Opportunistic bacteremia in adult HIV-infected patients is a normal co-infectious condition caused by Gram-negative bacilli. Respiratory infections, including cough, shortness of breath, and chest pain and skin infection with eruptions, pustules and itchiness, are common complaints in the setting of late HIV infection. The variety of infections ranges from mild, self-limited viral, bacteremia and fungal infections to severe, life-threatening demanding urgent care and hospitalization. Varicella pneumonia, for instance, is the most severe complication of chickenpox in HIV infected adults, potentially refractory, fulminant respiratory failure can ensue. Patients with impaired immune status and chronic lung disease are at an increased risk. In the United States as well as in Vietnam, bacterial/viral pneumonia and skin infection are the two most common HIV-associated conditions. While globally the incidence of opportunistic infection has decreased since the introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy during the last 3 decades, HIV-associated diseases remain a significant source of mortality, thus any manifestation must be taken seriously. This study will present the most common HIV-related pulmonary and skin infections and provide an overview of the epidemiology, characteristic clinical and chest radiograph findings, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention globally as well in Vietnam. Though the extensive efforts of the Vietnamese Government during last decade contributed to a valuable decrease, yet epidemic in Vietnam still remains high, ranking Vietnam 5th in the South-East region. The second part of the study focuses on a unique and severe HIV case report of a 35-year-old man, with a rare form of pneumonia caused by Acitenobacter spp. concomitant with a prolonged and disseminating skin infection. 目的分析對於I型呼吸衰竭患者採用經鼻高流量氧療(HFNC)氧療對比無創通氣(NIV)治療的應用價值。方法選取2022年5月~2023年4月在鏡湖醫院急症室使用HFNC及NIV治療的I型呼吸衰竭患者,分析基礎資料、治療結局、呼吸困難評分、舒適度評分。結果HFNC組41例、NIV組26例。治療後的呼吸困難評分(VAS)、呼吸頻率的差異無統計學意義;治療後的氣合指數(PaO_(2)/FiO_(2))在NIV組改善更多,差異有統計學意義。在急症室通過HFNC或NIV治療2小時内的失敗率、入院後續用HFNC或NIV治療6小時内插管率、28天病死率,差異均無統計學意義。HFNC組舒適度評分更高,差異有統計學意義。結論對於I型呼吸衰竭患者,HFNC與NIV均可改善Ⅰ型呼吸衰竭患者生理指標及血氣分析指標,但與NIV比較,患者對HFNC的耐受性更好,更利於患者臨床治療。

Precision genome editing is highly desired for crop *** recently emerged CRISPR/Cas technology offers great potential applications in precision plant genome engineering.A prime editing(PE)approach combining a reverse transcriptase(RT)with a Cas9 nickase and a“priming”extended guide RNA(gRNA)has shown a high frequency for precise genome modification in mammalian cells and several plant ***,the applications of the PE approach in dicot plants are still limited and *** designed and tested prime editors for precision editing of a synthetic sequence in a transient assay and for desirable alleles of 10 loci in tomato by stable *** data obtained by targeted deep sequencing also revealed only low PE efficiencies in both the tobacco and tomato *** assessment of the activities of the PE components uncovered that the fusion of RT to Cas9 and the structure of PE gRNAs(pegRNAs)negatively affected the cleaving activity of the Cas9 *** self-complementarity between the primer binding sequences(PBSs)and spacer sequence might pose risks to the activity of the Cas9 ***,modifying the pegRNA sequences by shortening or introducing mismatches to the PBSs to reduce their melting temperatures did not enhance the PE efficiency at the MADS-box protein(SlMBP21),alcobaca(SlALC),and acetolactate synthase 1(SlALS1)*** data show challenges of the PE approach in tomato,indicating that a further improvement of the PE system for successful applications is demanded,such as the use of improved expression systems for enriching active PE complexes.

