inspired by biological visual systems, optoelectronic synapses with image percep.ion, memory retention, and preprocessing capabilities offer a promising pathway for developing high-performance artificial perceptual vision computing systems. Among these, oxide-based optoelectronic synap.ic transistors are wellknown for their enduring photoconductive properties and ease of integration, which hold substantial potential in this regard. in this study, we utilized indium gallium zinc oxide as a semiconductor layer and high-k ZrAlOx as a gate dielectric layer to engineer low-power high-performance synap.ic transistors with photonic *** biological synap.ic functions, including excitatory postsynap.ic currents, p.ired-pulse facilitation,and the transition from short-term to long-term plasticity, were rep.icated via op.ical pulse *** simulation was sustained even at an operating voltage as low as 0.0001 V, exhibiting a conspicuous photonic synap.ic response with energy consump.ion as low as 0.0845 fJ per synap.ic event. Furthermore,an optoelectronic synap.ic device was employed to model “learn-forget-relearn” behavior similar to that exhibited by the human brain, as well as Morse code encoding. Finally, a 3×3 device array was constructed to demonstrate its advantages in image recognition and storage. This study provides an effective strategy for developing readily integrable, ultralow-power optoelectronic synapses with substantial potential in the domains of morphological visual systems, biomimetic robotics, and artificial intelligence.

The exfoliation of bulk 2H-molybdenum disulfide(2H-MoS_(2))into few-layer nanosheets with 1T-phase and controlled layers represents a daunting challenge towards the device app.ications of MoS_(2).Conventional ion intercalation assisted exfoliation needs the use of hazardous n-butyllithium and/or elaborate control of the intercalation potential to avoid the decomposition of the MoS_(2).This work reports a facile strategy by intercalating Li ions electrochemically with ether-based electrolyte into the van der Waals(vdW)channels of MoS_(2),which successfully avoids the decomposition of MoS_(2)at low *** co-intercalation of Li+and the ether solvent into MoS_(2)makes a first-order phase transformation,forming a superlattice phase,which preserves the layered structure and hence enables the exfoliation of bulk 2H-MoS_(2)into bilayer nanosheets with *** with the p.istine 2H-MoS_(2),the bilayer 1T-MoS_(2)nanosheets exhibit better electrocatalytic performance for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).This facile method should be easily extended to the exfoliation of various transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs).

Dear Editor,Zika virus(ZiKV),a pathogen within the genus Flavivirus,family Flaviviridae brought an international public health emergency due to its association with neonatal microcephaly case(platt and Miner 2017).Currently the most reliable diagnostic test is pCR detection of ZiKV RNA from body fluid ***,the short viremia window and asymptomatic/mild infections greatly reduce the success rate of pCRs(de Vasconcelos et al.2018).

BACKGROUND： in order to preserve functional liver parenchyma, extended central hepatectomy （segments 4, 5, 7 and 8 resection） was proposed for the management of centrally located hepatocellular carcinoma invading the right and middle hepatic veins, reconstructing segment 6 outflow in the absence of the thick inferior right hepatic vein. The present study was to describe our surgical techniques of extended central ***： Between 2008 and 2012, 5 patients with centrally located hepatocellular carcinoma invading or in the vicinity of the right and middle hepatic veins underwent extended central hepatectomy. The thick inferior right hepatic vein was preserved during dissection. Gore-Tex graft was used for segment 6 outflow reconstruction in the absence of the thick inferior right hepatic ***： The mean future remnant liver volume for segments 2 and 3 was 28% versus 45% on segment 6 preservation. The mean tumor diameter was 7.4 cm. The thick inferior right hepatic vein was found in 1 patient. Outflow reconstruction from segment 6 was performed in 4 patients. postoperative comp.ications included bile leakage （1 patient）, pleural effusion （2） and liver failure （1）. The rate of graft patency was 75%. There was no perioperative ***： Extended central hepatectomy is a safe alternative for extended hepatic resection in selected patients attemp.ing to preserve the functional liver parenchyma.

