Effect of Biofertilizers on the Agromorphological Parameters of Three Okra cultivars in Southern côte d’Ivoire

Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) is an herbaceous plant of the Malvaceae family. In côte d’Ivoire, okra production is estimated to be over 193,000 tons. This low production is largely due to poor soils and hardly covers the needs of the population. To remedy this, growers systematically use mineral fertilizers. However, these fertilizers pollute the environment. To find an alternative to chemical fertilization and increase production, the effect of biofertilizers (Spaawet, Retone, Super Gro) compared with NPK mineral fertilizer was evaluated on Divo, Teriman, and Djonan F1 cultivars. The trial was set up in a factorial block design with three replications. Plant height, number of functional leaves, and crown diameter were assessed at 60 days after sowing (DAS). The time to 50% flowering, production time, and fruit yield were calculated. The results showed that the biofertilizer Retone induced the highest heights and number of functional leaves, with averages of 61.89 cm and 29.88 leaves, respectively. The diameter at the crown (17.77 mm) was highest with the NPK mineral fertilizer, and the shortest 50% flowering time, with an average of 47.61 days, was also obtained with the biofertilizer Retone. The NPK mineral fertilizer produced the longest production time, with an average of 35.25 days. The highest yields were obtained using Retone (11.07 t/ha) and NPK (9.52 t/ha) fertilizers. The “Divo*Retone” interaction produced the highest yield with an average of 12.19 t/ha. The biofertilizer Retone could therefore be used as an alternative fertilizer to chemical fertilization in okra crops, given its effect on the parameters assessed.

A marine geomagnetic survey was conducted over Red Bay, a broad shallow sea area in the southern part of the Shandong Peninsula, to obtain geological information to meet the needs of an underwater engineering project. Analyses of magnetic data revealed the fault structure of the bedrock and differences in lithology. At the proposed offshore dam site, the magnetic survey results indicated the position of faults which have since been confirmed by other geophysical surveys.

Optimal p-Ary codes from One-Weight and Two-Weight codes over IF_p+ vIF_p

This paper is devoted to determining the structures and properties of one-Lee weight codes and two-Lee weight projective codes ck1,k2,k3 over p IF+ v IFp with type p2k1pk2pk3. The authors introduce a distance-preserving Gray map from( IFp + v IFp)nto2np. By the Gray map, the authors construct a family of optimal one-Hamming weight p-ary linear codes from one-Lee weight codes over IFp+ v IFp, which attain the Plotkin bound and the Griesmer bound. The authors also obtain a class of optimal p-ary linear codes from two-Lee weight projective codes over IFp + vIFp, which meet the Griesmer bound.

Antimony(Sb)was utilised over several millennia as the prime material to opacify or decolour glass and glazes,as well as an accompanying element in copper(cu)*** antimony objects are rare,and mostly confined to chalcolithic central Italy and to the first millennia BcE in the southern *** innovation of antimony use in metallurgy seems to be confined to the southern caucasus,and the invention of it might be even more specifically situated in the Great *** knowledge of mining set the pathway for the initial stage of antimonial copper alloys in the first half of the third millennium BcE and for metallic antimony ornaments in the second half of the third millennium ***,the first major expansion of antimony in the metallurgy of the Racha-Lechkumi district in the southern caucasus(present-day Georgia)started around 1700 BcE,while its spreading in glassmaking occurred in the Late Bronze Age(LBA).Explanations that place antimony adoption within its broader social context are favoured over those that consider material or geological properties in isolation.A recurring theme is the importance of comparative analysis,both geographically and between the different pyrotechnologies,including the precious metals and glass industries,to explore how social,political,climatic and economic conditions affected adoption and innovation *** these factors are considered to explain why the extraction of antimony blossomed in the Late Bronze Age in the southern caucasus and to reconstruct a framework of exploitation,distribution/trade and use of antimony in the caucasus and its neighbouring regions in the south and east.

Primary biliary cholangitis (PBc) is a chronic cholestatic liver disease that is characterized by inflammation of the interlobular bile ducts. Although PBc is a slowly progressive disease, with a natural history of 10–15 years leading to end-stage liver disease, highrisk cases may rapidly progress to decompensated cirrhosis or even death. As the most common autoimmune liver disease, the prevalence of PBc has been increasing globally, largely due to increased disease awareness, improved diagnosis, and treatment with ursodeoxycholic acid (UDcA). PBc is more likely to occur in middle-aged women, with a female-to-male ratio ranging from 1.6 to10;however, men have a higher disease severity [1,2].

