Aquatic contamination of diclofenac(DCF),an emergent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAiDs),can result.in adverse effects to many ecosystems through ***,introducing effective remediation techniques to sequester the pharmaceutical wastes is highly fundamental to prevent their accumulation in the ***,adsorption has been presented as a green and efficient ***,we report the characterization and application of the novel magnetic nanocomposite(GO@CoFe2O4)derived from cobalt-based ferrite(CoFe2O4)and graphene oxide(GO)for DCF *** the optimization procedure,the response surface methodology(RSM)was adopted to investigate the impacts of DCF concentration(1.6-18.4 mg/L),DCF dosage(0.08-0.92 g/L),and solution pH(2.6-9.4)to find the optimum conditions for DCF removal,at 10.5 mg/L,0.74 g/L,and pH 4,*** the adsorption experiments,the kinetic,isotherm,thermodynamic,and intraparticle diffusion models were systematically ***,we have elucidated the role of functional groups on the surface of GO@CoFe2O4 in enhancing the adsorption of DCF *** good removal efficiency(up to 86.1%),high maximum adsorption capacity(32.4 mg/g),GO@CoFe2O4 can be a potential candidate to eliminate DCF drug from water.

Effect of Combinations of Sucrose and Cryoprotectants on the Survival of Cat.ish Embryos （Pangasidae hypophthamus）

Although cryopreservation of embryos has been used in most terrest.ial animals, the application of t.is technique has not been succeeded for aquatic animals. in t.is study, the authors investigate the effect of different combinations of sucrose （SUC, C12H22OH） and cryoprotectants （CPAs） on the survival of the cat.ish embryos （Pangasidae hypophthalmus） at low temperatures （4, 0 and -20 ℃） for short-term storage. For t.is aim, embryos with somites and optic cups were exposed to different combinations of sucrose with methanol （SUC ＋ MeOH）, 1.2-propylene glycol （SUC ＋ PROH） and ethylene glycol （SUC ＋ EG） at four concentrations ratios：（1） 0.5 M SUC ＋ 0.5 M CPA; （2） 1 M SUC ＋ 0.5 M CPA; （3） 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 M CPA; （4） 1 M SUC ＋ 1 M CPA for 40 min at 4, 0 and -20 ℃. Embryos kept.in water at room temperature （Rt）, 4, 0 and -20℃ were used as controls. the survival rate was expressed as a percentage of hatched embryos per total embryos treated. the results showed that the hatching rate declined significantly when embryos were stored in water at 0 ℃ and -20℃. For embryos at 0 ℃ storage, the highest survival rate （87.78%） was obt.ined with 1 M SUC ＋ 1 M MeOH combination while at -20 ℃, only embryos in the combined treatments of 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 MEG and 0.5 M SUC ＋ 1 M PROH reached the hatching stage （40% and 83.33%, respectively）. in conclusion, the results showed that the cat.ish embryos are sensitive to sub-zero temperatures and the combined treatment of 0.5 M sucrose and 1 M propylene glycol can be used to protect cat.ish embryos from damages caused by low temperature （0 ℃ and -20 ℃）.

Biotic and abiotic factors control aboveground biomass(AGB)and the structure of forest *** study analyses the variation of AGB and stand structure of evergreen broadleaved forests among six ecoregions of Vietnam.A data set of 1731-ha plots from 52 locations in undisturbed old-growth forests was *** results indicate that basal area and AGB are closely correlated with annual precipitation,but not with annual temperature,evaporation or hours of *** area and AGB are positively correlated with trees>30 cm *** areas surveyed(52.6%)in these old-growth forests had AGB of 100–200 Mg ha^-1;5.2%had AGB of 400–500 Mg ha^-1,and 0.6%had AGB of>800 Mg ha^-*** percent of the areas surveyed had stand densities of 300–600 ***^-1,and 64%had basal areas of 20–40 m^2 ha^-*** is an important factor influencing the AGB of old-growth,evergreen broadleaved forests in *** causing the loss of large-diameter trees(e.g.,>100 cm DBH)affects AGB but may not seriously affect stand density.

Greater understanding of the biology and epidemiology of prostate cancer in the last several decades have led to significant advances in its management. Prostate cancer is now detected in greater numbers at lower stages of disease and is amenable to multiple forms of efficacious treatment. However, there is a lack of conclusive data demonstrating a definitive mortality benefit from t.is earlier diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. it.is likely due to the treatment of a large proportion of indolent cancers that would have had little adverse impact on health or lifespan if left alone. Due to t.is overtreatment phenomenon, active surveillance with delayed intervention is gaining traction as a viable management approach in contemporary practice. the ability to distinguish clinically insignificant cancers from those with a high risk of progression and/or lethality is critical to the appropriate selection of patients for surveillance protocols versus immediate intervention. t.is chapter will review the ability of various prediction models, including risk groupings and nomograms, to predict.indolent disease and determine their role in the contemporary management of clinically localized prostate cancer.