AiM:To explore the value of fecal lactoferrin in predicting and monitoring the clinical severity of infectious ***:patients with acute infectious diarrhea ranging from 3 mo to 10 years in age were enrolled,and one to three stool samples from each subject were *** parameters,including white blood cells /differential count,C-reactive protein,fecal mucus,fecal pus cells,duration of fever,vomiting,diarrhea and severity(indicated by Clark and Vesikari scores),were recorded and *** lactoferrin was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and compared in different pathogen and disease *** estimating equations(GEE) were also used for ***:Data included 226 evaluations for 117 individuals across three different time *** lactoferrin was higher in patients with Salmonella(11.17 μg/g ± 2.73 μg/g) or Campylobacter(10.32 μg/g ± 2.94 μg/g) infections and lower in patients with rotavirus(2.82 μg/g ± 1.27 μg/g) or norovirus(3.16 μg/g ± 1.18 μg/g) *** of fecal lactoferrin were significantly elevated in patients with severe(11.32 μg/g ± 3.29 μg/g) or moderate(3.77 μg/g ± 2.08 μg/g) disease activity compared with subjects with mild(1.51 μg/g ± 1.36 μg/g) disease activity(p is suggests that this marker could be used to monitor the severity and course of gastrointestinal infections and may provide information for disease ***:Fecal lactoferrin increased during bacterial infection and with greater disease severity and may be a good marker for predicting and monitoring intestinal inflammation in children with infectious diarrhea.

AiM: To compare the gene expression profile in a p.ir of HBV-infected ***: The gene expression profile was compared in a p.ir of HBV-infected ***: The twins displayed different disease outcomes. One acquired natural immunity against HBV,whereas the other became a chronic HBV carrier. Eightyeight and forty-six genes were found to be up- or downregulated in their pBMCs, respectively. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha-induced protein 1 (TNF-αip1) that expressed at a higher level in the HBV-immune twins was identified and four p.irs of siblings with HBV immunity by RTpCR. However, upon HBV core antigen stimulation,TNF-αip1 was downregulated in pBMCs from subjects with immunity, whereas it was slightly upregulated in HBV carriers. Bioinformatics analysis revealed a K+channel tetramerization domain in TNF-αip1 that shares a significant homology with some human, mouse, and C elegan ***: TNF-αip1 may play a role in the innate immunity against HBV.

Background:Although left-lobe donation is considered safer,right-sided donor hepatectomy predominatesin adult living donor liver transplantation(LDLT).We hypothesized that bilateral proficiency with donorhepatectomy reduces overall donor ***:A retrospective review of 834 adult LDLT donors(221 left lobes)from January 2004 toDecember 2014 was performed,dividing cases into two eras based on left-graft *** within 6 months were investigated,focusing on graft side and surgical ***:The overall comp.ication rate was 17.6%,and was higher in right-lobe *** Era 2,duringwhich left-lobe donation rates were three times higher,total comp.ications decreased(14.7%vs.20.9%,p=0.02).A significant reduction in postoperative ascites accounted for the lower overall comp.ication *** proportion of major biliary comp.ications(BCs)was halved from 62.5%to 25.0%.Right-lobe donorcomp.ications also decreased significantly(15.8%vs.22.9%,p=0.032),demonstrating that it was not onlyincreased left-lobe donations leading to lowered comp.ication rates,but also greater experience with donorhepatectomy in ***:Accumulating experience with bilateral donor hepatectomy leads to decreased donormorbidity and comparable outcomes for right and left lobes,further enhancing the goal of donor safety whilebalancing recipient needs.

AiM: To further define variables associated with increased incidences of severe toxicities following administration of yttrium-90 (p>90p>Y) ***: Fifty-eight patients undergoing 79 treatments were retrospectively assessed for development of clinical and laboratory toxicity incidence following p>90p>Y administration. Severe toxicity events were defined using Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 4.03 and defined as grade ≥ 3. Univariate logistic regression analyses were used to evaluate the effect of different factors on the incidence of severe toxicity events. Multicollinearity was assessed for all factors with p ing pearson correlation matrices. All factors not excluded due to multicollinearity were included in a multivariate logistic regression model for each measurement of severe ***: Severe (grade ≥ 3) toxicities occurred following 21.5% of the 79 treatments included in our analysis. The most common severe laboratory toxicities were severe alkaline phosphatase (17.7%), albumin (12.7%), and total bilirubin (10.1%) toxicities. Decreased pre-treatment albumin (OR = 26.2, p = 0.010) and increased pre-treatment international normalized ratio (iNR) (OR = 17.7, p = 0.048) were associated with development of severe hepatic toxicity. increased pre-treatment aspartate aminotransferase (AST; OR = 7.4, p = 0.025) and decreased pre-treatment hemoglobin (OR = 12.5, p = 0.025) were associated with severe albumin toxicity. increasing pre-treatment model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) score (OR = 1.8, p = 0.033) was associated with severe total bilirubin toxicity. Colorectal adenocarcinoma histology was associated with severe alkaline phosphatase toxicity (OR = 5.4, p = 0.043).CONCLUSiON: Clinicians should carefully consider pre-treatment albumin, iNR, AST, hemoglobin, MELD, and colorectal histology when choosing approp.iate candidates for p>90p>Y microsphere therapy.
