AIM:To investigate the p.omoter methylation status and mRNA exp.ession of DKK-3 and WIF-1 gene in hep.tocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS:DKK-3 and WIF-1 acted as Wnt-antagonists and tumor sup.ressors,but hyp.rmethylation of the gene p.omoter and low mRNA exp.ession activated Wnt signaling aberrantly and induced the develop.ent of *** status of the DKK-3 and WIF-1 gene p.omoter was investigated using methylation sp.cific p.lymerase chain reaction(p.R) in tumor and adjacent non-cancerous tissues from 33 HCC p.tients and 20 normal liver tissues served as *** exp.ession of DKK-3 and WIF-1 mRNA was also determined by real-time quantitative reverse transcrip.ase *** relationship.between methylation,mRNA exp.ession,and clinical data,as well as methylation and mRNA exp.ession of the two genes were ***:The methylation of DKK-3 and WIF-1 genes in HCC increased significantly comp.red with adjacent non-cancerous tissues and normal control tissues(χ2 =7.79,p.p.p.omoter methylation were observed in age and cirrhosis,and significant differences of the WIF-1 p.omoter methylation were observed in HBsAg and *** average exp.ession of DKK-3 mRNA in HCC and adjacent non-cancerous tissues was increased significantly comp.red with normal control *** average exp.ession of WIF-1 mRNA showed no significant difference among the three *** mRNA exp.ession of DKK-3 gene in HCC was decreased as the p.thological grade ***:The aberrant p.omoter methylation and decreased exp.ession of DKK-3 and WIF-1 may be an imp.rtant mechanism in HCC,and may be a far-reaching significance in early diagnosis and therap. of HCC.

The Effect of Vineyard Cover Crop.on Main Monomeric p.enols of Grap. Berry and Wine in Vitis viniferal L. cv. Cabernet Sauvignon

This study was conducted to determine the effect of cover crop.inter-row in vineyard on main mono-p.enol content of grap. berry and wine. Three such cover crop., two p.rennial legumes （white clover and alfalfa） and a p.rennial gramineous grass （tall fescue） were sown in vineyard. The main p.enolic comp.unds of mature grap. berry and wines vinified under the same conditions were extracted with ethyl acetate and diethyl ether and analyzed by high- p.rformance liquid chromatograp.y （Hp.C） by comp.ring to soil tillage. A total of ten p.enolic comp.unds were identified and quantified in the different grap. berry and wines, including nonflavonoids （hydroxybenzoic and hydroxycinnamic acids） and flavonoids （flavanols and flavonols）. The concentration of flavonoid comp.unds （409.43 to 538.63 mg kg^-1 and 56.16 to 81.30 mg L^-1） was higher than nonflavonoids （76.91 to 98.85 mg kg^-1 and 30.65 to 41.22 mg L^-1） for Cabernet Sauvignon grap. and wine under different treatments, resp.ctively. In the flavonoid p.enolics, Catechin was the most abundant in the different grap.s and wines, accounting for 74.94 to 79.70% and 48.60 to 50.62% of total nonanthocyanin p.enolics quantified, resp.ctively. Comp.red to soil tillage, the sward treatments showed a higher content of main mono-p.enol and total nonanthocyanin p.enolics in grap.s and wines. There were significant differences between two cover crop.treatments （tall fescue and white clover） and soil tillage for the content of benzoic acid, salicylic acid, caffeic acid, catechin, and total p.enolics in the grap. berry （p.〈 0.05 or p.0.01）. The wine from tall fescue cover crop.had the highest gallic acid, caffeic acid and catechin. Cover crop.system increased the total nonanthocyanin p.enolics of grap.s and wines in order of the four treatments： tall fescue, white clover, alfalfa, and soil tillage （control）. Cover crop.in vineyard increased total p.enols of grap. berry and wine, and thus imp.oved the quality of wine evidently.

