In the last decade,micro-architected structures have gained significant attention in academia and industry for their lightweight,strong,and thermally efficient *** by biomimicry design,this paper presents a novel ribbed family of additively manufactured Micro-Architected Domes(MAD).The design incorporates tetrapod pyramid unit cells,golden ratio-based fractal patterns,Schoen’s Minimal Gyroid,and spherical *** study focuses on dome radius,height,and azimuth/elevation partitioning as input variables,with the main output being ribbed micro-cell *** relationships between unit-cells’diameter and input variables were established through problem-solving and numerical computations:linear dependency with the dome radius and hyperbolic dependency with the azimuth and elevation *** proposed design successfully adhered to the Surface-to-Volume ratio of Schoen’s Minimal Gyroid,achieving an average volume relative density of 2.5%,confirming its lightweight *** feasibility of the design was further supported by fabricating three specimens using Filament Fused *** research showcases the potential of biomimicry-inspired micro-architected structures,paving the way for innovative applications in various fields.

The outcomes of computational study of electronic, magnetic and optical spectra for A2BX6 (A = Rb;B = Tc, Pb, Pt, Sn, W, Ir, Ta, Sb, Te, Se, Mo, Mn, Ti, Zr and X = Cl, Br) materials have been proceeded utilizing Vanderbilt Ultra Soft Pseudo Potential (US-PP) process. The Rb2PbBr6 and Rb2PbCl6 are found to be a (Г-Г) semiconductors with energy gaps of 0.275 and 1.142 eV, respectively making them promising photovoltaic materials. The metallic behavior of the materials for Rb2BX6 (B = Tc, W, Ir, Ta, Mn, Sb, Mo) has been confirmed showing the attendance of conducting lineaments. The dielectric function is found to be large close to the ultraviolet districts (3.10 - 4.13 eV). The extinction coefficient of the Rb2BX6 has the ability to be used for implements. The band structures and density of states ensure the magnetic semiconductors’ nature of the Rb2Mn (Cl, Br)6 perovskites. The total calculated magnetic moment of Rb2MnCl6 and Rb2MnB6 is 3.00μβ. Advanced spintronic technology requires room-temperature ferromagnetism. The present work confirms that, bromine and chlorine-founded double perovskites are extremely attractive for photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices.

In the medical and dental field, the importance and need for the study of materials and drugs for use as bone grafts or regeneration in injured areas due to the presence of fractures, infections or tumors that cause extensive loss of bone tissue is observed. Bone is a specialized, vascularized and dynamic connective tissue that changes throughout the life of the organism. When injured, it has a unique ability to regenerate and repair without the presence of scars, but in some situations, due to the size of the defect, the bone tissue does not regenerate completely. Thus, due to its importance, there is a great development in therapeutic approaches for the treatment of bone defects through studies that include autografts, allografts and artificial materials used alone or in association with bone grafts. Pharmaceuticals composed of biomaterials and osteogenic active substances have been extensively studied because they provide potential for tissue regeneration and new strategies for the treatment of bone defects. Statins work as specific inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMG-CoAreductase). They represent efficient drugs in lowering cholesterol, as they reduce platelet aggregation and thrombus deposition;in addition, they promote angiogenesis, reduce the β-amyloid peptide related to Alzheimer’s disease and suppress the activation of T lymphocytes. Furthermore, these substances have been used in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and coronary artery disease. By inhibiting HMG-CoAreductase, statins not only inhibit cholesterol synthesis, but also exhibit several other beneficial pleiotropic effects. Therefore, there has been increasing interest in researching the effects of statins, including Simvastatin, on bone and osteometabolic diseases. However, statins in high doses cause inflammation in bone defects and inhibit osteoblastic differentiation, negatively contributing to bone repair. The present investigation deals with the positron behaviour in Alxlnl_xSb ternary semiconductor alloys in the zinc-blende phase. The calculations are mainly based on a pseudopotential approach coupled with the independent particle model. Features such as elastic constants, electron and positron chemical potentials, positron deformation potential and positron diffusion constant are determined. Moreover, the positron affinity to InSb, A1Sb and their related ternary alloys and heterostructures is calculated. The present results are compared to experiment and found to be in reasonably good agreement. The information gathered from the present study can help in understanding the positron trapping at interfaces and precipitates and might be useful in slow-positron-beam experiments.

The Northern part of Algeria is considered to be the most active seismogenic area in the Western Mediterranean region. This area has a rich history of seismicity and had experienced many destructive earthquakes such as the Chlef （1954）, El-Asnam （1980）, Beni-Chograne （1994）, AYn-Temouchent （1999） and recently Boumerdes （2003） earthquakes. The earthquake of AYn-Temouchent on December 22, 1999, was of magnitude 5,7, killed at least 28 people and made thousands of families homeless. Consequent damage was seen in all the structures located in a radius of 30 kin. In the city of E1-Maleh, located 12 km northeast of Ain-Temouchent, the ＂The National Bank Branch＂ of E1-Maleh suffered moderate damage, but enough to justify questions about its safety. The project of rehabilitating this building required a broad analysis of its static and dynamic, past and present behaviors. The study reported in this paper was a necessary preliminary step toward the development of an optimal retrofit solution.

Potential use of condensate generated by cooling the steam obtained during high-frequency/vacuum drying step of hardwood lumber was *** liquid condensates were obtained from oak,beech and walnut *** liquid condensate was then used as a replacement for deionized water in the synthesis of Urea-Formaldehyde(UF)resin(5 wt%of total resin)using a laboratory scale *** Density Fibreboards(MDFs)were produced using control and modified *** of Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)from the MDFs were determined by Micro Chamber *** bonding properties of the MDFs were determined according to European *** main VOC emissions from MDFs produced using UF resin containing the condensate were a-Pinene,b-Pinene,careen,and acetic acid,which were lower than those of the control MDF,except for the acetic acid emission of MDF with oak *** the tree species,the beech wood condensate gave the lowest VOC emissions(732μg·m^-3)from the MDFs,followed by the MDFs containing walnut wood condensate(852μg·m^-3),oak wood condensate(998μg·m^-3),and control MDF(3529μg·m^-3),***,the internal bond strength of MDFs containing the condensate was negatively impacted by the condensate(0.70 N·mm^-2 to 0.54 N·mm^-2 depending on the tree species).The results showed that the liquid wood-drying condensate which generally released to the ground could be efficiently used as an alternative to expensive VOCs scavenger used in the production of UF resin bonded *** may be one of the most efficient uses of the condensate in high value-added materials.

We perform a first-principles study to evaluate the structural,electronic and optical properties of GaAs_(x)Sb_(1-x) ternary and In_(y)Ga_(1-y)As_(x)Sb_(1-x) quaternary semiconductor alloys up to x=0.5,y=*** employ the Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof form of the generalized gradient approximation(GGA)within the framework of density functional theory(DFT)by using a simulation *** are carried out in different *** these alloys,lattice parameters and optical band gap energy are *** optical band gaps varywith increasing and decreasing As and In concentrations,*** optical conductivity,absorption and the real part of the dielectric function ε1(ω) are *** results agree well with the theoretical and experimental data available in the literature.
