Locally weighted learning based hybrid intelligence models for groundwater potential mapping and modeling: A case study at Gia Lai province, Vietnam

The groundwater potential map is an important tool for a sustainable water management and land use planning,particularly for agricultural countries like *** this article,we proposed new machine learning ensemble techniques namely AdaBoost ensemble(ABLWL),Bagging ensemble(BLWL),Multi Boost ensemble(MBLWL),Rotation Forest ensemble(RFLWL)with Locally Weighted Learning(LWL)algorithm as a base classifier to build the groundwater potential map of Gia Lai province in *** this study,eleven conditioning factors(aspect,altitude,curvature,slope,Stream Transport Index(STI),Topographic Wetness Index(TWI),soil,geology,river density,rainfall,land-use)and 134 wells yield data was used to create training(70%)and testing(30%)datasets for the development and validation of the *** statistical indices were used namely Positive Predictive Value(PPV),Negative Predictive Value(NPV),Sensitivity(SST),Specificity(SPF),Accuracy(ACC),Kappa,and Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)curve to validate and compare performance of *** show that performance of all the models is good to very good(AUC:0.75 to 0.829)but the ABLWL model with AUC=0.89 is the *** the models applied in this study can support decision-makers to streamline the management of the groundwater and to develop economy not only of specific territories but also in other regions across the world with minor changes of the input parameters.

The New Chinese Immigrations in Laos Present-day

Laos was once unique in Southeast Asia for its remarkably small overseas Chinese communities. Most of them fled this country when the communist forces seized power in 1975. Since Laos opened its economy in 1986, the Chinese in Laos have been able to develop in many areas. Especially, the visit of Premier LI Peng to Vientiane in 1990 marked a turning point in China-Laos relations. Unlike Cambodia, the reawakening of a Chinese community in Laos did not come from the Huaqiao, this arose from a new cycle of immigrants, who started pouring into northern Laos in the late 1990s at an unprecedented scale. Compared with other Southeast Asian nations, the Chinese in Laos are less in number and weaker in economic power. In this study, we focus on （1） Analysis the ways of the new Chinese immigrants in Laos; （2） Assess the role of new Chinese immigrants in the process of China increasing their influence in Laos and how Laos response to this issue; and （3） The trend of new Chinese immigrants in Laos in the near future. Firstly, the rapid of Chinese investment to Laos in the last two decades is the most important factor driving the Chinese migrants into this country. The first new Chinese immigrants arrived in the mid-1990s as workers or technicians on road construction projects and as part of the industrial cooperation between Yunnan and the northern provinces of Laos. Since the 2000s, China has been pouring aid and investment into Laos. Chinese companies are involved in almost all areas of this country＇s economy, from hydropower to mining, agriculture, service, and hospitality. The increasing of Chinese exports, investment, aids and Chinese contracted project constructions in Laos led to mass Chinese immigrants going to Laos to work in all the economic sectors which the Chinese are involved in this country. Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Solanum procumbens on complete Freund’s adjuvantinduced arthritis rat ***:We isolated and identified five compounds in the ethanolsoluble Solanum procumbens extract(SP)with anti-inflammatory effects,including ursolic acid,β-sitosterol,hexadecanoic acid,cisvaccenic acid,and vanillic ***,we investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of SP on rheumatoid arthritis symptoms,including paw volumes,local temperatures,withdrawal latency,and mechanical withdrawal threshold at the hind paw and white blood cell(WBC)number from complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced arthritis rat ***:We have successfully established a complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced arthritis rat model at a low dose(1 mg/mL).SP extract significantly reduced paw volumes(P<0.05),prolonged withdrawal latencies(P<0.05),decreased local temperature,and increased the mechanical withdrawal threshold(P<0.05),but only SP extract at the dose of 300 mg/kg significantly decreased WBC ***:SP extract could be a potential medication candidate with anti-inflammatory effects for arthritis,but it requires further investigation into the mechanism of the SP and its effectiveness on other models as well as clinical trials.

Protective effect of Tetracera scandens *** extract against CCl_4-induced acute liver injury in rats

Objective:To investigate the protective potential of ethanolic extracts of Tetracera scandens L.(***) against CCl_4 induced oxidative stress in liver ***:Dried leaf powder of *** was extracted with ethanol and concentrated to yield a dry *** were administered with 100 mg/kg of ethanolic extracts orally once daily for one *** were subsequently administered with a single dose of CCl_4(I mL/kg body weight,intraperitoneal injection).Various assays,such as serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,lipid peroxidation,protein oxidation(carbonyl protein group),tumor necrosis factor alpha,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione peroxidase,were used to assess damage caused by CCl_4 and the protective effects of the ethanol extract on liver ***:Hepatotoxicity induced by CCl_4 was evidenced by a significant increase in serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase level,lipid peroxidation,protein carbonyl group,and tumor necrosis factor alpha,as well as decreased activity of the hepatic antioxidant enzymes(*** *** glutathione peroxidase).Treatment with ethanolic *** extracts prevented all of these typically observed changes in CCl_4-treated ***:Our findings indicate that *** has a significant protective effect against CCl_4 induced hepatotoxicity in *** may be due to its antioxidant properties.