Optimizing hepatitis C virus treatment through pharmacist.interventions: identification and management of drug-drug interactions

to quantify drug-drug-interactions (DDis) encountered in patients prescribed hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment, the interventions made, and the time spent.in t.is *** standard of care, a clinical pharmacist screened for DDis in patients prescribed direct acting antiviral (DAA) HCV treatment between November 2013 and July 2015 at the University of Colorado Hepatology Clinic. HCV regimens prescribed included ledipasvir/sofosbuvir (LDV/SOF), paritaprevir/ritonavir/ombitasvir/dasabuvir (OBV/PtV/r + DSV), simeprevir/sofosbuvir (SiM/SOF), and sofosbuvir/ribavirin (SOF/RBV). t.is retrospective analysis reviewed the work completed by the clinical pharmacist.in order to measure the aims identified for the study. the number and type of DDis identified were summarized with descriptive *** hundred and sixty four patients (83.4% Caucasian, 57% male, average 56.7 years old) were identified; 369 for LDV/SOF, 48 for OBV/PtV/r + DSV, 114 for SiM/SOF, and 133 for SOF/RBV. Fifty-one point five per cent of patients were cirrhotic. Overall, 5217 medications were reviewed (7.86 medications per patient) and 781 interactions identified (1.18 interactions per patient). the number of interactions were fewest for SOF/RBV (0.17 interactions per patient) and highest for OBV/PtV/r + DSV (2.48 interactions per patient). LDV/SOF and SiM/SOF had similar number of interactions (1.28 and 1.48 interactions per patient, respectively). Gast.ic acid modifiers and vitamin/herbal supplements commonly caused interactions with LDV/SOF. Hypertensive agents, analgesics, and psychiat.ic medications frequently caused interactions with OBV/PtV/r + DSV and SiM/SOF. to manage these interactions, the pharmacists most often recommended discontinuing the medication (28.9%), increasing monitoring for toxicities (24.1%), or separating administration times (18.2%). the pharmacist chart review for each patient usually took approximately 30 min, with additional time for more complex patients

圆锥角膜穿透性角膜移植术后缝线相关的角膜规则程度的动态变化

目的分析圆锥角膜（KC）手术前后角膜规则程度的变化，以及角膜缝线拆除对角膜规则程度的影响，对激光穿透性角膜移植手术（PK）在KC治疗中的作用进行评价。方法回顾分析了236例圆锥角膜使用激光环钻技术进行的穿透性角膜移植手术手术，使用角膜曲率计（Ophthalmometer，type-H，190071Zeiss，Jena，Germany）对手术前后的角膜规则程度进行检测，并结合所测出的角膜曲率（K）值和角膜映光图像分成4组：（0）规则组，K〈50D；（1）轻度不规则组，K〈60；（2）中度不规则组，K≥60；（3）重度不规则组，K值不能读出，共4组。手术后第12、18个月依次拆除连续缝线，并同时随访记录各组别角膜规则程度，动态分析以上三个时间点角膜规则程度的变化特点。结果在三个时间点，规则组比例的递增趋势为4％-37％-61％轻度不规则组的变化趋势为12％-51％-33‰中度不规则组的递减趋势为38％-10％-4％；重度不规则组的变化趋势为46％-2％-2％。结论使用激光环钻和16针双线连续缝合的圆锥角膜手术病例中，穿透性角膜移植手术能有效改善病人的角膜表面规则程度，与缝线拆除相关的角膜规则程度呈动态变化，该变化主要发生在轻、中度组，缝线拆除本身并不会导致术后角膜规则程度下降。

One of the thorny problems currently impeding the applications of the fluorescence imaging technique is the poor spatial resolution in deep ***-switchable fluorescence(USF)imaging is a novel imaging tool that has recently been explored to possibly surmount the above-mentioned ***,αβ-cyclodext.in/indocyanine green(iCG)complex-encapsulated poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNiPAM)nanogel was synthesized and studied for ex vivo/in vivo deep tissue/high-resolution near infrared USF(NiR-USF)*** be specific,our results revealed that the average diameter of the as-prepared nanogels was significantly decreased to-32 nm from-335 nm compared to the reported iCG-PNiPAM ***,the excitation/emission characteristics of the iCG itself in present nanogels were almost completely ret.ined,and the resultant nanogel exhibited high physiological stability and positive *** particular,the signal-to-noise ratio of the USF image for the PNiPAM/P-cyclodext.in/iCG nanogel(33.01±2.42 dB)was prominently higher than that of the iCG-PNiPAM nanoparticles(18.73±0.33 dB)in 1.5-cm-t.ick chicken breast *** NiR-USF imaging in 3.5-cm-t.ick chicken breast tissues was achieved using t.is new *** e x v iv o NiR-USF imaging of the mouse liver was also successfully *** experiments showed that the present nanogels were able to be effectively accumulated into U87 tumor-bearing mice via enhanced permeability and retention effects,and the high-resolution NiR-USF imaging of in v ivo tumor was efficiently *** metabolism and in vivo biodist.ibution of the nanogels were ***,the results suggest that the current nanogel is a highly promising NiR-USF probe for deep tissue and high-resolution USF imaging.
