The main purpose of this paper is to present numerical results of static bending and free vibration of functionally graded porous(FGP) variable-thickness plates by using an edge-based smoothed finite element method(ES-FEM) associate with the mixed interpolation of tensorial components technique for the three-node triangular element(MITC3), so-called ES-MITC3. This ES-MITC3 element is performed to eliminate the shear locking problem and to enhance the accuracy of the existing MITC3 element. In the ES-MITC3 element, the stiffness matrices are obtained by using the strain smoothing technique over the smoothing domains formed by two adjacent MITC3 triangular elements sharing an edge. Materials of the plate are FGP with a power-law index(k) and maximum porosity distributions(U) in the forms of cosine functions. The influences of some geometric parameters, material properties on static bending, and natural frequency of the FGP variable-thickness plates are examined in detail.

Traditional vietnamese Medicine has its own development based on the local endemic herbs,but it also inherits from Traditional Chinese Medicine using Chinese herbal *** the history of cultural exchange between two countries,the adoption of Chinese Danggui,Angelica sinensis(Oliv.)Diels.,has been made by vietnamese traditional medicine practitioners for a long ***,the acclimatization has never been *** Danggui,or Angelica acutiloba Kitagawa,is recently being acclimatized and cultivated in several vietnamese *** the huge climate change between the two countries,the herb adapted exquisitely well to the humid tropical ***,so far,there are no studies that have evaluated the effect of acclimatization on the overall quality of this medicinal *** aim of our study is screening secondary metabolites of this acclimatized herb for new natural compound(s),if *** analysis of flavonoid fraction from this herb led to the identification of two known compounds which previously have not been isolated from this species *** detection showed that the herb has reacted to the new environment.

In this article,vibration characteristics of sandwich plates with an auxetic honeycomb core and laminated three-phase skin layers subjected to blast load are ***-order ES-MITC3 element based on higher-order shear deformation theory(HSDT)to achieve the governing *** sandwich plates with the ultra-light feature of the auxetic honeycomb core layer(negative Poisson’s ratio)and reinforced by two laminated three-phase skin *** obtained results in our work are compared with other previously published to confirm accuracy and *** addition,the effects of parameters such as geometrical and material parameters on the vibration characteristics of sandwich plates with an auxetic honeycomb core and laminated three-phase skin layers are fully investigated.

The safety of nanomaterials, a crucial consideration for clinical translation, is enhanced by using building blocks that are biologically nontoxic. Here, we used poly(γ-glutamic acid)(γ-PGA) and dopamine as building blocks of polymeric nanomaterials for carrying hydrophobic anticancer drugs. The introduction of phenylalanine onto γ-PGA enabled the resulting amphiphilic derivative of γ-PGA acid to self-assemble in the presence of the anticancer drug paclitaxel(PTX) to form PTX-encapsulated *** surfaces of PTX-loaded micelles were then coated with polymerized dopamine(PDA). The PDAcoated, amphiphilic γ-PGA-based micelles(AM) carrying PTX(PDA/AM/P) exerted near-infraredresponsive photothermal effects. Near-infrared irradiation of cancer cells treated with PDA/AM/P nanoparticles produced a greater anticancer effect than that observed in other treatment groups, indicating a synergistic effect. Intravenous administration of PDA/AM/P completely ablated tumors and prevented their recurrence. Notably, the in vivo safety profile of PDA/AM/P nanoparticles allowed PTX to be delivered at a 3.6-fold higher dose than was possible with PTX solubilized in surfactant, and circumvented the side effects of the surfactant. These results support the multifunctional potential of PDA/AM for the delivery of various hydrophobic drugs and imaging dyes for safe translation of nanomaterials into the clinic.

We develop an efficiently improved knowledge-based neural network(KBNN)associated with optimization algorithms and finite element analysis(FEA)to accurately predict spring-back angles in metal sheet *** well-known V and U prevalent processes of bending are *** KBNN predictive results are based on the empirical model and artificial neural network(ANN)*** empirical model is constructed from the FEA results using response surface method,while the multilayer perceptron is employed to create the *** trained KBNN can accurately model the relation-ship between the spring-back angles and process *** obtained results are validated against other existing methods showing a high accuracy.

