Capturing elaborated flow structures and phenomena is required for well-solved numerical *** finite difference methods allow simple discretization of mesh and model ***,they need simpler meshes,e.g.,*** inverse Lax-Wendroff(ILW)procedure can handle complex geometries for rectangular ***-resolution and high-order methods can capture elaborated flow structures and *** also have strong mathematical and physical backgrounds,such as positivity-preserving,jump conditions,and wave propagation *** perceive an effort toward direct numerical simulation,for instance,regarding weighted essentially non-oscillatory(WENO)***,we propose to solve a challenging engineering application without turbulence *** aim to verify and validate recent high-resolution and high-order *** check the solver accuracy,we solved vortex and Couette ***,we solved inviscid and viscous nozzle flows for a conical *** employed the finite difference method,positivity-preserving Lax-Friedrichs splitting,high-resolution viscous terms discretization,fifth-order multi-resolution WENO,ILW,and third-order strong stability preserving *** showed the solver is high-order and captured elaborated flow structures and *** can see oblique shocks in both nozzle *** the viscous flow,we also captured a free-shock separation,recirculation,entrainment region,Mach disk,and the diamond-shaped pattern of nozzle flows.

Background:Hemodialysis(HD) per se is a risk factor for *** the growing body of evidence on blood-flow restriction(BFR) exercise in HD patients,identification of possible risk factors related to the prothrombotic agent D-dimer is required for the safety and feasibility of this training *** aim of the present study was to identify risk factors associated with higher D-dimer levels and to determine the acute effect of resistance exercise(RE) with BFR on this ***:Two hundred and six HD patients volunteered for this study(all with a glomerular filtration rate of pressure during 50 min sessions of HD(intradialytic exercise).RE repetitions included concentric and eccentric lifting phases(each lasting 2 s) and were supervised by a strength and conditioning ***:Several variables were associated with elevated levels of D-dimer,including higher blood glucose,citrate use,recent cardiovascular events,recent intercurrents,higher inflammatory status,catheter as vascular access,older patients(>70 years old),and HD ***,RE+BFR significantly increases D-dimer after 4 *** with borderline baseline D-dimer levels(400-490 ng/mL) displayed increased risk of elevating D-dimer over the normal range(≥500 ng/mL).Conclusion:These results identified factors associated with a heightened prothrombotic state and may assist in the screening process for HD patients who wish to undergo RE+BFR.D-dimer and/or other fibrinolysis factors should be assessed at baseline and throughout the protocol as a precautionary measure to maximize safety during RE+BFR.

Dear editor:We sincerely thank Matthew *** for his insightful commentary1 on our recent publication in the Journal of Sport and Health Science.2 Clarkson's pioneering work in the development and application of blood flow restriction (BFR) exercise protocols has undeniably laid the groundwork for subsequent investigations in this field,including our own.(3-6)His commentary not only highlights the relevance and timeliness of our study but also offers valuable perspectives on refining safety considerations for intradialytic BFR exercise among hemodialysis patients.

Background Cystatin C(Cys-C)is an emerging biomarker of renal diseases and its clinical use,particularly for screening the communities affected by chronic kidney disease of unknown etiology(CKDu),is hindered due to the lack of reference intervals(RIs)for diverse ethnic and age *** present study aimed to define RIs for urinary Cys-C(uCys-C)for a healthy pediatric population in Sri Lanka and in turn compare the renal function of the residential children in CKDu endemic and non-endemic regions in Sri *** A cross-sectional study was conducted with 850 healthy children(10-17 years)from selected locations for reference interval establishment,while a total of 892 children were recruited for the comparative *** samples were collected and analyzed for Cys-C,creatinine(Cr)and ***-adjusted uCys-C levels were partitioned by age,and RIs were determined with quantile regression(2.5th,50th and 97.5th quantiles)at 90%confidence *** The range of median RIs for uCys-C in healthy children was 45.94-64.44 ng/mg Cr for boys and 53.58-69.97 ng/mg Cr for *** median(interquartile range)uCys-C levels of children in the CKDu endemic and non-endemic regions were 58.18(21.8-141.9)and 58.31(23.9-155.3)ng/mg Cr with no significant difference(p=0.781).A significant variation of uCys-C was noted in the children across *** Notably high uCys-C levels were observed in children with elevated ***,uCys-C could be a potential biomarker in identifying communities at high risk of CKDu susceptibility.

We report the discovery of KMT-2020-BLG-0414 Lb,with a planet-to-host mass ratio q2=0.9-1.2×10-5=3-4 q⊕at 1σ,which is the lowest mass-ratio microlensing planet to *** with two other recent discoveries(4?q/q⊕?6),it fills out the previous empty sector at the bottom of the triangular(log s,log q)diagram,where s is the planet-host separation in units of the angular Einstein radiusθ***,these discoveries call into question the existence,or at least the strength,of the break in the mass-ratio function that was previously suggested to account for the paucity of very low-q *** to the extreme magnification of the event,Amax~1450 for the underlying single-lens event,its light curve revealed a second companion with q3~0.05 and|log s3|~1,i.e.,a factor~10 closer to or farther from the host in *** measurements of the microlens parallaxπE and the angular Einstein radiusθE allow estimates of the host,planet and second companion masses,(M1,M2,M3)~(0.3 M⊙,1.0 M⊕,17 MJ),the planet and second companion projected separations,(a⊥,2,a⊥,3)~(1.5,0.15 or 15)au,and system distance DL~1 *** lens could account for most or all of the blended light(I~19.3)and so can be studied immediately with high-resolution photometric and spectroscopic observations that can further clarify the nature of the *** planet was found as part of a new program of high-cadence follow-up observations of high-magnification *** detection of this planet,despite the considerable difficulties imposed by COVID-19(two KMT sites and OGLE were shut down),illustrates the potential utility of this program.
