Machining experiment of micro channel structure with 6:4 brass was carried out by shaping process using a single crystal diamond tool. FEM simulation using solid cantilever beam model was analyzed. In result of experiment, tool deflection is observed as machining characteristics through result of experiments such as surface roughness, cutting force and burr formations. And the influence of tool deflection is experimentally proved.

With the rapid increase in the demand for lithium as an energy-critical element,the recovery of Li+ions from seawater is a worldwide challenging ***,we propose a new facile and fast selective recovery approach of Li+using an Al^(3+)-crosslinked poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm)/alginate(Alg)(PNP/Alg(Al)) *** in situ TEM images indicate that Alg-Al^(3+)coordination is reorganized via the rearrangement of PNIPAAm and Alg networks,as the temperature *** reorganization eventually leads to the formation of polycrystalline *** in situ FTIR results exhibit that PNP/Alg(Al) composite has peculiar phase transitions,which includes a retrogressive phase change from hydrophobic to *** synergetic effect of the strong repulsion force of Al^(3+) ions and the attractive force of negatively charged polymeric chains enables the efficient adsorption of Li+ions with a low affinity from Li-spiked seawater.7.3% of Li+ions are recovered from Li-spiked seawater although the concentration of Li-spiked seawater is very *** addition,Li+ions can be extracted from PNP/Alg(Al) composite with the use of a small thermal *** proposed thermoresponsive IPN gel provides a strong potential in practical applications for Li+recovery as an innovative energy-material strategy.

This study investigates the microstructural characteristics of AZ31 Mg alloys rolled at room temperature(RT)and cryogenic temperature(CT)and the variation in their microstructure and hardness during subsequent *** induces the formation of more side cracks than does RT rolling,because of the reduction in the ability of the material to accommodate deformation at ***{10-11}contraction and{10-11}-{10-12}double twins are formed in both the material rolled at RT and that rolled at CT,because the grains of the initial material are favorably oriented for{10-11}twinning under *** RT-rolled material has a higher dislocation density than the cryorolled material,and more twins are uniformly distributed throughout the former *** a result,static recrystallization during subsequent annealing is more pronounced in the RT-rolled material,which results in the formation of a highly recrystallized homogeneous microstructure after *** contrast,the formed twins are predominantly present along the shear bands in the cryorolled material,as a result of which this material has an inhomogeneous bi modal structure containing a large amount of coarse unrecrystallized grains after *** hardness of the annealed RT-rolled material is higher than that of the annealed cryorolled material owing to the finer grain structure of the former.

Optimization of image capturing method of wear particles for condition diagnosis of machine parts

Wear particles are inevitably occurred from moving parts, such as a piston-cylinder made from steel or hybrid materials. And a durability of these parts must be evaluated. The wear particle analysis has been known as a very effective method to foreknow and decide a moving situation and a damage of machine parts by using the digital computer image processing. But it is not laid down to calculate shape parameters of wear particle and wear volume. In order to apply image processing method in a durability evaluation of machine parts, it needs to verify the reliability of the calculated data by the image processing and to lay down the number of images and the amount of wear particles in one image. In this work, the lubricated friction experiment was carried out in order to establish the optimum image capture with the 1045 specimen under experiment condition. The wear particle data were calculated differently according to the number of image and the amount of wear particle in one image. The results show that capturing conditions need to be more than 140 wear particles in one image and over 40 images for the reliable data. Thus, the capturing method of wear particles images was optimized for condition diagnosis of machine moving parts.

Research on the quality of data in a structural calculation document(SCD)is lacking,although the SCD ofa bridge is used as an essential reference during the entire lifecycle of the *** Schema matching enables qualitative improvement of the stored *** study aimed to enhance the applicability of XML Schema matching,which improves the speed and quality of information stored in bridge ***,the authors proposed a method of reducing the computing time for the schema matching of bridge *** computing speed of schema matching was increased by 13 to 1800 times by reducing the checking process of the ***,the authors developed a heuristic solution for selecting the optimal weight factors used in the matching process to maintain a high accuracy by introducing a decision *** decision tree model was built using the content elements stored in the SCD,design companies,bridge types,and weight factors as input variables,and the matching accuracy as the target *** inverse-calculation method was applied to extract the weight factors from the decision tree model for high-accuracy schema matching results.

