Numerical Study on Local Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Supercritical CO_(2) in PCHe with Sinusoidal Channels

Local heat transfer and flow characteristics,which is crucial to the overall performance of supercritical CO_(2) recuperators,is rarely examined in details in reported *** this paper,the local heat transfer and flow characteristics of supercritical CO_(2) in sinusoidal channel printed circuit heat exchangers are numerically investigated under the working conditions of *** on the simplified physical model constituted by10 pitches,the variations of Re,heat flux,Nu,secondary flow and other relevant parameters along the flow direction are analyzed *** is further made between the high and low temperature recuperators(HTR and LTR).It's observed that the local heat transfer and flow characteristics vary greatly from the inlet to the outlet,especially in the *** of 127.5% and 61.7% can be observed on the cold side of the LTR for Re and heat transfer coefficient h, *** indicate that the temperature difference and heat transfer coefficient h should not be regarded as constant and the distribution of h should be carefully considered in the design of the *** complicated interactions among the varying thermophysical properties,buoyancy and the periodically changed centrifugal force are believed to be the key that shapes the flow ***,the changes of the wavy angle θ are found to have greater influence than the changes of mass flow rate in reshaping the flow field when θ>25°.Though gravity direction strongly affects the local heat transfer and flow characteristics,it's also found that the effects on the overall thermal-hydraulic performance are relatively *** the installation direction that yields a_y=g should better be avoided for the sinusoidal channel printed circuit heat exchanger.

3D eikonal equation is a partial differential equation for the calculation of first-arrival traveltimes and has been widely applied in many scopes such as ray tracing,source localization,reflection migration,seismic monitoring and tomographic *** recent years,many advanced methods have been developed to solve the 3D eikonal equation in heterogeneous ***,there are still challenges for the stable and accurate calculation of first-arrival traveltimes in 3D strongly inhomogeneous *** this paper,we propose an adaptive finite-difference(AFD)method to numerically solve the 3D eikonal *** novel method makes full use of the advantages of different local operators characterizing different seismic wave types to calculate factors and traveltimes,and then the most accurate factor and traveltime are adaptively selected for the convergent updating based on the Fermat *** with global fast sweeping describing seismic waves propagating along eight directions in 3D media,our novel method can achieve the robust calculation of first-arrival traveltimes with high precision at grid points either near source point or far away from source point even in a velocity model with large and sharp *** numerical examples show the good performance of the AFD method,which will be beneficial to many scientific applications.

Application of Fuzzy Automata Decision-Making System in Target Control

In order to perform better in target control, this paper proposed a decision-making system method based on fuzzy automata. The decision-making system first preprocessed the signal and then performed a two-level decision on the target to achieve optimal control. The system consisted of four parts: signal preprocessing, contrast decision-making, comprehensive judgment of decision-making and decision-making result. These decision algorithms in target control were given. A concrete application of this decision-making system in target control was described. Being compared with other existing methods, this paper used both global features and local features of target, and used the decision-making system of fuzzy automata for the target control. Simulation results showed that the control effect based on the decision-making system was better than that of the other existing methods. Not only it was faster, but also its correct control rate was higher to be 95.18% for the target control. This research on the control system not only developed the FA theory, but also strengthened its application scope in the field of control engineering.

Cosmological interpretation for the stochastic signal in pulsar timing arrays

The pulsar timing array(PTA)collaborations have recently reported compelling evidence for a stochastic signal consistent with a gravitational-wave *** this paper,we combine the latest data sets from NANOGrav,PPTA,and ePTA to explore cosmological interpretations for the PTA signal from first-order phase transitions,domain walls,and cosmic strings,*** find that the domain wall model is strongly disfavored with the Bayes factors compared with the first-order phase transitions and cosmic strings being 1/90 and 1/189,respectively,breaking the degeneracy among these models in individual data *** also find that:(1)a strong phase transition at temperatures below the electroweak scale is favored,and the bubble collisions make the dominant contribution to the energy density spectrum;(2)a small reconnection probability ped by strings in(super)string theory is favored at the 95%confidence level,and ground-based detectors can further constrain the parameter space.

