Resilience indicators support valuation of estuarine ecosystem restoration under climate change

economic valuation of ecological restoration most often encompasses only the most tangible ecosystem service benefits,thereby omitting many difficult-to measure benefits,including those derived from enhanced reliability of ecosystem *** climate change is likely to impose novel ecosystem stressors,a typical approach to valuing benefits may fail to capture the contribution of ecosystem resilience to sustaining long-term ***,we generally lack predictive probabilistic models that would enable measurement and valuation of ***,alternative measures are needed to complement monetary values and broaden understanding of restoration *** use a case study of Chesapeake Bay restoration(total maximum daily load)to show that ecosystem service benefits that are typically monetized leave critical information *** address these gaps,we review evidence for ecosystem services that can be quantified or described,including changes in harmful algal bloom *** further pro.o.e two integrative indicators of estuarine resilience-the extent of submerged aquatic vegetation and spatial distribution of *** aquatic vegetation extent is indicative of qualities of ecosystems that pro.o.e positive feedbacks to water *** distributed fish populations reduce risk by promoting diverse responses to spatially heterogeneous *** synthesis and new analyses for the Chesapeake Bay suggest that resilience metrics improve understanding of restoration benefits by demonstrating how nutrient and sediment load reductions will alleviate multiple sources of stress,thereby enhancing the system’s capacity to absorb or adapt to extreme events or novel stresses.

Traditional security systems are exposed to many various attacks,which represents a majo. challenge for the spread of the Internet in the *** techniques have been suggested for detecting attacks using machine learning and deep *** significant advantage of deep learning is that it is highly efficient,but it needs a large training time with a lot of ***,in this paper,we present a new feature reduction strategy based on Distributed Cumulative Histograms(DCH)to distinguish between dataset features to locate the most effective *** histograms assess the dataset instance patterns of the applied features to identify the most effective attributes that can significantly impact the classification *** different models for detecting attacks using Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and Long Short-Term Memory Network(LSTM)are also *** accuracy test of attack detection using the hybrid model was 98.96%on the UNSW-NP15 *** pro.o.ed model is compared with wrapper-based and filter-based Feature Selection(FS)*** pro.o.ed model reduced classification time and increased detection accuracy.

HPLC Determination of Ascorbic Acid Using Luminol-Cu(Ⅱ) Chemiluminescence-Application to the Analysis of Juice Beverage

The chemiluminescence (CL) of luminol-Cu(Ⅱ) was applied to HPLC determination o f ascorbic acid, which was separated by a C 18 reverse-phase column with a mobile phase of 0.25 mol/L HAc. The eluted ascorbic acid was mixed with 0.3 mmol/L l um inol and 0.05 mol/L CuSo 4. The light emission from the reaction of Cu(Ⅱ) oxi diz ed ascorbic acid and luminol was detected by a modified luminometer. The detecti on limit was 3.6×10 -6 mol/L for ascorbic acid at a S/N ratio of 3, and the linea r calibration range was 2×10 -4\| 2×10 -3 mol/L. The relative standard deviation for 5 replicate injections of 1×10 -3 mol/L ascorbic acid was calculated as 4.3 % . The method was successfully applied to determination of ascorbic acid in juice beverage.

目的:测试服用和未服用β-受体阻断剂的心梗后患者(PMIP)在跑台运动中其功能、生理、临床及自我感觉方面的反应。方法:46名服用β-受体阻断剂的男性PMIP和55名未服用β-受体阻断剂的男性PMIP进行递增负荷运动实验,其间记录每级负荷时的摄氧量(Vo2)、心率(HR)、血压和自我用力感觉(RPe),并持续监测12导联心电图(eCG)。结果:服用β-受体阻断剂的患者其安静时和运动中的HR、最大心率百分比(%HRmax)及心率—血压乘积(RPP)显著低于未服用β-受体阻断剂的患者(Po2、RPe及ST段下移无显著性差异。结论:由β受体阻断剂所致的HR降低并没有直接地影响到氧利用和代谢机能。

Risk Perception of Seasonal and Swine Influenza Among University College Students： Does Study Direction Influence Attitudes？

In 2009, Norway faced the global challenge of the influenza pandemic. Risk communication is an important tool within healthy promoting work. In this study the main aim was to explore reflections of students on the risk assessment of season flu and the swine flu in 2009 according to field of study. A cross-sectional questionnaire survey based on 505 students is presented. 42.4% were health subject students, and 57.6% were non-health subject related students. The majo.ity of the students were 20-24 years old. Most of the respondents were not concerned at being infected with the swine flu, and did underestimate the death toll of the common flu. Students were more concerned about the swine flu than the regular season flu. By logistic regression, the odds ratio for taking the swine flu vaccine was greater among students who were concerned （o.R. = 2.5）. During the swine flu pandemic, student trust towards the health authorities was low. Among the students, 74% stated they would consider advice from the health authorities, 37% from their parents and 20% from mass media. Stating risk of getting the common flu was at the medium or great risk level for far less non-health students than for health students, 38.2% versus 55.6%, P = 0.001. The perceived infection risk was likewise higher in the health student group, 52.4% versus 36.2%, P = 0.001. The respondents had little faith in general public vaccination as well as being critical concerning side effects of vaccination. The results from the study indicated that the students would rather follow advice about their personal hygiene than advice to take the swine flu-vaccine.

First principles investigation of protactinium-based oxide-perovskites for flexible opto electronic devices

The structural,elastic,mechanical,electronic,and optical properties of KPao_3 and RbPao_3 compounds are investigated from first-principles calculations by using the WIeN2 k code in the frame of local density approximation（LDA） and generalized gradient approximation（GGA）.The calculated ground state quantities,such as lattice constant（α_0）,ground state energy（e）,bulk modulus（S）,and their pressure derivative（B_p） are in reasonable agreement with the present analytical and previous theoretical results and available experimental *** on several elastic and mechanical parameters,the structural stability,hardness,stiffness and the brittle and ductile behaviors are discussed,which reveal that protactiniumbased oxide series of perovskites is mechanically stable and possesses weak resistance to shear deformation compared with resistance to unidirectional compression while flexible and covalent behaviors are dominated in *** analysis of band profile through Trans-Blaha modified Becke-jo.nson（TB-mBJ） potential highlights the underestimation of bandgap with traditional density functional theory（DFT） *** contribution of electronic states is investigated by means of total and partial density of states and it can be evaluated that both compounds are（Γ-Γ） direct bandgap *** fundamental optical properties are analyzed while attention is paid to absorption and reflection spectra to explore extensive absorptions and reflections of these compounds in high frequency *** present method represents an influential approach to calculating the whole set of elastic,mechanical,and opto-electronic parameters,which would conduce to the understanding of various physical phenomena and empower the device engineers to implement these materials in flexible opto-electronic applications.

Direct Determination of Trace Silicon in Lanthanum oxide by Using a Selective Volatility and Slurry Sampling-FeTV-ICP-AeS

A new method for determination of trace silicon in high purity lanthanum oxide by using electrothermal vaporization (eTV) ICP AeS with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFe) slurry as a fluorinating reagent has been pro.o.ed. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the fluorination reactions of analyte(Si) and matrix(La) with PTFe in the graphite furnace took place at high temperature, and the fractional volatilily between Si and La was observed. Based on this principle the matrix interference could be eliminated. The detection limit of Si was 4.0 μg·L -1 , and the RSD was 3.4%( C =0.2 mg·L -1 , n =10). The procedure pro.o.ed has been applied successfully to determine trace Si in La 2o 3 without any chemical pre treatment.