Giao Thuy and Hai Hau coasts are located in Nam Dinh province, vietnam, with a total coastline of 54.42 km in length. The sea-dike system has been seriously damaged and there have been many dike breaches which caused floods and losses. This situation is considered of a general representative for coastal area in the northern part of vietnam. A variety of studies have shown that the gradient in the longshore sediment transport rate and the offshore fine sediment lost are the main mechanisms causing the beach erosion. This study presents a field investigation of the beach profiles at Giao Thuy and Hai Hau beaches. Three types of empirical functions for the equilibrium beach profile are applied and compared with the observations. Results show that all observed beach profiles can be described by a single function. However, one specific equilibrium profile equation is not sufficient to assess all beach profiles. In Section 1 of Giao Thuy and Section 3 of Hai Thinh beaches, beach profiles are consistent with the logarithmic function, while the exponential function fits well in Section 2. This difference is explained with respect to coastal morphology, sediment characteristics and hydrodynamic conditions which vary in site. An analysis of the validity of the beach profile functions is recommended for the numerical modeling and engineering designs in this area.

Conjugation of antibodies to nanoparticles allows specific cancer targeting,but conventional conjugation methods generate heterogeneous conjugations that cannot guarantee the optimal orientation and functionality of the conjugated ***,a molecular engineering technique was used for sitespecific conjugation of antibodies to *** designed an anti-claudin 3(CLDN3)antibody containing a single cysteine residue,h4 G3 cys,then linked it to the maleimide group of lipid polydopamine hybrid nanoparticles(LPNs).Because of their negatively charged lipid coating,LPNs showed high colloidal stability and provided a functional surface for site-specific conjugation of h4 G3 *** activity of h4 G3 cys was tested by measuring the binding of h4 G3 cys-conjugated LPNs(C-LPNs)to CLDN3-positive tumor cells and assessing its subsequent photothermal effects.C-LPNsspecifically recognized CLDN3-overexpressing T47 D breast cancer cells but not CLDN3-negative Hs578 T breast cancer *** binding of C-LPNs to CLDN3-overexpressing T47 D cells resulted in significantly higher temperature generation upon NIR irradiation and potent anticancer photothermal *** with this,intravenous injection of C-LPNsin a T47 D xenograft mouse model followed by NIR irradiation caused remarkable tumor ablation compared with other treatments through high temperature *** results establish an accurate antibody-linking method and demonstrate the possibility of developing therapeutics using antibody-guided nanoparticles.

In this study,we investigated warpage and corner lifting minimization for three-dimensional printed parts generated by macro-size fused deposition modeling(FDM).First,the reasons for warpage were theoretically *** approach revealed that the thermal deformation and differential volumetric shrinkage of the extruded molten plastic resulted in warpage of FDM *** addition,low adhesion between the deposited model and the heated or non-heated printing bed may intensify warpage *** a next step,initial small-size and medium-size models were used to identify parameters to manage and minimize warpage in a way that would reduce material consumption and running ***,a macro-size model was built to experimentally investigate and verify the technical solutions to minimize the warpage of FDM *** conclusion,an improved part with reduced warpage was efficiently produced after detailed consideration of thermal effects and adhesion *** exists to widen the application scope of FDM technology in manufacturing for processes like thermoforming that involve mold core fabrication with *** technology,which has applications not only in mechanical engineering but also in related engineering fields,is convenient and could readily be applied to practical manufacturing industries.

Atherosclerotic process has a predilection for .bifurcation due to the complex hemodynamics and resultant altered shear stress that contributes to the localization and progression of atheromatous plaques. Coronary intervention, especially the placement of stents further alters the hemodynamics and shear forces. These factors may account for the increased incidences of in-stent restenosis, stent thrombosis, side-branch （SB） restenosis, etc, that continue to plague bifurcation intervention.