与听、说、读相比,汉语写作是许多学习汉语者公认最常遇到的问题。写作是一种“输出”的学习模式,要求学习者了解语言并能够熟练运用。而学术汉语写作的要求更高,对语体、逻辑、语篇结构及引用等方面都有特殊要求。本研究从元认知切入考察越南大学生对学术汉语写作的总体认知的认知。通过问卷调查、访谈法,考查了334名越南大学生对学术汉语写作的元认知现状。研究发现:1.越南学习者对自身普通汉语语言能力的认知态度比较乐观,而对于自身学术汉语写作能力认知评价较低;越南华裔学生普遍比非华裔学生对于自身总体汉语语言能力评价好;2.学术汉语写作经历及汉语水平等级对越南大学生学术汉语写作元认知知识有较大的影响;性别、学生类别、学习时长在元认知知识这维度上没有显著差异。关于学术汉语写作元认知策略,不同性别与不同汉语水平的越南大学生学术汉语写作的元认知策略略有差异;学生类别、学习时长、是否有过学术汉语写作的经历在元认知策略情况差别不大。3.在元认知知识的三个维度中,元认知任务知识高于元认知策略知识和元认知主体知识。4.在对学术汉语写作元认知策略知识和普通汉语写作元认知策略知识的判断上,越南学生判断准确率不高;5.越南学生对学术汉语写作元认知策略知识的认知和元认知策略能力的认知呈显著正相关,学生掌握的学术汉语写作元认知策略越丰富,其对于自身学术汉语写作的元认知策略能力的认知就越好。6.撰写学术汉语过程中,消极元认知体验出现的次数高于积极元认知体验。基于上述研究成果,本文认为学校应当开设相关的门课。汉语教师应消除学生对汉语写作的偏见、加强学生元认知的训练、关心学生的情绪及时化解学生的负面情绪。而学生本身应加强学术汉语写作的元认知、保持良好的情绪、培养制定计划的习惯。

Metal organic framework-combustion: A one-pot strategy to NiO nanoparticles with excellent anode properties for lithium ion batteries

NiO nanoparticles with average particles size of 30 nm are synthesized using a one-pot metal–organic framework-combustion（MOF-C） technique, for use as an anode material in rechargeable lithium ion batteries（LIBs）. The structural and electronic properties of these nanoparticles are studied using various techniques, including powder X-ray diffraction（PXRD）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）, and N_2 adsorption/desorption studies. The as-synthesized NiO nanoparticles sustained reversible stable capacities of 748 and 410 mAh/g at applied current densities of 500 and 1000 m A/g, respectively, after 100 cycles. Furthermore, the anode displays a notable rate capability, achieving a stable capacity of ~200 mAh/g at a high current density of10 A/g. These results indicate that the size of the NiO nanoparticles and their high surface area influence their electrochemical properties. Specifically, this combustion strategy is clearly favorable for improving the cyclability and rate capability of various metal oxides in rechargeable battery electrodes.

Ordered SnO nanoparticles in MWCNT as a functional host material for high-rate lithium-sulfur battery cathode

Lithium-sulfur battery has become one of the most promising candidates for next generation batteries, and it is still restricted due to the low sulfur conductivity, large volume expansion and severe polysulfide shuttling. Herein, we present a novel hybrid electrode with a ternary nanomaterial based on sulfur-impregnated multiwalled carbon nanotubes filled with ordered tin-monoxide nanoparticles （MWCNT-SnO/S）. Using a dry plasma reduction method, a mechanically robust material is prepared as a cathode host material for lithium-sulfur batteries. The MWCNT-SnO/S electrode exhibits high conductivity, good ability to capture polysulfides, and small volume change during a repeated charge-discharge process. In situ transmission electron microscopy and ultraviolet-visible absorption results indicate that the MWCNT-SnO host efficiently suppresses volume expansion during lithiation and reduces polysulfide dissolution into the electrolyte. Furthermore, the ordered SnO nanoparticles in the MWCNTs facilitate fast ion/electron transfer during the redox reactions by acting as connective links between the walls of the MWCNTs. The MWCNT-SnO/S cathode with a high sulfur content of 70 wt.% exhibits an initial discharge capacity of 1,682.4 mAh·g^-1 at 167.5 m·g^-1 （0.1 C rate） and retains a capacity of 530.1 mAh·g^-1 at 0.5 C after 1,000 cycles with nearly 100% Coulombic efficiency. Furthermore, the electrode exhibits the high capacity even at a high current rate of 20 C.