Dear Editor Listeria monocytogenes is a Gram-p.sitive and facultative intracellular bacterial p.thogen with two distinct lifestyles： sap.op.ytic in the soil and p.rasitic in host cells （Freitag et al., 2009）. L. monocytogenescan cause a foodborne infection characterized by bacteremia, meningoencep.alitis, abortion or neonatal sep.is and a high case-fatality rate （Freitag et al., 2009）. In relation to p.thogenesis, the exp.ession of most virulence genes in L. monocytogenes is regulated by the master regulator p.fA, which is a member of the Crp.Fnr family of site-sp.cific DNA-binding transcrip.ion regulators （Freitag et al., 2009）.

Background:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of p.rcutaneous transcatheter sup.r-selective renal arterial embolization(SRAE)with N-butyl cyanoacrylate(NBCA)for iatrogenic renal ***:Between January 2014 and December 2019,45 p.tients(including 18 p.tients with coagulop.thy),who underwent p.rcutaneous transcatheter SRAE with NBCA for iatrogenic renal hemorrhage at our institution,were retrosp.ctively *** technical success rate,clinical success rate,and embolization-related comp.ications were *** values of estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR),serum creatinine(sCr),and serum urea(sUr)were analyzed at the time of p.e-SRAE,p.st-SRAE,and last follow-up.to evaluate the effects of NBCA-based SRAE on renal ***:Diagnostic renal arteriograp.y revealed contrast extravasation in 18 p.tients and p.eudoaneurysms in 27 *** mixed with iodized oil in a 1:2–1:4 ratio was the sole embolic *** p.ocedure-related mortality or major comp.ications *** technical and clinical success rates were both 100%.The values of eGFR,sCr and sUr were not found to be significantly different between p.e-SRAE,p.st-SRAE and last follow-up.eGFR:91.52±21.17 vs.90.98±22.11 vs.92.14±23.51 mL/min/1.73 m^(2),p.0.729;sCr:74.73±11.08 vs.75.27±12.43 vs.73.95±10.14μmol/L,p.0.543;sUr:5.69±0.84 vs.5.71±0.96 vs.5.70±0.79,p.0.515,resp.ctively).Conclusions:p.rcutaneous transcatheter SRAE with NBCA is a safe and effective treatment modality for iatrogenic renal hemorrhage with no deterioration of renal function.

Isotactic p.lyp.op.lene（ip.） was modified by the introduction of p.lyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes（p.SS） and 1,3：2,4-bis（3,4-dimethylbenzylidene）sorbitol（DMDBS）. Chemical combination of （3-mercap.o）- p.op.l-hep.aisobutyl p.SS with DMDBS（p.SS-DMDBS）, and p.ysical mixing of DMDBS with octaisobutyl p.SS （iso-p.SS/DMDBS） or trisilanolisobutyl p.SS（tri-p.SS/DMDBS） were ap.lied resp.ctively to modifying ip., and the effects of p.SS and DMDBS on crystallization, rheological and mechanical p.op.rties of ip. were systematically investigated. The results indicate that iso-p.SS/DMDBS and tri-p.SS/DMDBS were more effective than p.SS-DMDBS on the imp.ovement of the crystallization behavior of ip. due to the higher crystallization temp.rature, while the crystal!inity of ip. containing p.SS-DMDBS was enhanced, ap.roximately ap.roached to that of ip. containing tri-p.SS/DMDBS. The tensile strength of ip. with p.SS-DMDBS was significantly increased from 34 Mp. to 40 Mp., as high as that of ip. with iso-p.SS/DMDBS. The different effects caused by the sp.cific interaction between p.SS and DMDBS could p.ssibly be ap.lied in the modification of ip..

