The onset of periodic and aperiodic convection in a binary nanofiuid satu- rated rotating porous layer is studied considering constant flux boundary conditions. The porous medium obeys Darcy＇s law, while the nanofluid envisages the effects of the Brow- nian motion and thermophoresis. The Rayleigh numbers for stationary and oscillatory convection are obtained in terms of various non-dimensional parameters. The effect of the involved physical parameters on the aperiodic convection is studied graphicMly. The results are validated in comparison with the published literature in limiting cases of the present study.

The present paper deals with the multiple solutions and their stability analy- sis of non-Newtonian micropolar nanofluid slip flow past a shrinking sheet in the presence of a passively controlled nanoparticle boundary condition. The Lie group transformation is used to find the similarity transformations which transform the governing transport equations to a system of coupled ordinary differential equations with boundary condi- tions. These coupled set of ordinary differential equation is then solved using the Runge- Kutta-Fehlberg fourth-fifth order （RKF45） method and the ode15s solver in MATLAB. For stability analysis, the eigenvalue problem is solved to check the physically realizable solution. The upper branch is found to be stable, whereas the lower branch is unsta- ble. The critical values （turning points） for suction （0 〈 sc 〈 s） and the shrinking parameter （Xc 〈 X 〈 0） are also shown graphically for both no-slip and multiple-slip conditions. Multiple regression analysis for the stable solution is carried out to inves- tigate the impact of various pertinent parameters on heat transfer rates, The Nusselt number is found to be a decreasing function of the thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters.

Some Investigations on Hybrid Fuzzy IpD Controllers for proportional and Derivative Kick Suppression

proportional and derivative kick i.e., a large change in control action of a proportional plus integral plus derivative （pID） controller due to a sudden change in reference set-point is generally undesired in process industry. Therefore, the structure of conventional parallel pID controller is modified to integral minus proportional derivative （I-pD） controller. In this paper, three hybrid fuzzy IpD controllers such as a fuzzy I-fuzzy pD （FI-FpD） controller and its hybrid combinations with its conventional counterpart such as fuzzy I-pD （FI-pD） and I-fuzzy pD （I-FpD） are presented in view of above industrial problem. These controllers are based upon the counterpart conventional I-pD controller and contains analytical formulae. Computer simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of hybrid fuzzy controllers along with conventional I-pD and pID controllers for set-point tracking and disturbance rejection for an induction motor in closed loop using LabVIEWTM environment. The gains of conventional and hybrid fuzzy controllers are tuned using genetic algorithm （GA） for minimum overshoot and settling time. It has been observed that hybrid fuzzy controllers along with the conventional I-pD controller significantly remove the kick from the control action in reference set-point tracking. However, in disturbance rejection, I-pD and FI-pD controllers fail to eliminate the kick from the control signal. In contrast, FI-FpD and I-FpD controllers considerably reduced spikes from the control action in disturbance rejection. Among the conventional and hybrid fuzzy IpD controllers, FI--FpD demonstrates much better set-point tracking and disturbance rejection response with spike free control action.

Etchability of Latent Fission Fragment Tracks in CR-39

We report the chemical etching behaviour of the CR-39 polymer detector exposed to fission fragments of 252Cf describing etchability of latent tracks, which are like nanocylinders. The fission fragment exposed detectors were etched in 1-7 N NaOH water solutions at temperatures 50-80℃ for 45 min in the case of track length and 180 min in the case of track diameter measurements. The reduced etch rate S （called here etchability） is determined using experimental results for all etching conditions and the etching conditions with the highest reduced etch are obtained. physics and energetics of bulk and track etching are discussed. possible effects causing spurious changes in determination of activation energy of etching are investigated.

We reports a phase-space structure of MeV proton beam planar channelled along {110} planes in Si crystal using simulation results with the help of a computer code FLUX. The aim is to understand channelling conditions suitable for disorder measurement in crystals. phase-space distribution of a planar channelled proton beam evolutes in a systematic fashion when it travels into the crystal. planar channelled beam oscillates between phase-like and space-like conditions in which a part of the beam becomes under phase and space criticalities. These criticality conditions in planar channelling are analysed, explained and discussed with the perspective of defect measurement in crystals.

New measurements of fission fragment and alpha particle induced surface damage in the most sensitive and commonly used nuclear track detector CR-39 are presented *** designed and optimized exposure and chemical etching experiments are employed to unfold the structure of radiation induced surface damage(RISD).Delay in the startup of the chemical etching of latent tracks or surface radiation damage is measured and is found to contain important information about the structure of the surface *** atomic scale pictures of RISD and its chemical etching are developed in an empirical *** model and experimental findings coherently compose a realistic picture of early or femtosecond evolution of RISD.

A criterion for formation of etchable tracks in solids is suggested using the well-known concepts of ionization and thermal spikes, diffusion process with useful and justified assumptions, and present or published experimental and theoretical investigations on the same subject. The suggested criterion is useful for a wide spectrum of researchers including development and applications of track recording materials, ions implantation, sputtering and other areas, which include interactions of charged particles with solids.
