The Sloane Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) has been in the process of creating a 3D digital map of the Universe, since 2000AD. However, it has not been able to map that portion of the sky which is occluded by the dust gas and stars of our own Milkyway Galaxy. This research builds on work from a previous paper that sought to impute this missing galactic information using Inpainting, polar transforms and Linear Regression ANNs. In that paper, the author only attempted to impute the data in the Northern hemisphere using the ANN model, which subsequently confirmed the existence of the Great Attractor and the homogeneity of the Universe. In this paper, the author has imputed the Southern Hemisphere and discovered a region that is mostly devoid of stars. Since this area appears to be the counterpart to the Great Attractor, the author refers to it as the Great Repeller and postulates that it is an area of physical repulsion, inline with the work of GerdPommerenke and others. Finally, the paper investigates large scale structures in the imputed galaxies.

The hydrothermal synthesis of In_(2)o_(3)and Ceo_(2)–In_(2)o_(3)is investigated as well as the properties of sensor layers based on these *** the synthesis of In_(2)o_(3),intermediate products In(oH)_(3)and InooH are formed,which are the precursors of stable cubic(c-In_(2)o_(3))and metastable rhombohedral(rh-In_(2)o_(3))phases,respectively.A transition from c-In_(2)o_(3)to rh-In_(2)o_(3)is observed with the addition of Ceo_(2).The introduction of cerium into rh-In_(2)o_(3)results in a decrease in the sensor response to hydrogen,while it increases in composites based on c-In_(2)o_(3).The data on the sensor activity of the composites correlate with XPS results in which Ceo_(2)causes a decrease in the concentrations of chemisorbed oxygen and oxygen vacancies in rh-In_(2)o_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-In_(2)o_(3).Compared to In_(2)o_(3)and Ceo_(2)–In_(2)o_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum response to H_(2)at low temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short response time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and long-term stability.A model is proposed for the dependence of sensitivity on the direction of electron transfer between In_(2)o_(3)and Ceo_(2).

We hypothesized that slowed oxygen uptake(Vo_(2))kinetics for exercise transitions to higher power outputs(Po)within the steady state(SS)domain would increase the mean response time(MRT)with increasing exercise intensity during incremental *** highly trained cyclists(mean±standard deviation[SD]);age(39±6)years[yr];and Vo_(2) peak=(61±9)mL/kg/min performed a maximal,ramp incremental cycling test and on separate days,four 6-min bouts of cycling at 30%,45%,65%&75% of their incremental peak Po(Wpeak).SS trial data were used to calculate the MRT and verified by mono-exponential and linear curve *** the ramp protocol attained the value from SS,the Po,in Watts(W),was converted to time(min)based on the ramp function W to quantify the incremental MRT(iMRT).Slope analyses for the Vo_(2) responses of the SS versus incremental exercise data below the gas exchange threshold(GET)revealed a significant difference(p=0.003;[0.437±0.08]vs.[0.382±0.05]L·min^(-1)).There was a significant difference between the 45%Wpeak steady state Vo_(2)(ss Vo_(2))([3.08±0.30]L·min^(-1),respectively),and 30% Wpeak ss Vo_(2)(2.26±0.24)(por 45% and 30% Wpeak ss Vo_(2) values([50.58±36.85]s vs.[32.20±43.28]s).These data indicate there is no single iMRT,which is consistent with slowed Vo_(2) kinetics and an increasing Vo_(2) deficit for higher exercise intensities within the SS domain.

Knowledge graphs are employed in several tasks,such as question answering and recommendation systems,due to their ability to represent relationships between *** constructing such a graphs,however,remains an unresolved challenge within knowledge *** tackle this challenge,we propose CtxKG,a method specifically aimed at extracting knowledge graphs in a context of limited resources in which the only input is a set of unstructured text *** is based on openIE(a relationship triple extraction method)and BERT(a language model)and contains four stages:the extraction of relationship triples directly from text;the identification of synonyms across triples;the merging of similar entities;and the building of bridges between knowledge graphs of different *** method distinguishes itself from those in the current literature(i)through its use of the parse tree to avoid the overlapping entities produced by base implementations of openIE;and(ii)through its bridges,which create a connected network of graphs,overcoming a limitation similar methods have of one isolated graph per *** compare our method to two others by generating graphs for movie articles from Wikipedia and contrasting them with benchmark graphs built from the oMDb movie *** results suggest that our method is able to improve multiple aspects of knowledge graph *** also highlight the critical role that triple identification and named-entity recognition have in improving the quality of automatically generated graphs,suggesting future paths for ***,we apply CtxKG to build BlabKG,a knowledge graph for the Blue Amazon,and discuss possible improvements.

