This study investigates the use of waste fat biodiesel(WFB)from the leather industry as a substitute for diesel ***,it examines the diesel engine p.rformance of WFB,a blend of WFB and diesel(B50),and different blends of WFB and silicon dioxide(SiO_(2))nanop.rticles(B50SiO_(2)40,B50SiO_(2)80,and B50SiO_(2)120μg/g).The results indicate that the B50SiO_(2)120 blend increases brake thermal efficiency by 10.03%comp.red to p.re biodiesel but falls 1.93%short of neat ***,the B50SiO_(2)120 mixture reduces smoke,hydrocarbon,and carbon monoxide emissions by 31.87%,34.14%,and 43.97%resp.ctively,comp.red to ***,the B50SiO_(2)120 blend shows a 4.91%increase in nitrogen oxide emissions comp.red to diesel.

The p.esent study aimed to evaluate multi-element concentrations(Al,As,Ca,Cd,Co,Cr,Cu,Fe,Mg,Mn,Mo,Ni,p.,Sr)in susp.nded p.rticulate material(Sp.)collected from Ensenada de La p.z(ELp.lagoon,Baja California Sur,Mexico in two different p.riods(Sep.ember and May)to comp.ehend their origin,geochemical behavior,mass transfer and associated ecotoxicological *** 24 hr variation coefficient of volumetric Sp. levels were found to be 51.7%in Sep.ember and 40.5%in May,signifying the effects of oceanic *** calculated enrichment factor(EF)values for all the studied elements were of higher magnitude because of the high surface area and oxide nature of Sp.,and in this study,Mo had the highest EF of 46.77 p.obably due to its origin from continental *** the ecotoxicological p.rsp.ctive,the integrated toxic risk index revealed low toxic risk to the benthic ***,the mean-ERM-Quotient calculated using the p.rticulate concentrations of As,Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,p. indicated 9%p.obability of toxicity to *** comp.ehensive geochemical and ecotoxicological assessment of p.rticulate metal concentrations in the ELp.lagoon signify low to moderate contamination.

This study focuses on assessing the dynamic behaviors of carbon Sup.rcomp.siteTM laminates when subjected to high strain-rates and air blast loads, using a shock tube for testing. The investigation aims to understand the resp.nse of these advanced materials under extreme conditions, which is crucial for ap.lications in aerosp.ce, military, and other high-p.rformance industries. Sup.rcomp.siteTM (CZE) p.ep.eg, made up.of a 3K p.ain weave carbon fabric with milled carbon fibers as interlaminar reinforcements imp.egnated with ep.xy, is used to create Sup.rcomp.siteTM (CZE) laminates. A woven carbon comp.site (CBE) laminate was also created using 3K p.ain weave Carbon/Ep.xy (CBE) p.ep.eg. Both typ.s of laminates were designed and fabricated using the autoclave p.ocess. The dynamic behaviors of CZE and CBE laminate under transverse comp.ession loads were evaluated using a modified Sp.it Hop.inson p.essure Bar (SHp.). The study found that the 3D reinforcement with milled carbon fibers significantly affected the dynamic behavior of the CZE laminate. Stereo imaging videos, cap.ured using two SHIMADZU high-sp.ed video cameras in shock tube exp.riments, recorded the time history of back surface deflection. The p.ate sp.cimens exhibited low deflections without any visible damage. The exp.rimentally observed center p.int deflections of the CZE p.ates decayed sooner than those of the CBE laminates, indicating an imp.ovement in damp.ng due to the p.esence of 3D reinforced milled carbon fibers. This research shows that op.imized utilization of milled carbon fibers as 3D reinforcement can withstand high stress in the thickness direction and higher energy absorp.ion when subjected to imp.ct and high strain-rate loading.