A controllable approach that combines surface plasmon resonance and twodimensional(2D)graphene/MoS2 heterojunction has not been implemented despite its potential for efficient photoelectrochemical(PEC)water *** this study,plasmonic Ag-decorated 2D MoS2 nanosheets were vertically grown on graphene substrates in a practical large-scale manner through metalorganic chemical vapor deposition of MoS2 and thermal evaporation of *** plasmonic Ag-decorated MoS2 nanosheets on graphene yielded up to 10 times higher photo-to-dark current ratio than MoS2 nanosheets on indium tin *** significantly enhanced PEC activity could be attributed to the synergetic effects of SPR and favorable graphene/2D MoS2 *** Ag nanoparticles not only increased visible-light and near-infrared absorption of 2D MoS2,but also induced highly amplified local electric field intensity in 2D *** addition,the vertically aligned 2D MoS2 on graphene acted as a desirable heterostructure for efficient separation and transportation of photo-generated *** study provides a promising path for exploiting the full potential of 2D MoS2 for practical large-scale and efficient PEC water-splitting applications.

Carbon-coated manganese dioxide nanoparticles and their enhanced electrochemical properties for zinc-ion battery applications

In this study, we report the cost-effective and simple synthesis of carbon-coated α-MnOnanoparticles(α-MnO@C) for use as cathodes of aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) for the first time. α-MnO@C was prepared via a gel formation, using maleic acid(CHO) as the carbon source, followed by annealing at low temperature of 270 °C. A uniform carbon network among the α-MnOnanoparticles was observed by transmission electron microscopy. When tested in a zinc cell, the α-MnO@C exhibited a high initial discharge capacity of 272 m Ah/g under 66 m A/g current density compared to 213 m Ah/g, at the same current density, displayed by the pristine sample. Further, α-MnO@C demonstrated superior cycleability compared to the pristine samples. This study may pave the way for the utilizing carbon-coated MnOelectrodes for aqueous ZIB applications and thereby contribute to realizing high performance eco-friendly batteries.

Knowledge and attitude toward COVID-19 among healthcare workers at District 2 Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City

Objective:To assess the knowledge and attitude toward coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19)among healthcare workers at District 2 Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC).Methods:A cross-sectional study was performed between January 2020 and February 2020 at District 2 Hospital.A systematic random sampling strategy was carried out and the data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire of the knowledge and attitude of healthcare workers regarding *** analysis was reported to describe the demographic,mean knowledge and attitude score of healthcare *** statistics including t-test,ANOVA and Spearman’s correlation were used to evaluate the relationship between study ***:A total of 327 eligible healthcare workers had a mean score of knowledge and attitude of 8.17±1.3(range 4-10)and 1.86±0.43(range 1-5),*** showed good knowledge and a positive ***,approximately two thirds of the participants knew the mode of transmission,the isolation period and treatment(67.0%,65.8%,and 58.4%,respectively),and 82.3%and 79.8%,respectively,held positive attitude regarding the risk of personal and family members getting *** was a negative correlation between knowledge scores and attitude scores(r=-0.21,P<0.001).Additionally,healthcare workerspredominately used social media to inform themselves about COVID-19(91.1%).Conclusions:The majority of healthcare workers had good knowledge and positive attitude toward ***,the level of some knowledge and attitude lower than that expected for their position level towards the *** education interventions and campaigns are required for healthcare workers.
