Antiseptic efficacy of A Soap Made from Biosurfactants Isolated from Bacillus and Lactobacillus against pathogenic Bacteria

The aim of our study was to use a biosurfactant produced by Bacillus and Lactobacillus isolates as an antiseptic in the formulation of local soap. A total of 60 isolates were characterized by microbiological techniques (30 Bacillus and 30 Lactobacillus) and the ability to produce biosurfactants was demonstrated by a hydrocarbon emulsification index (e24). The emulsification indexes (e24) varied from 9% to 100% for Bacillus and from 33% to 100% for Lactobacillus as well. The antagonistic assay showed that biosurfactants were able to inhibit the formation of biofilms and growth of pathogens such as escherichia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Salmonella typhirium, Shigella boydii and proteus mirabilis. The biosurfactant consortium (BioC) from Bacillus consortium and from Lactobacillus was able to inhibit biofilm formation and the pathogens growth. The BioC was stable to alkaline pH and the temperatures stability of Biosurfactant was ranging from 50°C to 90°C. The soap was made by the cold saponification process using one biosurfactant consortium formulated. This soap has a pH of 10 and showed good cleaning power and good foam stability. Similarly, the soap showed good antiseptic power and disinfection power against all pathogens tested. Handwashing is critical to preventing disease transmission. The persistence of pathogens in waste water was evaluated. The BioS produced showed good disinfection power against all pathogens tested. The valor of reduction on the hands and in the waste water was significantly more than compared to the control soaps used. This soap could be used in the prevention, fighting, and treatment of bacterial and viral infections.

The brain of humans and other organisms is affected in various ways through the electromagneticﬁeld(eMF)radiations generated by mobile phones and cell phone *** variations in the brain are caused by the neurological changes due to the revelation of *** level analysis is used to measure and detect the effect of mobile radiations,but its utilization seems very expensive,and it is a tedious process,where its analysis requires the preparation of cell *** this regard,this research article proposes optimal broadcast-ing learning to detect changes in brain morphology due to the revelation of ***,Drosophila melanogaster acts as a specimen under the revelation of *** segmentation is performed for the brain to attain the microscopic images from the prejudicial geometrical characteristics that are removed to detect the effect of revelation of *** geometrical characteristics of the brain image of that is microscopic segmented are *** results reveal the occur-rence of several prejudicial characteristics that can be processed by machine learn-ing *** important prejudicial characteristics are given to four varieties of classiﬁers such as naïve Bayes,artiﬁcial neural network,support vector machine,and unsystematic forest for the classiﬁcation of open or nonopen micro-scopic image of *** *** results are attained through various experimental evaluations,and the said classiﬁers perform well by achieving 96.44%using the prejudicial characteristics chosen by the feature selection *** proposed system is an optimal approach that automatically identiﬁes the effect of revelation of eMF with minimal time complexity,where the machine learning techniques produce an effective framework for image processing.

Background and Aims:Long non-coding RNA small nucleolar RNA host genes(SNHGs)play a critical role in the occurrence and development of *** this study,we aimed to investigate the role of SNHG4 in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and its underlining ***:Datasets were acquired from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)*** 2.0 was used to identify the distribution of SNHG4 in HCC *** expression,Kaplan-Meier survival,microRNA and transcription factor target analyses were performed with the University of Alabama Cancer(UALCAN)Database,Kaplan-Meier plotter,LinkedOmics,WebGestalt and gene set enrichment analysis,*** Ontology and pathway enrichment analyses and assessment of RNA binding proteins were performed by R software,circlncRNAnet and encyclopedia of RNA Interactomes(eN-CORI).In addition,CirclncRNAnet and eNCORI were used to find the correlation between SNHG4 and important proteins,while the prognostic value was assessed with the Human protein Atlas database and Kaplan-Meier ***:expression of SNHG4 in HCC is higher in HCC tissue than in normal healthy liver tissues and is mainly distributed in the ***4 positively correlated with poor prognosis(perall survival and recurrence-free survival).Functional enrichment analysis revealed SNHG4 involve-ment with regulation of ribosomal RNA synthesis and the RNA processing and surveillance ***4 is closely associated with miR-154 and miR-206,transcription factor target e2F family and the signaling pathway for MApK/eRK and mTOR.U2 auxiliary factor 2(U2AF2)showed strong correlation with SNHG4,while low-expression of U2AF2 showed good ***:Based on our find-ings,we infer SNHG4 may play a role in the formation of HCC via regulation of tumor-related pathways.

Background: Chronic heart failure is a public health problem worldwide. It has a high mortality rate and is accompanied by a decreased functional capacity and alteration of the quality of life. Objective: This study aimed to assess the cardiovascular functional capacity of a group of patients suffering from heart failure using the 6-minute walk test (6 MWT). Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out in the cardiology unit of Douala’s general hospital for 4 months. We included all eligible patients aged 18 years or more who had stable chronic heart failure and gave informed consent. Those who had an acute coronary syndrome (≤1 month), tachycardia (HR ≥ 120 bpm), high blood pressure (SBp ≥ 180 mmHg and/or DBp ≥ 100 mmHg) and reduced mobility due to orthopaedic reasons were excluded. A 6 MWT was done according to the American Thoracic Society guidelines. The 6 MWT result was considered poor for - 450 m and good for >450 m. Results: We recruited a total of 81 patients (61.7% women) with a mean age of 65.9 ± 10.6 years. The most frequent risk factor for heart failure was high blood pressure (77.8%), alcohol consumption(69.1%) and a sedentary lifestyle (53.1%). The left ventricular ejection fraction was mostly preserved (42.0%) or mildly altered (46.9). The 6 MWT results were poor in 55.6% of cases, average in 19.8% of cases and good in only 24.7% of cases. More than half (59.3%) of the participants perceived the effort as being difficult. The cardiovascular functional capacity was significantly associated with age, heart failure stage and physical activity (p Conclusion: Most patients suffering from chronic stable heart failure in the general hospital of Douala have poor cardiovascular functional capacity.

Corrosion of cookware is a growing concern for the durability of materials. A rapidly emerging theme that is one of the major current societal challenges at the interface of environmental and health issues. In this present work, the corrosion of aluminum in food environments (salt water and fresh tomatoes) was studied. The three aluminum utensils were purchased in the various workshops in Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo). The weight loss method followed the effect of cooking media on cookware, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fluorescence (XRF) are two methods used to characterize alloys. XRF analysis indicates that the samples consist of aluminum as a basic element. XRD reveals that the essential building blocks of cookware samples are aluminum, silicon, iron, copper, magnesium and zinc. Finally, gravimetric measurements are carried out to assess the mass losses of samples of artisanal kitchen utensils when cooking food. Aluminum is found to be sensitive in TF and OS media.