Similarity measure construction has been proposed as fault detection of flight test method in order to obtain the primary control surface stuck and the combination stuck of primary *** measures were obtained through analyzing the certainty and uncertainty of fuzzy membership functions,which were designed based on well-known Hamming *** was applied to the fault detection of primary control surface stuck of uninhabited aerial vehicle(UAV).At post-failure control surface,if the UAV is controllable and trimmable using other control surfaces,the UAV is able to fly or return to the safety region through reconfiguration of flight control *** detect the fault,similarity measure computations were carried *** result could be applicable with the real-time parameter estimation *** monitoring the value of coefficients due to the control surface deviation,it becomes aware that the control surface fault occurs or *** control surface stuck position and value were separated by comparing the trim value with the reference *** is the advantage of increasing in reliability without adding sensors or with additional low cost.

Pereutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） for coronary bifurcation lesions has been associated with lower procedural success rates and worse clinical outcomes compared with PCI for simple coronary lesions. Angiographic evaluation alone is sometimes inaccurate and does not reflect the fimctional significance of bifurcation lesions. The fractional flow reserve （FFR） is an easily obtainable, reliable, and reproducible physiologic parameter. This parameter is epicardial lesion specific and reflects both degree of stenosis and the myocardial territory supplied by the specific artery. Recent studies have shown that FFR-guided provisional side branch intervention strategy for bifurcation lesions is feasible and effective and can reduce unnecessary complex interventions and related complications. However, an adequate understanding of coronary physiology and the pitfalls of FFR is essential to properly use FFR for PCI of complex bifurcation lesions.

This paper focuses on a new optimization problem, which is called ''The Multiple Container Packing Problem (MCPP)" and proposes a new evolutionary approach for it. The proposed evolutionary approach uses ''Adaptive Link Adjustment Evolutionary Algorithm (ALA-EA)" as a basic framework and it incorporates a heuristic local improvement approach into ALA-EA. The first step of the local search algorithm is to raise empty space through the exchange among the packed items and then to improve the fitness value through packing unpacked items into the raised empty space. The second step is to exchange the packed items and the unpacked items one another toward improving the fitness value. The proposed algorithm is compared to the previous evolutionary approaches at the bench- mark instances (with the same container capacity) and the modifled benchmark instances (with different container capacity) and that the algorithm is proved to be superior to the previous evolutionary approaches in the solution quality.

With the growing demand for faster and more powerful computing,effective heat dissipation is essential to ensure the longevity,reliability,and high performance of electronic *** the field of modern electronic packaging materials,there is a great need for graphitic material-loaded polymeric composites(GPCs)with excellent thermal ***,the enhancement efficiency of GPCs is hindered by the agglomeration of fillers and the interfacial thermal resistance caused by the lack of continuous thermally conductive pathways between the filler and *** the interfaces between filler and matrix is of great importance in optimizing the performances of ***,we fabricated graphite nanofibers(GNF)-loaded nanocomposites using acid-functionalized GNF(AGNF)and acidtetraethylenepentamine-functionalized(TGNF)as a filler and epoxy resin as a matrix with different GNF loading contents to explore the interfacial properties of the *** optimal GNF loading for AGNF was 0.5 wt.%,while the TGNF showed 0.75 wt.%.The highest thermal conductivity(0.51 W m^(−1) K^(−1))and fracture toughness(25.8 MPa m^(1/2))values were found in the TGNF-loaded nanocomposites with a fraction of 0.75 wt.%,representing enhancements of∼145%and∼400%,respectively,compared to those of neat *** experimental data presented herein demonstrate that the interfacial properties play a significant role in enhancing the thermal and mechanical performances of the *** present approach is expected to serve as a valuable tool in the design of conductive polymeric nanocomposites for further practical applications,such as thermal interface materials and packaging of high-power electric devices.
