A novel photoenzyme-coupled artificial catalytic system is fabricated by immobilizing horseradish peroxidase(HRP)on the Bi_(2)WO_(6)hollow nanospheres via a facile electrostatic self-assembly process.The obtained Bi_(2)WO_(6)/HRP sample not only improves the visible light harvest ability but also promotes the high-efficiency separation of charge carriers.More importantly,the photogenerated electrons and produced H2O2 on Bi_(2)WO_(6)directly take part in redox cycle reactions of HRP to induce photoenzyme synergic catalytic effect.In consequence,the degradation activity of Bi_(2)WO_(6)/HRP is significantly improved relative to Bi_(2)WO_(6)and HRP for removing bisphenol A(BPA)under the visible light irradiation.This work launches a feasible design strategy for exploiting photoenzyme-coupled artificial catalytic system with special structure to degrade organic pollutants in water efficiently.

Given a non-equidistant sequence or an equidistant series with one or more outliers, a grey interpolation approach considering the time lags is established for producing the missing data or correcting the abnormal values. To accomplish this, a new grey incidence model, called the grey dynamic incidence model GDIM(t), is constructed for determining whether the factors are effective to the known factor and what the time lag is between a useful factor and the specified sequence. Based on the results of the GDIM(t) model, two programming problems are designed to obtain the upper and lower bounds of the unknown or abnormal values which are regarded as grey numbers. The solutions based on the particle swarm optimization(PSO) for the nonlinear programming problems are given. To explain how it can be used in practice, this new grey interpolation approach is applied to correct an abnormal value in the sequence of an agriculture environment problem.

It is imperative to derive an appropriate cadmium (Cd) health risk toxicity threshold for paddy soils to ensure the Cd con-centration of rice grains meet the food safety standard. In this study, 20 rice cultivars from the main rice producing areas in China were selected, and a pot-experiment was conducted to investigate transformation of Cd in paddy soil-rice system with 0 (CK), 0.3 mg kg–1 (T1) and 0.6 mg kg–1 (T2) Cd treatments in greenhouse. The results showed that Cd concentrations of rice grains existed signiifcant difference (P<0.05) in 20 rice cultivars under the same Cd level in soil. The Cd concentrations of rice grains of the CK, T1 and T2 treatments were in the range of 0.143–0.202, 0.128–0.458 and 0.332–0.806 mg kg–1, respectively. Marked differences of the ratios of Cd concentration for soil to rice grain (BCFs) and transfer factors (TFs, root to grain and straw to grain) among the tested cultivars were observed in this study. The bioconcentration factors (BCFgrain) and TFs of the 20 rice cultivars were 0.300–1.112 and 0.342–0.817, respectively. The TFs of Cd from straw to grain ranged from 0.366 to 1.71, with signiifcant differences among these 20 rice cultivars. The bioconcentration factors (BCFgrain) and TFs among the 20 rice cultivars ranged from 0.300–1.112 and 0.342–0.817, respectively. The species-sensitivity distribu-tion (SSD) of Cd sensitivity of the rice species could be iftted wel with Burr-III (R2=0.987) based on the data of BCFs. The toxicity threshold of Cd derived from SSD for the paddy soil was 0.507 mg kg–1 in the present study.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWNTs） were coated with nanometer sized SiC layer by magnetron sputtering, and their corrosion resistances in oxygen and gaseous silicon were studied, respectively. X-ray diffraction （XRD） reveals that the as-coated MWNTs are comprised of the amorphous SiC and the phase could transfer from amorphous to polycrystalline SiC by annealing at 1360 °C. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） observation indicates that SiC nanoparticles are uniformly coated on the MWNTs, forming a continuous SiC coating. Thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） confirms that the onset temperature of oxidation increases from 540 to 700 ~C with the SiC coating. The morphologies of non-coated and SiC-coated MWNTs after corrosion by oxygen and gaseous silicon were also characterized by SEM. The results revealed that SiC coating could protect MWNTs from the corrosion with qaseous silicon effectivelv.

Promoting hybrid twins structure to reduce yield asymmetry of rolled AZ31 plates by combining side-rolling and torsion

In this work,an as-rolled AZ31 square bar with c-axis//ND(normal direction)texture was used.Side-rolling and reciprocating torsion were performed to treat the bar.Microstructure evolution and tensile-compressive properties were investigated in detail.Initial rolled AZ31 bar exhibits a large yield asymmetry along the rolling direction(RD).Reciprocating torsion can generate extension twins to introduce twin boundaries and twin-texture.The twin structure can reduce yield asymmetry.However,only limited regions in the rolled AZ31 bar can be twinned during torsion.Pre-side-rolling along the transverse direction(TD)can generate two texture components(c-axis//TD texture and c-axis//ND texture)by introducing profuse{10–12}twins.Such dual texture components help increase the regions which are favorable for twinning during torsion.Finally,combining side-rolling and reciprocating torsion generates hybrid{10–12}twins structure on the entire cross-section,resulting in a remarkably low yield asymmetry.The relevant mechanisms were discussed in detail.

