Gold-catalyzed nucleophilic addition to terminal alkynes has received considerable interest in the past decade, as this chemistry offers a highly efficient and regioselective way for CAC, CAH and CAX bond formation. However, such a nucleophilic addition mainly involves a Markovnikov addition. In this short review, the recent progress of the gold-catalyzed 5-endo-dig cycloisomerization-initiated tandem reactions by utilizing the steric strain in ring formation to achieve an anti-Markovnikov regioselectivity was reviewed, including the scope of reactions, mechanism and synthetic applications.

The study on the uniformity of electrical performance of large wafer-scale Hf0.5Zr0.5O2（HZO） ferroelectric capacitors is still lacking yet now. In this work, TiN/HZO/TiN metal-ferroelectric-metal（MFM） devices on 12-inch silicon wafers have been fabricated by thermal atomic layer deposition. The correlation of thickness uniformity with device-to-device variation of electrical properties and yield of the 12-inch MFM system was investigated. It was found that the uniformity of ferroelectric properties is closely related to the variation of HZO thickness of the MFM system, the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the micro-region of the HZO film, and the ferroelectric phase micro-distribution on 12-inch Si wafer. This work provides some important information for the performance optimization of HfO2-based ferroelectric random access memories.

Paul-Baker systems with 4° flat field and 5° fiat field are studied. Their light obstructions under different f/ratios of the primary mirror are analyzed. Due to the strong f/ratio of the system, a focal length extender is designed in order to match the following fiber instrumentation, and two kinds of dispersion prism correctors are designed for correcting the atmospheric dispersion. We compare the designed Paul-Baker system with LAMOST, the national major scientific project now under construction.

Ethylenediamine （H2NCH2CHeNH2） was found to be a highly effective catalyst for the condensation of aryl aldehydes with nitromethane （or nitroethane）. When 1%-2% （tool%） of ethylenediamine was used as the catalyst, the one-pot reaction of aryl aldehydes with nitromethane （or nitroethane） by refluxing for 3-10 h efficiently afforded various arylnitroalkenes la-ly in 85%-97% yields.

Signaling pathways transduce extracellular stimuli into cells through molecular cascades to regulate cellular *** stem cells,a small number of pathways,notably those of TGF-?/BMP,Hedgehog,Notch,and Wnt,are responsible for the regulation of pluripotency and *** embryonic development,these pathways govern cell fate specifications as well as the formation of tissues and *** adulthood,their normal functions are important for tissue homeostasis and regeneration,whereas aberrations result in diseases,such as cancer and degenerative *** complex biological systems,stem cell signaling pathways work in concert as a network and exhibit crosstalk,such as the negative crosstalk between Wnt and *** the past decade,genetic and genomic studies have identified a number of potential drug targets that are involved in stem cell signaling ***,discovery of new targets and drugs for these pathways has become one of the most active areas in both the research community and pharmaceutical *** progress has been made and several promising drug candidates have entered into clinical *** review focuses on recent advances in the discovery of novel drugs which target the Notch and Wnt pathways.

The adult cortex has long been regarded as *** injury can induce neurogenesis in the adult cortex is still ***,we report that focal ischemia stimulates a transient wave of local *** 5′-bromo-2′-deoxyuridine labeling,we demonstrated a rapid generation of doublecortin-positive neuroblasts that died quickly in mouse cerebral cortex following ***-Cre^(ER)-based cell ablation and fate mapping showed a small contribution of neuroblasts by subventricular zone neural stem *** a mini-photothrombotic ischemia mouse model and retrovirus expressing green fluorescent protein labeling,we observed maturation of locally generated new ***,fate tracing analyses using PDGFRα-,GFAP-,and Sox2-Cre^(ER) mice showed a transient wave of neuroblast generation in mild ischemic cortex and identified that Sox2-positive astrocytes were the major neurogenic cells in adult *** addition,a similar upregulation of Sox2 and appearance of neuroblasts were observed in the focal ischemic cortex of Macaca *** findings demonstrated a transient neurogenic response of Sox2-positive astrocytes in ischemic cortex,which suggests the possibility of inducing neuronal regeneration by amplifying this intrinsic response in the future.

Chyluria is a disease that may severely debilitate a patient＇s health condition. Some investigations have indicated that in patients with chyluria, part of the uptake fat and protein leaks from the ***, recurrent chyluria may result in malnutrition. In addition, with nearly one half of the body＇s the urine, depressed regulatory lymphocytes lost through functions of the lymphatic system may cause illnesses following immune deficiency. Therefore, it is imperative to provide effective and active medical care for chyluria patients. The purpose of surgical treatment is to eliminate lymphatic fistula and decrease intralymphatic pressure. We recently performed retroperitoneoscopic renal pedical lymphatic disconnection for 78 cases of chyluria patients in our hospital between April 2003 and June 2007. We herein summarize our experience as follows.

Molecular Design of Conjugated Small Molecule Nanoparticles for Synergistically Enhanced PTT/PDT

Simultaneous photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)is beneficial for enhanced cancer therapy due to the synergistic *** materials developed for synergistic PTT/PDT are generally multicomponent agents that need complicated preparation procedures and be activated by multiple laser *** emerging monocomponent diketopyrrolopyrrole(DPP)-based conjugated small molecular agents enable dual PTT/PDT under a single laser irradiation,but suffer from low singlet oxygen quantum yield,which severely restricts the therapeutic ***,we report acceptor-oriented molecular design of a donor-acceptor-donor(D-A-D)conjugated small molecule(IID-ThTPA)-based phototheranostic agent,with isoindigo(IID)as selective acceptor and triphenylamine(TPA)as *** strong D-A strength and narrow singlet-triplet energy gap endow IID-ThTPA nanoparticles(IID-ThTPA NPs)high mass extinction coefficient(18.2 L g^-1 cm^-1),competitive photothermal conversion efficiency(35.4%),and a dramatically enhanced singlet oxygen quantum yield(84.0%)comparing with previously reported monocomponent PTT/PDT *** a high PTT/PDT performance of IID-ThTPA NPs achieved superior tumor cooperative eradicating capability in vitro and in vivo.

Fluorescence sensor based on IFE between AEP@UCNPs and oxTMB for the determination of Cdin paddy rice combined with HRP enzyme inhibition mechanism

Cadmium ion (Cd2+) detection technology plays a prominent role in food safety and human health. Herein， we designed and constructed an 2-aminoethyl dihydrogen phosphate (AEP)@upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) fluorescence sensor for quantitative detection of Cd2+in paddy rice based on Inner filter effect (IFE) combined with enzyme inhibition mechanism. The AEP modification UCNPs can offer a stable fluorescence donor at 658 nm and be quenched by the oxidized tetramethylbenzidine (oxTMB) catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzymes. Without addition of Cd2+， the fluorescence of AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor was weaken due to the IFE between AEP@UCNPs and oxTMB. With addition of Cd2+， HRP enzyme activity was inhibited by Cd2+， leading to the decreased oxTMB， resulting in the enhance upconversion fluorescence intensity. As a result， the fluorescence intensity signal at 658 nm of the IFE-based AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor increased linearly with the increase in Cd2+in a wide range from 0.5 μmol/L to 6? μmol/L and the limit of detection (LOD) was 24.6 nmol/L. In addition， our proposed IFE-based AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor can achieve Cd2+detection in paddy rice in 30 min.