P-and S-wave separation plays an important role in elastic reverse-time *** can reduce the artifacts caused by crosstalk between different modes and improve image *** addition,P-and Swave separation can also be used to better understand and distinguish wave types in complex *** present,the methods for separating wave modes in anisotropic media mainly include spatial nonstationary filtering,low-rank approximation,and vector Poisson *** of these methods require multiple Fourier transforms or the calculation of large matrices,which require high computational costs for problems with large *** this paper,an efficient method is proposed to separate the wave mode for anisotropic media by using a scalar anisotropic Poisson operator in the spatial *** 2D problems,the computational complexity required by this method is 1/2 of the methods based on solving a vector Poisson ***,compared with existing methods based on pseudoHelmholtz decomposition operators,this method can significantly reduce the computational *** examples also show that the P and S waves decomposed by this method not only have the correct amplitude and phase relative to the input wavefield but also can reduce the computational complexity significantly.

Application of FRS on Target Recognition

In order to let machine better imitate thinking method of people to perform recognition and classification for fuzzy and uncertain thing, this paper puts forward a fuzzy and rough association method to deal with the problem. However, the application of fuzzy rough sets (FRS) will be introduced mainly on pattern recognition. Some related theories on FRS would be discussed, and some fuzzy rough mathematical methods on pattern-recognition will be given. Then, concrete applications of FRS on image processing and recognition will be introduced. Simulation result signifies that this fuzzy and rough association method is not only fast but also closer to nature attribute of thing for processing and recognizing image by comparing with the single neural network and other recognition device. The recognition rate is about 95.78%.

Selective photosynthesis of imines from biomass-derived aldehydes over Ni/TiO_(2)

Photocatalytic reductive amination of biomass-derived aldehydes is a desirable way to selectively upgrade biomass into value-added nitrogen-containing chemicals under mild ***,it is challenging to produce imines in high selectivity because of the undesirable side reactions caused by the activity of functional ***,we demonstrate the highly reactive and selective production of imines from biomass derived aldehydes via the photocatalytic reductive amination,using a defective TiO_(2)supported nickel *** employment of methanol as the hydrogen donor and ammonia solution as the nitrogen source avoids the use of high-pressure H_(2)and expensive amines,rendering the current catalytic process safe,economical,and environmentally *** depth investigations attribute the improved separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers to the presence of oxygen vacancies and decorated Ni nanoparticles,thereby accelerating the production of imines from benzaldehyde amination(conversion,95.8%;seleetivity,95.2%).Furthermore,the developed system could be easily translated to the photocatalytic conversions of various biomass derived aldehydes,which provided an example of a cost-effective and sustainable approach for the valorization of biomass derived feedstocks.

On optimal charging scheduling for electric vehicles with wind power generation

We consider the scheduling of battery charging of electric vehicles(eVs)integrated with renewable power *** increasing adoption of eVs and the development of renewable energies contribute importance to this *** optimization of charging scheduling is challenging because of the large action space,the multi-stage decision making,and the high *** solve this problem is time-consuming when the scale of the system is *** is urgent to develop a practical and efficient method to properly schedule the charging of *** contribution of this work is ***,we provide a sufficient condition on which the charging of eVs can be completely self-sustained by distributed *** algorithm is proposed to obtain the optimal charging policy when the sufficient condition ***,the scenario when the supply of the renewable power generation is deficient is *** prove that when the renewable generation is deterministic there exists an optimal policy which follows the modified least laxity and longer remaining processing time first(mLLLP)***,we provide an adaptive rule-based algorithm which obtains a near-optimal charging policy efficiently in general *** test the proposed algorithm by numerical *** results show that it performs better than the other existing rule-based methods.
