasing bone formation and decreasing bone *** not only demonstrated excellent biosafety but also mitigated prednisolone-induced embryonic neurotoxicity and ***,spermine showcased protective attributes in the nervous systems of both zebrafish embryos and *** the molecular level,Rac1 was identified as playing a pivotal role in mediating the antiosteoporotic effects of spermine,with P53 potentially acting downstream of *** findings were confirmed using mouse(Mus musculus)models,in which spermine not only ameliorated osteoporosis but also promoted bone formation and mineralization under healthy conditions,suggesting strong potential as a bonestrengthening *** study underscores the beneficial role of spermine in osteoporotic bone homeostasis and skeletal system development,highlighting pivotal molecular *** their efficacy and safety,human endogenous metabolites like spermine are promising candidates for new anti-osteoporotic drug development and daily bone-fortifying agents.

Intracrustal low-velocity zones(LVZs)indicate a mechanically weak crust and are widely observed in the southeast margin of the Tibetan ***,their spatial distributions and formation mechanisms remain *** investigate their distribution and detailed morphology of the LVZs in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,here we used teleseismic events and continuous waveform data recorded by 40 broadband seismic stations newly deployed in the Sichuan-Yunnan region from December 2018 to October 2020.A total of 12,924 high-quality P-wave receiver functions and 5–40 s fundamental Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity dispersion curves from ambient noise cross-correlation functions were *** Swave velocity model at a depth interval of 0–100 km in the study area was inverted by using the trans-dimensional Markov chain Monte Carlo strategy to jointly invert the complementary data of the receiver function waveform and Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity *** results show that there are two separate LVZs(~3.5 km/s)surrounding the rigid Daliangshan subblock at crustal depths of approximately 30–40 km,providing new constraints on the geometry of the LVZs in our study *** two LVZs obtained in this study may represent the middle crustal flow channels,through which the material in the center of the Tibetan Plateau extrudes to its southeast *** by the rigid Sichuan Basin and the spindle-like Daliangshan subblock,the material continues to flow southward through the mechanically weak middle crustal channels surrounding the Daliangshan *** addition,the existence of thin LVZs in the middle crust plays an important role in understanding the decoupling between the upper and lower crust in the study *** also provides new constraint on the complex tectonic deformation process of the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau caused by the collision and compression of the Indian and the Eurasian plates.