Synthesis and measurement of structural and magnetic properties of K-doped LacoO_3 perovskite materials

Polycrystalline La1-xKxcoO3 （0≤ x ≤ 0.2） rare earth cobaltates have been synthesized by a solution combustion method using glycine as a fuel. The synthesized ceramic materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）, and magnetic measurements and studied for physical properties, such as photoeatalytic activity. FTIR measurements in conjunction with XRD showed that phases beyond 10% K doping are accompanied by small amounts of impurities. chemical titrations show the presence of co^4＋ and account for the co^3＋-co^4＋ mixed-valency of the system. The parent LacoO3 shows spin-glass transition at low temperatures, whereas doped samples show transition from spin-glass behavior to paramagnetic ordering on progressive doping of K. ＂Mixed-conductor＂ nature of these ceramics positions them as viable candidates for solid oxide fuel cell （SOFc） applications.

Thermal Stability of Retained Austenite in TRIP Steel After Different Treatments

Thermal decomposition of retained austenite in TRIP steel was investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry（DSc）.The decomposition curve was abnormal,and the decomposition temperature and the activation energy were measured by the Kissinger method,which were all higher than those in quenched *** thermal decomposition data of samples soaked in liquid nitrogen after TRIP treatment were all similar to those without additional low temperature *** indicated that there is a high thermal stability in retained austenite of the TRIP steel at low temperature,which was also proved by XRD analysis.

SURFAcE MODIFIcATION OF MIcROPOROUS POLYPROPYLENE MEMBRANES BY GRAFT POLYMERIZATION OF N,N-DIMETHYLAMINOETHYL METHAcRYLATE

Surface modification of microporous polypropylene hollow fiber membranes was performed by radical-induced graft polymerization of N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA). The influences of temperature, monomer concentration and pre-adsorbed amount of benzoyl peroxide on grafting degree were studied respectively. It was found that the appropriate graft temperature was 75 'c, at which the grafting degree was the highest and the hydrolytic decomposition of DMAEMA the lowest. Scanning electron photomicrography and the average pore diameters of the modified membranes demonstrated that part of the micropores on the membrane surface was plugged by the grafted polyDMAEMA chains, especially at high grafting degree. contact angle and water swelling experiments showed that a moderate grafting degree could improve the hydrophilicity of the membranes. In the range of 11.3%-12.0% grafting degree, the water swelling percentage reached its maximum (51.1%) and the contact angle reached its minimum (74 degrees). The bovine serum albumin (BSA) adsorption experiment indicated that the grafted polyDMAEMA had a dual effect on protein adsorption. At the first stage, the BSA adsorption decreased with increasing of DMAEMA grafting degree. As the interaction between BSA and polyDMAEMA on membrane surface increased, the BSA adsorption increased with increasing of DMAEMA grafting degree.

Low-cost,simple,and scalable self-assembly of DNA origami nanostructures

Despite demonstrating exciting potential for applications such as drug delivery and biosensing,the development of nanodevices for practical applications and broader use in research and education are still hindered by the time,effort,and cost associated with DNA origami *** and robust methods to perform and scale the DNA origami self-assembly process are critical to facilitate broader use and translation to industrial or clinical *** report a simple approach to fold DNA origami nanostructures that is fast,robust,and *** demonstrate fabrication at scales approximately 100-1,500-fold higher than typical *** further demonstrate an approach we termed low-cost efficient annealing (LEAN) self-assembly involving initial heating at 65 ℃ for 10 min,then annealing at 51 ℃ for 2 h,followed by brief quenching at 4 ℃ that leads to effective assembly of a range of DNA origami structures *** contrast to other methods for scaling DNA origami assembly,this approach can be carried out using cheap and widely available equipment (e.g.,hot plates,water baths,and laboratory burners) and uses standard recipes and materials so is readily applied to any existing or new DNA origami *** envision these methods can facilitate device development for commercial applications and facilitate broader use of DNA origami in research and education.