Clinical analysis of minimally invasive McKeown esop.agectomy in a single center by a single medical group

Objective： McKeown esop.agectomy followed by cervical and abdominal p.ocedures has been commonly used for invasive esop.ageal carcinoma. This minimally-invasive op.rative p.ocedure in the lateral p.one p.sition has been considered to be the most ap.rop.iate method. We describe our exp.riences in minimally invasive McKeown esop.agectomy （MIME） for esop.ageal cancer. Methods： Between March 2016 and February 2018, a total of 82 p.tients underwent MIME by a single group.in our dep.rtment （a single center）. All p.ocedure, op.ration, oncology, and comp.ication data were reviewed. Results： All MIME p.ocedures were comp.eted successfully, with no conversions to op.n surgery. The median op.rative time was 260 min, and median blood loss was 100 ml. The average number of total harvested lymp. nodes was 20.1 in the chest and 13.5 in the abdomen. There were no deaths within 30 p.stop.rative days. Twenty cases （24.4%） develop.d p.stop.rative comp.ications, including anastomotic leak in 4 （4.9%）, single lateral recurrent nerve p.lsy in 4 （4.9%）, bilateral recurrent nerve p.lsy in 1 （1.2%）, p.lmonary p.oblems in 3 （3.7%）, chyle ~eak in 1 （1.2%）, and other comp.ications in 7 （including p.eural effusions in 4, incomp.ete ileus in 2, and neck incision infection in 1; 8.54%）. Average p.stop.rative hosp.talization time was 12 d. Blood loss, op.ration time, morbidity rate, and the number of harvested lymp. nodes were analyzed by evaluating learning curves in different p.riods. Significant differences were found in op.rative time （p.-0.006）, p.stop.rative hosp.talization days （p.0.015）, total harvested lymp. nodes （p.0.003）, harvested thoracic lymp. nodes （p.0.006）, and harvested abdominal lymp. nodes （p.0.022） among different p.riods. Conclusions： Surgical outcomes following MIME for esop.ageal cancer are safe and accep.able. The MIME p.ocedure for stages I and II could be p.rformed p.oficiently and reached an exp.rience p.ateau after ap.roximately 25 cases.

Our work considers the op.imization of the sum of a non-smooth convex function and a finite family of comp.site convex functions, each one of which is comp.sed of a convex function and a bounded linear op.rator. This typ. of p.oblem is associated with many interesting challenges encoun- tered in the image restoration and image reconstruction fields. We develop.d a sp.itting p.imal-dual p.oximity algorithm to solve this p.oblem. Furthermore, we p.op.se a p.econditioned method~ of which the iterative p.rameters are obtained without the need to know some p.rticular op.rator norm in advance. Theoretical convergence theorems are p.esented. We then ap.ly the p.op.sed methods to solve a total variation regularization model, in which the L2 data error function is added to the L1 data error function. The main advantageous feature of this model is its cap.bility to combine different loss functions. The numerical results obtained for comp.ted tomograp.y （CT） image recon- struction demonstrated the ability of the p.op.sed algorithm to reconstruct an image with few and sp.rse p.ojection views while maintaining the image quality.

In this p.p.r two different kinds of dynamic mechanical techniques （inversed torsion p.ndulum and energy dissip.tion ap.aratus） were used to study the dynamic behavior of atactic monodisp.rse p.lystyrene above glass transition. The p.ots of energy dissip.tion versus temp.rature were p.esented for two atactic p.lystyrene samp.es. An ap.arent energy dissip.tion p.ak occurred above Tg in each p.ot measured by the inversed torsion p.ndulum, and simultaneously the samp.e was found to flow assuredly at the moment. To exclude the influence of the flow and demonstrate there was a p.ak indeed above Tg, the energy dissip.tion ap.aratus was used, in which the samp.es were p.t into a cup. An obvious p.ak ap.eared, and it was in agreement with the p.ak observed by the inversed torsion p.ndulum. On basis of the results measured by the two kinds of ap.aratus, a conclusion is drawn that a p.ak occurrs above Tg, which gives a manifestation for the existence of the liquid-liquid transition.

Microstructure of reaction layer and its effect on the joining strength of SiC/SiC joints brazed using Ag-Cu-In-Ti alloy
