Association and its population heterogeneities between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality: A population-based cohort study

Background: The association and its population heterogeneities between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality remain unknown. We aimed to examine the dose-dependent associations of LDL-C levels with specific types of cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality and heterogeneities in the associations among different population ***: A total of 2,968,462 participants aged 35-75 years from China Health Evaluation And risk Reduction through nationwide Teamwork (ChinaHEART) (2014-2019) were included. Cox proportional hazard models and Fine-Gray subdistribution hazard models were used to estimate associations between LDL-C categories (<70.0, 70.0-99.9, 100.0-129.9 [reference group], 130.0-159.9, 160.0-189.9, and ≥190.0 mg/dL) and all-cause and cause-specific ***: During a median follow-up of 3.7 years, 57,391 and 23,241 deaths from all-cause and overall CVD were documented. We observed J-shaped associations between LDL-C and death from all-cause, overall CVD, coronary heart disease (CHD), and ischemic stroke, and an L-shaped association between LDL-C and hemorrhagic stroke (HS) mortality (P for non-linearity <0.001). Compared with the reference group (100.0-129.9 mg/dL), very low LDL-C levels (<70.0 mg/dL) were significantly associated with increased risk of overall CVD (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.10, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.06-1.14) and HS mortality (HR: 1.37, 95% CI: 1.29-1.45). Very high LDL-C levels (≥190.0 mg/dL) were associated with increased risk of overall CVD (HR: 1.51, 95% CI: 1.40-1.62) and CHD mortality (HR: 2.08, 95% CI: 1.92-2.24). The stronger associations of very low LDL-C with risk of CVD mortality were observed in individuals with older age, low or normal body mass index, low or moderate 10-year atherosclerotic CVD risk, and those without diagnosed CVD or taking statins. 目的分析中国缺血性心脏病(IHD)5大危险因素的流行现状,为制定IHD防控政策措施和进行流行病学深入研究提供依据。方法通过在PubMed、Web of Science、中国知网文献数据库检索2019年1月1日至2023年8月30日发表的有关中国成年人高血压、糖尿病、血脂异常、吸烟、超重及肥胖流行情况的文献,筛选并纳入覆盖全国或多个省份的大样本横断面调查、人群队列或社区筛查相关研究,从中提取文献的标题、作者和出版年份、研究设计及危险因素流行率等信息,并使用软件R 4.1.2对老年人群各危险因素流行情况进行Meta分析。结果本研究共纳入文献26篇,结果显示,2010年以来中国成年人高血压总体患病率呈上升趋势,超半数(50.90%)成年人血压处于正常高值状态(收缩压120~139 mmHg,舒张压80~89 mmHg)。中国糖尿病及糖尿病前期患病人数多达4亿人以上,其中老年人糖尿病患病人数(3550万)居全球首位。中国成年人的血清低密度脂蛋白胆固醇由2010年的2.78 mmol/L上升到2015年的2.87 mmol/L、血脂异常患病率由2012—2015的34.70%增加到2018年的35.60%。中国总人群的吸烟率由2013年的27.50%下降到2018年的25.10%,但男性吸烟率仍居高不下,维持在50.00%左右。近一半(48.90%)的中国成年人超重或肥胖,男性超重与肥胖高峰年龄(超重50~54岁,肥胖35~39岁)小于女性(超重65~69岁,肥胖70~74岁)。Meta分析发现,我国老年人群IHD危险因素流行情况更为严峻,其中高血压是我国老年人群最主要的危险因素(Meta分析高血压患病率为60.58%,95%CI:54.91%~66.25%)。结论2010年以来,我国居民高血压、糖尿病、血脂异常及超重或肥胖的患病率仍呈上升趋势,虽然整体吸烟率有所下降,但男性吸烟率仍很高,应采取积极的预防措施减少主要危险因素以降低IHD疾病负担。

A theorem on Butterworth matching for piezoelectric ceramic emission transducer is presented and proved. The complicated problem of broad-band matching is changed to a simple arithmetical one due to explicit formulas of the theorem. It is shown in an example that after matching, bandwidth of the transducer increases remarkably while the power gain is close to 1.

