The electroreduction of carbon dioxide to generate multicarbon products is significant for achieving a carbon-neutral economy. However, the selectivity for multi-carbon products faces several challenges, such as the intricate nature of the multistep hydrogenation processes, slow reaction kinetics and the bicarbonate precipitate issue caused by alkaline conditions. These factors hinder the extensive utilization of this reaction. Herein, we successfully developed and implemented a tandem electrolyzer cascade to separate and optimize the complex elementary reactions involved in the process of multi-carbon production. This approach enables us to enhance the Faradaic efficiency (FE) of each step, consequently improving the overall performance of the system. Polyelectrolytes are charged polymers comprising macromolecules in which substantial portions of the constituent units contain cationic(e.g.,pyridinium,ammonium)or anionic(e.g.,sulfonate,carboxylate)groups,which possess special functions from the features of counterions,such as dissociation to charged species,mechanical stability,phase behavior,***,functional polyelectrolytes have been widely applied in many *** this perspective,we present some progresses in the studies of poly(polyoxometalate)s,denoted as poly(POM)s,as a kind of new charged polymers/polyelectrolytes,by covalent bonding between the inorganic polyoxometalate(POM)clusters and the organic polymer *** to the distinct positions of POMs in polymer chain and functions of poly(POM)s,they are divided into the following four categories:crosslinked poly(POM);side-chain poly(POM);backbone poly(POM),including poly(POM)-conjugated polymer hybrid and block poly(POM)-polymer;and POM-based covalent organic framework(PCOF).This perspective introduces the synthesis methods of poly(POM)polyelectrolytes and their macromolecular and aggregate structural characteristics,while also focusing on their properties and *** application areas include catalysis,thermal resistance,optical functions,fuel cells and batteries,etc.

Three eusauropod teeth(SDUST-V1064,PMOL-AD00176,PMOL-ADt0005)are reported from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Ningcheng,southeastern Inner Mongolia,*** of them(SDUST-V1064,PMOL-AD00176)are assigned to early-diverging titanosauriforms in having slightly mesiodistal expansion at the base of the tooth crown,a slenderness index value>2.0 and<4.0,and D-shaped cross ***,SDUST-V1064 and PMOL-AD00176 are referred as an Euhelopus-like titanosauriform on the basis of having a sub-circular boss on the lingual surface and an asymmetrical crown-root margin which slants apically,*** scan data of SDUST-V1064 reveals new dental information of early-diverging titanosauriforms,for example,the enamel on the labial side thicker than that on the lingual side,an enamel/dentine ratio of 0.26 and a boss present on the lingual side of the dentine of the crown.

To avoid the secondary frequency dip caused by the steep drop of the electrical power of wind turbines(WTs)at the end of frequency support stage,the torque limit-based iner-tial control(TLIC)method sets the power reference as a linear function of rotor speed,rather than the step form for the step-wise inertial ***,the compensation effect on the frequency nadir(FN)caused by the load surge is weakened as the TLIC power is no longer in the step ***,the maximum point of the frequency response component(FRC)contributed by TLIC occurs earlier than the minimum point of FRC corresponding to the load surge,so that the FN cannot be adequately ***,this paper first investigates the relation between the peak and nadir times of FRCs stimulated by the TLIC and load *** this basis,with the compensation principle of matching the peak and nadir times of FRCs,the improved TLIC method based on delayed support is ***,the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated via the experiments on the test bench of wind-integrated power system.

