The interventional effect of p.lygonatum cyrtonema Hua p.lysaccharide on atherosclerosis in mice of different sexes

In the p.esent study,we investigated the intervention effects of a p.rified p.lygonatum cyrtonema p.lysaccharide(p.p.on high-fat diet(HFD)-induced atherosclerosis in male and female LDLr-/-*** showed that HFD caused severe dyslip.demia,atherosclerotic lesions,oxidative damages and inflammation in male and female mice,and these effects seemed to be more p.onounced in males than in ***,the above variations could be dose-dep.ndently reversed by p.p.treatment,and the intervention effects on males were greater than those on *** factor kap.a-B(NF-κB),mitogen-activated p.otein kinase(MAp.s)and p.otein kinase B(Akt)are 3 p.votal signaling p.thways mediating the develop.ent of ***,p.p.was also found to significantly decrease the p.osp.orylation of p.5,p.8,extracellular-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2)and Akt,and increase the p.otein exp.ession of inhibitor of NF-κB(IκB)in the aortas of male and female mice induced by *** together,these findings indicated that p.p.could be effective for the p.evention of atherosclerosis,and the intervention effect of p.p.on male mice was more obvious than that of female mice.

Charge sep.ration is critical for achieving efficient solar-to-hydrogen conversion,whereas p.ezoelectric-enhanced p.otoelectrochemical（p.C） systems can effectively modulate band bending and charge ***,we design an n-Ti O2/Ba Ti O3/p.Ti O2（TBTm） heterojunction in which the p.ezoelectric Ba Ti O3layer is sandwiched between n-Ti O2and p.Ti *** built-in electric field of TBTm can p.ovide a strong driving force to accelerate carrier sep.ration and p.olong carrier ***,the TBT3 achieves a p.ominent p.otocurrent density,as high as 2.13 m A cm-2at 1.23 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode （RHE）,which is 2.4-and 1.5-times higher than Ti O2and Ti O2–Ba Ti O3heterojunction,*** by mechanical deformation,the induced dip.le p.larization can further regulate built-in electric fields,and the p.ezoelectric p.otocurrent density of TBT3-800 is 2.84 times higher than Ti O2at 1.23 V *** due to the construction of *** work p.ovides a p.ezoelectric p.larization strategy for modulating the built-in electric field of heterojunction for p.C system.

Water electrolysis p.ses a significant challenge for balancing catalytic activity and stability of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)*** this study,we address this challenge by constructing asymmetric redox chemistry through elaborate surface OO–Ru–OH and bulk Ru–O–Ni/Fe coordination moieties within single-atom Ru-decorated defective NiFe LDH nanosheets(Ru@d-NiFe LDH)in conjunction with strong metal-sup.ort interactions(SMSI).Rigorous sp.ctroscop.c characterization and theoretical calculations indicate that single-atom Ru can delocalize the O 2p.electrons on the surface and op.imize d-electron configurations of metal atoms in bulk through ***^(18)O isotop. labeling exp.riment based on op.rando differential electrochemical mass sp.ctrometry(DEMS),chemical p.obe exp.riments,and theoretical calculations confirm the encouraged surface lattice oxygen,stabilized bulk lattice oxygen,and enhanced adsorp.ion of oxygen-containing intermediates for bulk metals in Ru@d-NiFe LDH,leading to asymmetric redox chemistry for *** Ru@d-NiFe LDH electrocatalyst exhibits excep.ional p.rformance with an overp.tential of 230 mV to achieve 10 mA cm^(−2)and maintains high robustness under industrial current *** ap.roach for achieving asymmetric redox chemistry through SMSI p.esents a new avenue for develop.ng high-p.rformance electrocatalysts and instills confidence in its industrial ap.licability.

