Understanding DNA methylation(DNAm)alterations in tumors is important to develop novel therapeutic targets and powerful biomarkers,and to gain insights into tumorigenesis *** many studies have highlighted the confounding effects of tumor purity in DNAm analyses,1,2,3 various tools have also been developed to tackle the issue.2,3,4 Among them,InfiniumPurify R package is a popular and widely cited tool,2,3,5 consisting of a set of statistical methods to estimate and account for tumor purity in cancer DNAm analyses.

Surgical sperm retrieval(SSR)is currently one of the most common procedures in in vitro fertilization(IVF).However,a gap between the guidelines and routine clinical practice regarding antibiotic use in sSR,which might lead to antibiotic resistance,is a challenging problem worldwide.A cross-sectional survey was conducted from May 1,2021,to July 15,2021,to investigate antibiotic usage by medical professionals when performing SSR in IVF centers in *** confidential questionnaire comprised 12 items,including characteristics of the study population,awareness of antimicrobial resistance,attitude toward prescribing antibiotics,and current practice of prescribing antibiotics when performing *** were completed by 30 of 45 registered IVF centers(66.7%).Among 67 physicians working at those centers,the age and work-experience years(mean±standard deviation[s.d.])were 38.6±6.6 years and 11.2±7.0 years,*** 60%of them held a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology,and over four-fifths were *** respondents"often/very often/always"raised awareness of antimicrobial resistance to their patients(83.3%),but only half of them"often/occasionally"prescribed antibiotics to patients with SSR in cases where the prescription would be *** one-tenth of respondents followed the recommendation from the American Urological Association using"prophylaxis only"for SSR *** more invasive SSR,physicians tended to prescribe more complicated and sometimes inappropriate *** conclusion,antibiotic usage in SSR was not always appropriate among IVF *** studies may define specific recommendations for regimens,intervention strategies,and programs to promote appropriate antibiotic use for SSR patients among IVF specialists.

The nuclear mean-field potential built up during the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O collisions at low energies relevant for the carbon-and oxygen-burning processes is constructed within the double-folding model(DFM) using the realistic ground-state densities of^(12)C and^(16)O, and CDM3Yn density-dependent nucleon–nucleon(NN) interaction. The rearrangement term, indicated by the Hugenholtz–van Hove theorem for the single-particle energy in nuclear matter, is properly considered in the DFM calculation. To validate the use of the density-dependent NN interaction at low energies, an adiabatic approximation was suggested for the dinuclear overlap density. The reliability of the nucleus–nucleus potential predicted through this low-energy version of the DFM was tested in the optical model(OM) analysis of the elastic^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O scattering data at energies below 10 MeV/*** OM results provide a consistently good description of the elastic angular distributions and 90 excitation function. The dinuclear mean-field potential predicted by the DFM is further used to determine the astrophysical S factor of the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O fusions in the barrier penetration model. Without any adjustment of the potential strength, our results reproduce the non-resonant behavior of the S factor of the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O fusions very well over a wide range of energies.

Metal organic framework(MOF)has been paid great attention as a potential candidate for various applications in the field of energy and environment,particularly in air *** various MOFs,MIL-101(Fe) represents an interesting material possessing many advantages,including the ease of fabrication,high porosity,high specific surface area with open metal sites,making it a promising material in the field of harmful gas *** these advantages,MIL-101(Fe) was synthesized by facile microwave-solvothermal method and applied as a photocatalyst for the degradation of *** de-NOxefficiency of the synthesized powder was evaluated with respect to various operating parameters including substrates,sample doses,light spectrum and light intensity,initial NO concentration,and relative *** results have shown that the efficiency of NOxphotocatalytic degradation reaches to 77%under solar irradiation via 0.1 g of MIL-101(Fe) with optimum condition of reaction,(alumina substrate,350 ppb of initial NO concentration,40–50%of relative humidity).Then this work provides the optimum condition for the efficient photocatalytic degradation of NOx.

Filters in residential and office air conditioning(A/C)systems have been used as sampling devices for monitoring different ***,cabin air filters(CAFs)in the A/C system of passenger cars have not been utilised for this *** this study,we collected22 used CAFs from passenger cars in Hanoi,Vietnam to analyse for 8 polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs)and 10 organophosphate esters(OPEs).All the analytes were detected in more than 50%of samples with the exception of BDE153 and *** average concentrations of∑10OPEs and∑8 BDEs in the captured dust were 2600 and 40 ng/g,respectively with Tris(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate(TCIPP)and BDE209 as the dominant congener in OPE and BDE groups,*** are a potential tool to qualitatively assess the levels of semi-volatile chemicals in suspended dust in cars as a screening step for exposure assessment of those chemicals.

Estimation of the Solid Waste Generation and Recycling Potential of the Hotel Sector: A Case Study in Hue City, Vietnam

This study examined the solid waste generation and recycling potential of the hotel sector in Hue City, Vietnam. The authors conducted waste measurement, waste composition, and questionnaire surveys for 45 target hotels over ten consecutive days. The waste generation rates (WGRs) by rooms, beds, guests, and workers were assessed by hotel class using the following three waste categories, considering informal waste collection: general waste (GW), separated recyclables (SRe), and separated food residue (SFR). The 5-star hotels exhibited the highest WGR per room at 1.61 kg/room/day, while 1-star hotels exhibited the lowest per-room WGR (0.39 kg/room/day). Spearman Rank correlation test revealed that hotel class and per-room, per-bed, and per-guest WGRs were significantly positively correlated (p le” (3R) promotion campaign in the future, with estimated recycling and composting potentials of 0.27 (4%) and 1.10 tons/day (16%), respectively.

驾驶员的停车场选择行为受到诸多因素的影响,这些因素将驾驶员的行为和车辆类型区分开来。在许多发展中国家,城市交通以摩托车为主,这种交通工具的多样性造成了许多交通问题,包括车辆所有权,交通拥堵,交通事故或者与之相关的停车问题（如停车位不足,非法停车等）。本研究阐明了停车场选择模型的影响因素,该模型不仅考虑汽车驾驶员,还考虑了摩托车驾驶员。本研究采用随机效用最大化（RUM）假设下的各种离散选择模型,对影响驾驶员停车选择行为模型的因素进行了评估。结果表明,混合logit模型对胡志明市摩托车和汽车驾驶员数据的处理效果较好。停车费用、停车场到目的地步行距离、停车场容量和排队时间对摩托车用户和汽车用户的停车选择均有显著影响。导航和路牌变量对汽车用户的停车选择有显著影响,但对摩托车用户的停车选择影响较小。本研究结果旨在为发展中国家和摩托车为主要交通方式城市的城市交通规划、停车需求预测和管理提供帮助。同时,研究结果有助于提高停车服务质量,减少停车问题对交通的影响,为未来技术解决方案的实施奠定基础。