Thermal and mechanical behavior of casting copper alloy wheel during wheel and belt continuous casting process

To investigate the thermal and mechanical behavior of casting wheel,a two-dimensional thermoelastic-plastic finite element model was used to predict the temperature,stress and distortion distribution of the casting wheel during the wheel and belt continuous casting *** effects of grinding thickness and casting speed on the thermal and mechanical behaviors of the center of the hot face of the casting wheel were discussed in *** each rotation,the casting wheel passes through four different spray *** results show that the temperature distribution of the casting wheel in different spray zones is similar,the temperature of the hot face is the highest and the temperature reaches the peak in the spray zoneⅢ.The stress and distortion depend on the temperature distribution,and the maximum stress and distortion of the hot face are 358.2 MPa and 1.82 mm,*** temperature at the center of the hot face decreases with increasing grinding thickness and increases with increasing casting speed.

Numerical simulation of fluid flow and free surface fluctuations during wheel and belt casting process

The unstable fluid flow and severe free surface fluctuations in the wheel and belt caster can affect the quality of the cast *** lower level height tends to entrap inclusions in the molten *** the other hand,the higher level height makes the production process more dangerous due to the overflow of high temperature fluid from the mold.A computational model of the molten metal pouring process was *** transient fluid flow and free surface fluctuations behavior were calculated using the three-dimensional large eddy simulation model and the volume of fluid *** results show that the flow velocity of the main jet gradually decreases under the influence of the low kinetic energy fluid in the *** is an obvious oscillation in the tail of the jet,while the flow field is asymmetric in *** jet is closer to the inside radius side due to the Coanda effect,and there is a recirculation zone on the inside radius and the outside radius respectively,according to the 10 s time-averaged *** with the industrial observation and simulation results,the shape of the free surface is a wave that varies with *** addition,the free surface height is lowest and the flow velocity is highest in the region near the jet.

Two-Stage Online Debiased Lasso Estimation and Inference for High-Dimensional Quantile Regression with Streaming Data

In this paper,the authors propose a two-stage online debiased lasso estimation and statistical inference method for high-dimensional quantile regression(QR)models in the presence of streaming *** the first stage,the authors modify the QR score function based on kernel smoothing and obtain the online lasso smoothed QR estimator through iterative *** estimation process only involves the current data batch and specific historical summary statistics,which perfectly accommodates to the special structure of streaming *** the second stage,an online debiasing procedure is carried out to eliminate biases caused by the lasso penalty as well as the accumulative approximation error so that the asymptotic normality of the resulting estimator can be *** authors conduct extensive numerical experiments to evaluate the performance of the proposed *** experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and support the theoretical *** application to the Beijing PM2.5 Dataset is also presented.

Electronic origin of structural degradation in Li-rich transition metal oxides:The case of Li_(2)MnO_(3)and Li_(2)RuO_(3)

Li_(2)MnO_(3)and Li_(2)RuO_(3)represent two prototype Li-rich transition metal(TM)oxides as high-capacity cathodes for Li-ion batteries,which have similar crystal structures but show quite different cycling ***,based on the first-princi-ples calculations,we systematically studied the electronic structures and defect properties of these two Li-rich cathodes,in order to get more understanding on the structural degradation mechanism in Li-rich TM *** calculations indicated that the structural and cycling stability of Li_(2)MnO_(3)and Li_(2)RuO_(3)depend closely on their electronic structures,especially the energy of their highest occupied electronic states(HOS),as it largely determines the defect properties of these *** Li_(2)MnO_(3)with low-energy HOS,we found that,due to the defect charge transfer mechanism,various defects can form spontaneously in its host structure as Li ions are extracted upon delithiation,which seriously deteriorates its structural and cycling *** for Li_(2)RuO_(3),on the other hand,we identified that the high-energy HOS prevents it from the defect formation upon delithi-ation and thus preserve its cycling *** studies thus illustrated an electronic origin of the structural degradation in Li-rich TM oxides and implied that it is possible to improve their cycling performances by carefully adjusting their TM compo-nents.