The p.esent study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of lanthanum(La3+)-dop.d calcium nanoferrites(CaLaxFe2-xO4:x=0.025,0.050,0.075 and 0.100) using the sonochemical *** techniques were emp.oyed to analyze the effect of La3+infusion,Raman sp.ctroscop. confirms the p.esence of active A1g,T2gand Egmodes in the CaLaxFe2-xO4nanoferrite,indicating the formation of an active ferrite *** introduction of La3+dop.ng results in a significant increase in the band gap.energy,rendering the nanoferrites insulating（3.23-3,57 eV）.At higher frequencies,the imp.dance studies reveal minimal losses and better AC conductivity,p.inting to imp.oved dielectric *** higher frequencies,the Q-factor of La-dop.d calcium nanoferrites shows lower electromagnetic *** M-H curve exhibits ferromagnetic behavior,with La3+-dop.d calcium nano ferrites disp.aying a saturation magnetization ranging from 12.72 to 18.10 emu/*** incorp.ration of La3+also induces enhanced electrical p.larization,leading to notable dielectric loss and increased absorp.ion of electromagnetic ***,these CaLaxFe2-xO4nanoferrites demonstrate p.tential as effective microwave absorbers across a wide frequency range,with significant shielding absorp.ion observed at 8.8-9.1 GHz.

Objective:To evaluate the antimalarial activity of noscap.ne against p.asmodium falcip.rum 3D7 strain(p.3D7),its clinical isolate(p.140/SS),and p.asmodium berghei ANKA(p.A).Methods:Using ring-stage survival assay,p.enotyp.c assessments,and SYBR-green-based fluorescence assay,the antimalarial activities of noscap.ne were assessed comp.red with dihydroartemisinin(DHA)in in vivo and in vitro *** addition,hemolysis and cytotoxicity tests were carried out to evaluate its ***-p.R assay was also conducted to determine the effect of noscap.ne on p.p.in-like cysteine p.otease p.asmodium falcip.rum falcip.in-2(p.Fp.2).Results:The antimalarial efficacy of noscap.ne against p.3D7 and p.140/SS was comp.rable to DHA,with IC50 values of(7.68±0.88)and(5.57±0.74)nM/mL,resp.ctively,and>95%inhibition of p.A infected *** also showed a safe p.ofile,as evidenced by low hemolysis and cytotoxicity even at high ***,p.Fp.2 exp.ession was significantly inhibited in both noscap.ne-treated p.3D7 and p.140/SS(p.0.01).Conclusions:Noscap.ne has antimalarial p.op.rties comp.rable to standard antimalarial DHA with better safety p.ofiles,which may be further exp.ored as a therap.utic candidate for the treatment of malaria.

Groundwater p.llution by fluoride is one of the p.ime concerns of the world p.p.lation due to its toxicity,which results in adverse health *** this p.p.r,we review the current scenario of the fluoride contamination of groundwater in various countries across the globe and its imp.ct on human *** the last decade,several newly affected regions have been rep.rted all over the world,with more than 100 countries affected by fluoride contamination in groundwater(concentration exceeding the accep.able limit of 1.5 mg/L defined by the World Health Organization).Fluoride p.isoning is mainly due to the unsup.rvised ingestion of p.oducts for dental and oral hygiene and over-fluoridated drinking *** is estimated that more than 200 million p.op.e from different countries are affected by fluoriderelated groundwater issues and health *** highest among these are from the countries in Africa(38),Asia(28),and Europ.(24),followed by countries like South America(5),North America(3),and Australia(2).The source of fluoride in drinking water is p.imarily geogenic,together with forage,grasses and grains,tea,and anthrop.genic *** countries affected were correlated with climatic zones and geological factors to gain insights into geosp.tial *** analyses show that most of the fluoride p.llution-p.one zones are located in high-grade metamorp.ic terranes with granitoid or alkaline intrusions,geothermal hot sp.ings,and volcanic regions with arid or semi-arid climatic *** study also finds that children across the globe are more vulnerable than adults to fluoride *** review finds that,although there are efficient fluoride removal techniques,including filters with next-generation nanomaterials,to date,there has not been a single technique develop.d that can claim to be a p.actically robust solution for fluoride removal from drinking ***,we suggest develop.ng next-generation filters that can retain essential miner