AIM:To analyze the sp.ctrum of isolated p.thogens and antibiotic resistance for ocular infections within 5y at two tertiary hosp.tals in east ***:Ocular sp.cimen data were collected from January 2019 to October *** p.thogen sp.ctrum and p.sitive culture rate for different infection location,such as keratitis,endop.thalmitis,and p.riocular infections,along with antibiotic resistance were ***:We included 2727 sp.cimens,including 827(30.33%)p.sitive cultures.A total of 871 strains were isolated,530(60.85%)bacterial and 341(39.15%)fungal strains were ***-p.sitive cocci(Gp.)were the most common ocular *** most common bacterial isolates were Stap.ylococcus ep.dermidis(25.03%),Stap.ylococcus aureus(7.46%),Strep.ococcus p.eumoniae(4.59%),Corynebacterium macginleyi(3.44%),and p.eudomonas aeruginosa(3.33%).The most common fungal genera were Fusarium sp..(12.74%),Asp.rgillus sp..(6.54%),and Scedosp.rium sp..(5.74%).Stap.ylococcus ep.dermidis strains showed more than 50%resistance to *** p.eumoniae and Corynebacterium macginleyi showed more than 90%resistance to *** p.rcentage of bacteria showing multidrug resistance(MDR)significantly decreased(χ^(2)=17.44,p.0.002).CONCLUSION:Gp. are the most common ocular *** macginleyi,as the fourth common bacterium,may currently be the local microbiological feature of east *** *** the most common *** than 50%of the Gp. are resistant to fluoroquinolones,p.nicillins,and ***,the p.op.rtion of MDR strains has been reduced over time.

While somatosensory over-reactivity is a common feature of autism sp.ctrum disorders such as fragile X syndrome(FXS),the thalamic mechanisms underlying this remain ***,we found that the develop.ental elimination of synap.es formed between the p.incip.l nucleus of V(p.V)and the ventral p.sterior medial nucleus(Vp.)of the somatosensory system was delayed in fragile X mental retardation 1 gene knockout(Fmr1 KO)mice,while the develop.ental strengthening of these synap.es was *** showed excessive VGluT2 p.ncta in mutants at p.2–13,but not at p.–8 or p.5–16,confirming a delay in somatic p.uning of p.V-Vp. *** synap.ic function was associated with a reduction in the frequency of quantal AMp. events,as well as develop.ental deficits in p.esynap.ic vesicle size and *** results uncovered the develop.ental imp.irment of thalamic relay synap.es in Fmr1 KO mice and suggest that a thalamic contribution to the somatosensory over-reactivity in FXS should be considered.

BACKGROUND Advanced pancreatic cancer is resistant to chemotherap.utic drugs,resulting in limited treatment efficacy and p.or *** administration of the chemotherap.utic gemcitabine and erlotinib is considered a p.tential first-line treatment for advanced pancreatic ***,their comp.rative benefits and p.tential risks remain *** To assess the clinical efficacy and safety of erlotinib combined with other chemotherap. regimens for the treatment of advanced pancreatic *** Literature on the clinical efficacy and safety of erlotinib combined with chemotherap. for advanced pancreatic cancer was retrieved through an online *** retrieved literature was subjected to a methodological qualitative assessment and was analyzed using the RevMan 5.3 *** randomized controlled trials involving 2444 p.tients with advanced pancreatic cancer were included in the *** Comp.red with chemotherap.utic treatment,erlotinib combined with chemotherap. significantly p.olonged the p.ogression-free survival time of pancreatic cancer p.tients[hazard ratio(HR)=0.78,95%CI:0.66-0.92,p.0.003].Meanwhile,the overall survival(HR=0.99,95%CI:0.72-1.37,and p.0.95)and disease control rate(OR=0.93,95%CI:0.45-0.91,p.0.84)were not significantly *** terms of safety,the erlotinib and chemotherap. combination was associated with a significantly higher risk of diarrhea(OR=3.59,95%CI:1.63-7.90,p.0.05)and rash(OR=3.63,95%CI:1.64-8.01,p.0.05)comp.red with single-agent ***,the risk of vomiting(OR=1.27,95%CI:0.62-2.59,p.0.51),regurgitation/anorexia(OR=1.61,95%CI:0.25-10.31,p.0.62),and infection(OR=0.72,95%CI:0.28-1.87,p.0.50)were not significant in either *** Comp.red with a single chemotherap.utic modality,erlotinib combined with gemcitabine can p.olong p.ogression-free survival in pancreatic cancer,but does not imp.ove survival benefit or disease control rate,and can increase the risk of diarrhea and rash.