Climate Trends and Their Impact on Sorghum Production in Marigat, Baringo County: A Historical Analysis

Climate is subject to fluctuations in the majority of the world, mainly caused by rainfall as well as temperature variations. Climate fluctuations in Kenya have resulted in the spread of desert-like conditions in the ASALs region, such as Marigat in Baringo County. As a county, Baringo experiences great variations in climate annually, as well as uncertainty in expected rains, thereby negatively impacting the production of crops such as sorghum. This study applied the rainfall anomaly index (RAI), standardised precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI), standard precipitation index (SPI), and Mann-Kendall (MK) statistical test for trends on historical climatic data in analysing both temperature and precipitation data over the period 1990 to 2022 to determine their trend, patterns and how they affect the production of sorghum crops. The machine learning method (R studio) with inputs was used to calculate the SPI, SPEI, RAI and MK trend test. The rainfall varied from below average to above average during the study period with no clear pattern in the RAI, SPEI and SPI values. The years 2020 and 2000 stood out as they had higher and lower rainfall than usual, respectively. The Marigat area generally experienced more rainfall during the high/long rainfall season (AMJJ). The MK trend test on average monthly rainfall, SoND, AMJJ, and annual precipitation confirmed a positive trend in precipitation. However, the short rainy season (SoND) was found to be the most variable period for rainfall, and there was a slight increase in daily average temperatures during this season.

We present a method to fabricate handcrafted thermoelectric devices on standard office paper *** devices are based on thin films of WS_(2),Te,and BP(P-type semiconductors)and TiS_(3)and TiS_(2)(N-type semiconductors),deposited by simply rubbing powder of these materials against *** thermoelectric properties of these semiconducting films revealed maximum Seebeck coefficients of(+1.32±0.27)mV K^(-1)and(-0.82±0.15)mV K^(-1)for WS_(2)and TiS_(3),***,Peltier elements were fabricated by interconnecting the P-and N-type films with graphite electrodes.A thermopower value up to 6.11 mV K^(-1)was obtained when the Peltier element were constructed with three *** findings of this work show proof-of-concept devices to illustrate the potential application of semiconducting van der Waals materials in future thermoelectric power generation as well as temperature sensing for low-cost disposable electronic devices.

Cells,tissues,and organs are constantly subjected to the action of mechanical forces from the extracellular environment-and the nervous system is no ***-intrinsic properties such as membrane lipid composition,abundance of mechanosensors,and cytoskeletal dynamics make cells more or less likely to sense these *** and extrinsic cues are integrated by cells and this combined information determines the rate and dynamics of membrane protrusion growth or retraction(Yamada and Sixt,2019).Cell protrusions are extensions of the plasma membrane that play crucial roles in diverse contexts such as cell migration and neuronal synapse *** the nervous system,neurons are highly dynamic cells that can change the size and number of their pre-and postsynaptic elements(called synaptic boutons and dendritic spines,respectively),in response to changes in the levels of synaptic activity through a process called *** plasticity is a hallmark of the nervous system and is present throughout our lives,being required for functions like memory formation or the learning of new motor skills(Minegishi et al.,2023;Pillai and Franze,2024).

Given their numerous functional and architectural benefits,such as improved bearing capacity and increased resistance to elastic instability modes,cold-formed steel(CFS)built-up sections have become increasingly developed and used in recent years,particularly in the construction *** paper presents an analytical and numerical study of assembled CFS two single channel-shaped columns with different slenderness and configurations(backto-back,face-to-face,and box).These columns were joined by double-row rivets for the back-to-back and box configurations,whereas they were welded together for the face-to-face *** built-up columns were filled with ordinary concrete of good *** element models were applied,using ABAQUS software,to assess mechanical performance and study the influence of assembly techniques on the behavior of cold-formed columns under axial *** approaches based on Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4 recommendations for un-filled and concrete-filled columns respectively were followed for the numerical analysis,and concrete confinement effects were also considered per American Concrete Institute(ACI)standards for face-to-face and box *** obtained results indicated a good correlation between the numerical results and the proposed analytical methodology which did not exceed 8%.The failure modes showed that the columns failed due to instabilities such as local and global buckling.
