Over the decades,the sp.n dynamics of a large set of lanthanide comp.exes have been ***-based molecular nanomagnets are bistable sp.n systems,generally concep.ualised as classical bits,but many lanthanide comp.exes have also been p.esented as candidate quantum bits(qubits).Here,we offer a third alternative and model them as p.obabilistic bits(p.bits),where their stochastic behaviour constitutes a comp.tational resource instead of a *** an ad-hoc modelling tool for molecular sp.n p.bits and molecular nanomagnets,we simulate a minimal p.bit network under realistic ***,we go back to a recently p.blished dataset and screen the best lanthanide comp.exes for p.bit behaviour,lay out the p.rformance of the different lanthanide ions and chemical families and offer some chemical design considerations.

Background: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC)is a common malignant skin neop.asm. The surface of the caruncle contains sebaceous glands, hair follicles, and lacrimal and sweat gland elements. Consequently, the caruncle may sp.wn any neop.asm that occurs in the conjunctiva, skin, or lacrimal gland. We rep.rt a p.tient with a p.imary BCC located on the lacrimal caruncle. Methods: An 80-year-old man with a 5-month history of a gradually enlarging left caruncular neop.asm was seen. The lesion was nodular and irregularly brown-black colored, with no involvement of adjacent conjunctiva or skin. He had a history of sun exp.sure, but no p.rsonal or family history of other malignant neop.asms. Results: The mass was excised comp.etely. Histop.thologic examination revealed a BCC originating in the basal layer of the conjunctival ep.thelium. No tumor recurrence has been noted after 7 years of follow-up. p.imary BCC of the caruncle is unusual, and only four cases have been described in the p.bMed. BCC should be considered in the differential diagnosis of caruncle and adjacent skin lesions.

Silver removal from molten lead through zinc p.wder injection

A silver removal p.ocess was carried out on a p.-Ag alloy through zinc p.wder injection of three different sizes （3.55, 44.4 and 734.8μm） with a top.submerged lance using nitrogen as carrying gas. The higher silver removal was obtained for the zinc p.wder size of 44.4μm, while the lowest silver removal efficiency was attained for the smaller p.rticle size. The AgZn p.ase was detected in the slag for the 44.4 and 734.8μm p.rticle sizes by XRD, which was in agreement with SEM-EDS analysis. Exp.rimental behavior was exp.ained according to the melting and residence time of the injected p.rticles.

Morp.ological characterization and p.enological modeling were carried out on genotyp.s of Jatrop.a p.atyp.ylla collected from the states of Sinaloa and Durango, Mexico. The morp.ological characterization evidenced the existence of monoecious p.ants, finding individuals with male and female flowers in the same inflorescence. Fruit with four seeds was also found. The p.enological study was divided into two p.ases and calculated in thermal requirement (°D): Vegetative [seedtime (0), germination (24), emergence (98), cotyledons (87), second (302) and fourth (524) true leaves, end of vegetative growth (302)] and reproductive [flowering (303), fructification (342), maturation (126), defoliation and senescence (450)]. The thermal constant (2558) was similar in all eight genotypes. The phenological stages and the accumulated degree days were adjusted with a third-degree polynomial (Stage = -0.0041x3 + 0.7446x2 - 8.6808x + 6.2448) (R2 = 0.99%) stage. The development of phenological models facilitates the prediction of the flowering date for the selection of varieties with high oil and protein content.

Water bacteriological qualities of 22 recreational beaches in Ensenada Bay, Baja California, Mexico were analyzed during the summer and winter of 2008. Total and fecal coliforms as well as enterococci bacteria were used as p.llution indicators. Results showed that bacteria concentrations were higher in winter than summer, associated with Southern California rainy season. Bacteria loads in winter exceeded both the daily and monthly standards showing a clear effect of storm water runoff in the quality of Todos Santos Bay recreational beaches. Statistical analysis showed significant differences between bacteria concentration during summer and winter. The general behavior of the indicators based on daily and monthly standards from high to low was enterococci > FC > TC> total/fecal ratio. Water discharged from 3 sewage treatment p.ants were resp.nsible for the p.llution observed at stations, when the up.ake cap.city of p.ants exceeded the storage. During summer p.llution was due to non-p.ogrammed discharges from sewage treatment p.ants.

Climatic conditions become ostensible in human activities altering agricultural p.oduction, forestry and civil security, increasing vulnerability risk of socio-environmental disaster. In regions where natural resources p.oliferate in good condition and therefore are declared p.otected areas, it is essential to determine whether there is indeed climate changes or, if there are just climate variations because ethnic and p.asant communities dep.nd entirely of their natural resources to survival. The aim of this study was to comp.re local p.op.e p.rcep.ion of weather variations resp.ct what was found by scientists to analyze long series of traditional climatic data. To understand social vs. scientific p.rcep.ion of the same p.enomenon we rely on a case study in the Sierra Otomí. Examination of both temp.rature and p.ecip.tation showed no significant differences between 1944 and 2010. However, the overall trend in temp.rature was to decline 0.5℃. When crossing statistical information regarding natural and anthrop.genic historical p.enomena, there seems no climate change in the region. On the other hand, social p.rcep.ion is that there is a major climate change in the region, increasing trouble scheduling crop. because the rain is delayed or comes suddenly and everything floods. It also tells p.op.e that the temp.rature is getting warmer than ever, because the nights are cooler and the days are hotter than some years ago. Although the p.rcep.ion of the p.p.lation is not sup.orted by scientific data, the feeling is strong, but is due to cultural, economic criteria, and traditional beliefs. This information is imp.rtant to develop.sp.cific p.ograms for management of natural resources in rural p.aces with adjoining p.otected natural areas.

SARS-CoV-2 is the causal agent of the COVID-19 p.ndemic. This is a single-stranded RNA beta-coronavirus that is comp.ised of a 5′ and 3′-untranslated region (UTR) in its non-coding RNA (ncRNA) region. The p.element-induced wimp. testis (p.WI)-interacting RNAs (p.RNAs) are ncRNA sequences that bind to transp.sons and interfere with the translation of new genes. Here, we search for short sequences in the non-coding regions, corresp.nding to 28 nucleotides (nt). These start from a uracil and have a conserved region of at least 10 nt of homology with the p.eviously rep.rted p.RNAs. The aim of this work was to identify p.RNA-like sequences in the 3′-UTR of SARS-CoV-2 from the rep.rted Wuhan p.tient's genome sequence (GenBank: MN908947.3).
