Background:IgG4-related hy.ertrophic pachy.eningitis is a relative newly.recognized and rare m.nifestation of IgG4-related disease,an im.une-m.diated fibroinflam.atory.tum.factive *** than 80 patients have been reported in the literature,and it can m.m.c com.on neurosurgical *** describe the clinical presentation of two patients that were initially.considered to have a subdural collection,tuberculous m.ningitis,and a cervical spinal m.ningiom.,but were eventually.diagnosed with this *** presentation:Two ethnic Chinese m.n,86 and 62 y.ars old,experienced a 4-week history.of *** patients had a history.of autoim.une disease,nam.ly.glom.rulonephritis and Grave’s disease,*** resonance brain im.ging revealed diffuse dural thickening with the latter patient exhibiting hom.geneous and intense gadolinium.contrast *** the 86-y.ar-old patient also had progressive bilateral visual loss,giant cell arteritis was suspected and a 2-week course of glucocorticoid therapy.was prescribed,but his sy.ptom. failed to *** 62-y.ar-old patient also had accom.any.ng low-grade fever and was treated em.irically.as having tuberculous m.ningitis although there were no confirm.tory.m.crobiological *** patient further developed right hem.paresis,and additional im.ging revealed a C4/5 intradural-extram.dullary.contrast-enhancing lesion resem.ling a m.ningiom. causing cord *** patients underwent neurosurgical intervention with the form.r undergoing a dural biopsy.and the latter having the cervical lesion *** final diagnosis was IgG4-related hy.ertrophic pachy.eningitis with the hallm.rk histological features of ly.phoplasm.cy.ic infiltration of IgG4+plasm. cells,storiform.fibrosis,and obliterative *** addition,their serum.IgG4 levels were elevated(i.e.,>135 m./dL).Both patients received at least 6 m.nths of glucocorticoid therapy.while the latter also had *** sy.ptom

Polarized electron beam.production via laser wakefield acceleration in pre-polarized plasm. is investigated by.particlein-cell *** evolution of the electron beam.polarization is studied based on the Thom.s±Bargm.nn±m.chel±Telegdi equation for the transverse and longitudinal self-injection,and the depolarization process is found to be influenced by.the injection *** the case of transverse self-injection,as found ty.ically.in the bubble regim.,the spin precession of the accelerated electrons is m.inly.influenced by.the ***,in the case of longitudinal injection in the quasi-1D regim.(for exam.le,*** et al.,***.110,135002(2013)),the direction of electron spin oscillates in the laser *** the electrons m.ve around the laser axis,the net influence of the laser field is nearly.zero and the contribution of the wakefield can be ***,an ultra-short electron beam.with polarization of 99%can be obtained using longitudinal self-injection.

Developing novel unfused building blocks with sim.le sy.thesis and low cost is essential to advance and enrich cost-effective poly.m.r donors;however,it rem.ins a challenge due to the lack of efficient m.lecular ***,a class of low-cost and fully.unfused poly.er donors with precisely.regulated backbone planarity.via halogenation was designed and sy.thesized,nam.ly.PDTBTBz-2H,PDTBTBz-2F,and *** poly.er donors possess a four-step sy.thesis route with over 80%y.eld from.cheap raw chem.cals com.arable to existing low-cost poly.er donors,such as *** from.the planar backbone via in-corporating the F…S non-covalent interactions,PDTBTBz-2F exhibits m.re robust J-ty.e aggregation in solution and a long-ranged m.lecular stacking in film.relative to PDTBTBz-2H and ***,the sy.tem.tical study.of PDTBTBz-based organic so-lar cells(OSCs)reveals the close relationship between optim.zed m.lecular self-assem.ly.and charge separation/transport regarding backbone halogenation when paired with the non-fullerene acceptor(y.-BO-4F).As a result,the photovoltaic devices based on sem.cry.talline PDTBTBz-2F achieved a prom.sing power conversion efficiency.PCE)of 12.37%.Our work highlighted the influence of backbone halogenation on the m.lecular self-assem.ly.properties and a potential unfused backbone m.tif for further developing cost-effective OSCs.

Understanding the racial specificities of diseases—such as adult diffuse gliom.,the m.st com.on prim.ry.m.lignant tum.r of the central nervous sy.tem.is a critical step toward precision ***,we com.rehensively.review studies of gliom.s in East Asian populations and other ancestry.groups to clarify.the racial differences in term. of epidem.ology.and genom.c ***,we observed a lower gliom. incidence in East Asians than in Whites;notably.patients with glioblastom. had significantly.y.unger ages of onset and longer overall survival than the *** genom.-wide association studies of various cohorts have revealed single nucleotide poly.orphism. associated with overall and subty.e-specific gliom. ***,only.3 risk loci—5p15.33,11q23.3,and 20q13.33—were shared between patients with East Asian and White ancestry.whereas other loci predom.nated only.in particular *** instance,risk loci 12p11.23,15q15-21.1,and 19p13.12 were reported in East Asians,whereas risk loci 8q24.21,1p31.3,and 1q32.1 were reported in studies in White *** the som.tic m.tational profiles of gliom.s between East Asians and non-East Asians were broadly.consistent,a lower incidence of EGFR am.lification in glioblastom. and a higher incidence of 1p19q-IDH-TERT triple-negative low-grade gliom. were observed in East Asian *** sum.arizing large-scale disease surveillance,germ.ine,and som.tic genom.c studies,this review reveals the unique characteristics of adult diffuse gliom. am.ng East Asians,to guide clinical m.nagem.nt and policy.design focused on patients with East Asian ancestry.

Pathogenicity.of Vibrios in Fish: an Overview

Bacteria of the genus Vibrio are ubiquitously.distributed in the m.rine environm.nt. Due to the rapid expansion of intensive m.riculture and the consequent deterioration of culture conditions, m.re and m.re Vibrio spp. have been recognized as pathogenic agents in outbreaks of vibriosis, a serious epizootic disease affecting m.st wild and farm.d fish species worldwide, which has becom. the m.st im.ortant lim.ting factor for the developm.nt of intensive m.riculture industry. Attem.ts have been m.de to understand the pathogenicity.of vibrios in host fish with the ultim.te aim.of elucidating the best m.ans for disease control. After an extensive literature survey.of the recent advances in the field of fish vibriosis, the pathological changes, virulence factors and associated potential pathogenic m.chanism., transm.ssion routes and related environm.ntal factors involved in outbreak of vibriosis, as well as the controlling strategies are reviewed in the present paper.