Objective:To evaluate the antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo of saponin–phospholipid complex of Panax ***:The in vitro cytotoxic effect of saponins extract and saponin–phospholipid complex against human lung cancer NCI-H460 and breast cancer cell lines BT474 was examined using MTS *** in vivo evaluation of antitumor potential,saponin and saponin–phospholipid complex were administered orally in rats induced mammary carcinogenesis by 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene,for 30 ***:Our data showed that saponin–phospholipid complex had stronger anticancer effect compared to saponin *** IC50 values of saponin–phospholipid complex and saponin extract for NCI-H460 cell lines were 28.47 mg/m L and 47.97 mg/mL,respectively and these values for BT474 cells were 53.18 mg/mL and 86.24 mg/mL,*** vivo experiments,administration of saponin,saponin–phospholipid complex and paclitaxel(positive control) effectively suppressed 7,12-dimethylbenz(a) anthracene-induced breast cancer evidenced by a decrease in tumor volume,the reduction of lipid peroxidation level and increase in the body weight,and elevated the enzymatic antioxidant activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase in rat breast ***:Our study suggests that saponin extract from Panax notoginseng and saponin–phospholipid complex have potential to prevent cancer,especially breast cancer.

Ethanol extracts of Scutellaria baicalensis protect against lipopolysaccharide-induced acute liver injury in mice

Objective: To investigated the protective potential of ethanol extracts of Scutellaria baicalensis(S. baicalensis) against lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced liver injury. Methods: Dried roots of S. baicalensis were extracted with ethanol and concentrated to yield a dry residue. Mice were administered 200 mg/kg of the ethanol extracts orally once daily for one week. Animals were subsequently administered a single dose of LPS(5 mg/kg of body weight, intraperitoneal injection). Both protein and m RNA levels of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1β, and interleukin-6 in liver tissues were evaluated by ELISA assay and quantitative PCR. C yclooxygenase-2, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and nuclear factor-κB protein levels in liver tissues were analyzed by western blotting. Results: Liver injury induced by LPS signifi cantly increased necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, cyclooxygenase-2, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and nuclear factor-κB in liver tissues. Treatment with ethanol extracts of S. baicalensis prevented all of these observed changes associated with LPS-induced injury in liver ***: Our study showed that S. baicalensis is potentially protective against LPS-induced liver injury in mice.

Formability improvement and blank shape definition for deep drawing of cylindrical cup with complex curve profile from SPCC sheets using FEM

In the current work, to predict and improve the formability of deep drawing process for steel plate cold rolled commercial grade （SPCC） sheets, three parameters including the blanking force, the die and punch comer radius were considered. The experimental plan according to Taguchi＇s orthogonal array was coupled with the finite element method （FEM） simulations. Firstly, the data from the test of stress-strain and forming limit curves were used as input into ABAQUS/Explicit finite element code to predict the failure occurrence of deep drawing process. The three parameters were then validated to establish their effects on the press formability. The optimum case found via simulation was finally confirmed through an experiment. In order to obtain the complex curve profile of cup shape after deep drawing, the anisotropic behavior of earring phenomenon was modeled and implemented into FEM. After such phenomenon was correctly predicted, an error metric compared with design curve was then measured.

近年来越南经济发展速度平稳,对外开放程度逐渐加大,尤其是在基础设施建设领域吸引外资逐渐增多,越南承包工程市场逐渐也实行总承包管理模式。现阶段,中国企业在越南承包工程项目模式已经取得了一定的成果,但在具体实施过程中仍存在一系列问题,导致企业面临诸多风险。本文基于BOT项目基本理论和风险管理理论,通过探讨中国企业对越南基础设施项目投资的现状、越南承包项目工程市场发展模式以及BOT项目模式在越南承包工程市场的应用,以越南永新煤炭电厂BOT项目为案例,分析中国企业对越南投资BOT项目存在的风险管理问题,并提出了针对性的风险应对措施与建议。论文共分为四章：第一章是绪论部分,主要梳理了BOT项目模式风险管理以及中国企业对越南投资项目模式的相关研究综述,阐述了论文的写作背景与研究意义,另外还分析了中国企业对越南承包工程投资现状以及越南承包工程投资项目模式;第二章主要是对案例项目进行介绍以及对各个阶段BOT电厂项目的风险进行识别;第三章以BOT项目模式和风险管理理论为基础,对越南BOT电厂项目在不同阶段的风险及影响进行评估;第四章针对越南BOT电厂项目的上述风险问题,从风险规避和风险转移两个角度给出了相应的风险应对措施的建议,最后对整篇论文进行了概括与总结。