Background This study aimed to explore the associations of factors with in-hospital mortality in sepsis with MRSA infection based on the MIMIC-Ⅳdatabase.Methods All sepsis patients with MRSA infection were included.Multivariate regression analysis was applied to identify predictive factors.Models were applied to explore the relationship between the factors and in-hospital mortality after adjusting potential cofounders.Results A total of 157 patients were included including a survivor group(n=111)and a non-survivor group(n=46)were included.RDW was identified as an independent factor with in-hospital mortality.A smooth fitting curve for a positive linear relationship between RDW and in-hospital mortality was constructed.The area under the ROC curve(AUC)was 0.652 with a sensitivity of 0.565 and a specificity of 0.676.The optimal cut-off value of RDW was 16.55.Compared with SOFA and APACHEⅡscores,RDW had a better predictive performance.Conclusion RDW was associated with clinical outcomes in sepsis with MRSA infection.

We present here a pilot study to examine trophic level effects and migration patterns at the middle Shang Dynasty site of Xiaoshuangqiao in Henan Province using δD results combined with δ^13C and δ^15N values. A total of 33 specimens（17 humans, 7 cattle, 5 pigs, 3 sheep, 1 dog） of bone collagen were isotopically analyzed for δ^13C, δ^15N, and dD values. A strong positive correlation（R^2 = 0.94）between mean δ^15N and δD values of herbivores（cattle and sheep）, omnivores（pig）, carnivores（dog）and humans was observed. The δD results were found to increase by -10‰ to 20‰ from herbivores to omnivores to carnivorous, evidence that collagen δD results are a useful indicator for the study of trophic levels and dietary patterns at archaeological sites. The δD results were also used to examine the origins of two different groups of individuals buried at Xiaoshuangqiao. Individuals buried in sacrificial pits of district V had mean δD values（-47.0 ± 2.9‰, n = 11） that were significantly（p =0.049） elevated compared to the people buried in the stratigraphy of district IX（-51.3 ± 3.3‰, n = 3）,indicating that they were ingesting water from different locations. In addition, the D values of the people buried in the stratigraphy were similar to the pigs（-54.5 ± 4.2‰, n = 5） at Xiaoshuangqiao,suggesting that they were most probably of the local population, and that the individuals buried in the sacrificial pits were most possibly from the coast and prisoners of the Dongyi（“东夷”）people. Thus,δD results have the potential to examine human origins and migration patterns and should be increasingly used in conjunction with δ^13C and δ^15N values at archaeological sites.

This paper introduces an intelligent framework for predicting the advancing speed during earth pressure balance(EPB)shield tunnelling.Five artificial intelligence(AI)models based on machine and deep learning techniques-back-propagation neural network(BPNN),extreme learning machine(ELM),support vector machine(SVM),long-short term memory(LSTM),and gated recurrent unit(GRU)-are used.Five geological and nine operational parameters that influence the advancing speed are considered.A field case of shield tunnelling in Shenzhen City,China is analyzed using the developed models.A total of 1000 field datasets are adopted to establish intelligent models.The prediction performance of the five models is ranked as GRU>LSTM>SVM>ELM>BPNN.Moreover,the Pearson correlation coefficient(PCC)is adopted for sensitivity analysis.The results reveal that the main thrust(MT),penetration(P),foam volume(FV),and grouting volume(GV)have strong correlations with advancing speed(AS).An empirical formula is constructed based on the high-correlation influential factors and their corresponding field datasets.Finally,the prediction performances of the intelligent models and the empirical method are compared.The results reveal that all the intelligent models perform better than the empirical method.

Effective Iterated Greedy Algorithm for Flow-Shop Scheduling Problems with Time lags

Flow shop scheduling problem with time lags is a practical scheduling problem and attracts many studies. Permutation problem（PFSP with time lags） is concentrated but non-permutation problem（non-PFSP with time lags） seems to be neglected. With the aim to minimize the makespan and satisfy time lag constraints, efficient algo- rithms corresponding to PFSP and non-PFSP problems are proposed, which consist of iterated greedy algorithm for permutation（IGTLP） and iterated greedy algorithm for non-permutation （IGTLNP）. The proposed algorithms are verified using well-known simple and complex instances of permutation and non-permutation problems with various time lag ranges. The permutation results indicate that the proposed IGTLP can reach near optimal solution within nearly 11% computational time of traditional GA approach. The non-permutation results indicate that the proposed IG can reach nearly same solution within less than 1% com- putational time compared with traditional GA approach. The proposed research combines PFSP and non-PFSP together with minimal and maximal time lag consideration, which provides an interesting viewpoint for industrial implementation.