Transition metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)as a promising substitute for the conventional noble metalbased catalyst still suffers from low activity and durability for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).To tackle the issue,herein,a new type of sulfur-doped ironnitrogen-hard carbon(S-Fe-N-HC)nanosheets with high activity and durability in acid media were developed by using a newly synthesized precursor of amide-based polymer with Fe ions based on copolymerizing two monomers of 2,5-thiophene dicarboxylic acid(TDA)as S source and 1,8-diaminonaphthalene(DAN)as N source via an amination *** as-synthesized S-Fe-N-HC features highly dispersed atomic Fe Nxmoieties embedded into rich thiophene-S doped hard carbon nanosheets filled with highly twisted graphite-like microcrystals,which is distinguished from the majority of M-N-C with soft or graphitic carbon *** unique characteristics endow S-Fe-N-HC with high ORR activity and outstanding durability in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4).Its initial half-wave potential is 0.80 V and the corresponding loss is only 21 m V after 30,000 ***,its practical PEMFC performance is a maximum power output of 628.0 mW cm^(-2)and a slight power density loss is 83.0 m W cm^(-2)after 200-cycle practical ***,theoretical calculation shows that the activity of Fe Nxmoieties on ORR can be further enhanced by sulfur doping at meta-site near FeN_(4)*** results evidently demonstrate that the dual effect of hard carbon substrate and S doping derived from the precursor platform of amid-polymers can effectively enhance the activity and durability of Fe-N-C catalysts,providing a new guidance for developing advanced M-N-C catalysts for ORR.

Hydrogen-powered electric aircraft have attracted significant interests aiming to achieve decarbonization *** DC electric networks are facing great challenges in DC fault protection *** interrupters are widely used in low voltage and medium voltage power systems due to being environmentally friendly with low *** this paper a moving coil actuator with compensation coils for a vacuum interrupter,as part of a hybrid direct current circuit breaker,is designed and experimentally *** coils are used to improve operating speed compared with original moving coil *** between four possible connections of compensation coils and original moving coil actuator are carried *** results show comparisons between different connections of actuator coils in terms of opening time and coil current with a range of pre-charged capacitor *** performance of each actuator connection is also *** actuator with compensation coils is shown to have a higher current rising rate and achieve faster opening speed,which is a critical requirement for electric aircraft network *** parallel connection actuator achieves the highest opening speed within 3.5 ms with capacitor voltage of 50 V.

We derive an effective Hamiltonian for a spin-1/2 particle confined within a curved thin layer with non-uniform thickness using the confining potential *** analysis reveals the presence of a pseudo-magnetic field and effective spin–orbit interaction(SOI)arising from the curvature,as well as an effective scalar potential resulting from variations in ***,we demonstrate that the physical effect of additional SOI from thickness fluctuations vanishes in low-dimensional systems,thus guaranteeing the robustness of spin interference measurements to thickness ***,we establish the applicability of the effective Hamiltonian in both symmetric and asymmetric confinement scenarios,which is crucial for its utilization in one-side etching systems.

Objectives:Distolingual root of the permanent mandibular first molar(PMFM-DLR)has been frequently reported,which may complicate the treatment of *** study aimed to assess the morphological features of PMFM-DLR and investigate the correlation between the morphological features of PMFM-DLR and periodontal status in patients with Eastern Chinese ethnic *** and methods:A total of 836 cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)images with 1497 mandibular first molars were analyzed to observe the prevalence of PMFM-DLR at the patients and tooth levels in Eastern *** them,complete periodontal charts were available for 69 Chinese patients with 103 *** and regression analyses were used to evaluate the correlation between the morphological features of DLR,bone loss,and periodontal clinical parameters,including clinical attachment loss(CAL),probing pocket depth(PPD),gingival recession(GR),and furcation involvement(FI).Results:The patient-level prevalence and tooth-level prevalence of DLR in mandibular first molars were 29.4%and 26.3%,*** linear regression analysis suggested that bone loss at the lingual site and CAL were negatively affected by the angle of separation between distolingual and mesial roots in the transverse section,while they were significantly influenced by age and the angle of separation between distobuccal and mesial roots in the coronal ***:The prevalence of PMFM-DLR in Eastern China was relatively high in our *** morphological features of DLR were correlated with the periodontal status of mandibular first *** study provides critical information on the morphological features of DLR for improved diagnosis and treatment options of mandibular molars with DLR.
