Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). Consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(GM)(Mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(Mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

The magnetohydrodynamic （MHD） flow and mass transfer of an electrically conducting upper convected Maxwell （UCM） fluid at a porous surface are studied in the presence of a chemically reactive species. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations along with the appropriate boundary conditions are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations and numerically solved by the Keller-box method. The effects of various physical parameters on the flow and mass transfer characteristics are graphically presented and discussed. It is observed that the order of the chemical reaction is to increase the thickness of the diffusion boundary layer. Also, the mass transfer rate strongly depends on the Schmidt number and the reaction rate parameter. Furthermore, available results in the literature are obtained as a special case.

Objective: To report the i ndings of inl uenza surveillance programme from Union territory of Puducherry and to document the clinical and epidemiological data of inl uenza viruses over a i ve year period from 2009-2013. Methods: Respiratory samples were collected from patients with influenza-like illness from 2009-2013 as part of routine diagnostic and surveillance activity. Detection of pandemic inl uenza A(H1n1) 2009, inl uenza A(H3n2) and inl uenza B was done using Real-time PCR. Results: Of the total 2 247 samples collected from patients with inl uenza-like illness during the study period 287(12.7%) and 92(4.0%) were positive for inl uenza A(H1n1) 2009 and inl uenza A(H3n2) respectively. A subset of 557 of these samples were also tested for inl uenza B and 24(4.3%) were positive. Signii cantly higher positivity rate for both viruses was observed in adults when compared with children. The peak positivity of influenza A(H1n1) 2009 was observed in 2009 followed by 2012, while that of inl uenza A(H3n2) was more uniformly distributed with the exception of 2012. Overall mortality rate due to influenza A(H1n1) 2009 was 7.6% while it was 1% for influenza A(H3n2). Each year influenza-like illness and influenza virus activity coincided with period of high rainfall and low temperature except in the first half of 2012. Conclusions: As the sole referral laboratory in this region, the data provides a comprehensive picture of inl uenza activity. This information will be useful in future planning of the vaccine schedule and inl uenza pandemic preparedness.

In this paper,a simple and cheap method to prepare porous ZnO by using zinc nitrate,ethanol and triethanolamine(TEA)is *** as-prepared sample consisted of nano and micro *** sample was calcined at 300℃,400℃and 500℃with different heating *** 500℃,the nano pores disappeared but the sample maintained its micro *** emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)pictures confirmed that the size and growth of ZnO nanoparticles depended on the heating *** infrared(IR)absorption peak of Zn-O stretching vibration positioned at 457 cm^(-1)was split into two peaks centered at 518 cm^(-1)and 682 cm^(-1)with the change of *** results confirmed that Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectrum was sensitive to variations in particle size,shape and *** photoluminescence(PL)spectrum of porous ZnO contained five emission peaks at 397 nm,437 nm,466 nm,492 nm and 527 *** intensity enhanced monotonously with increase of temperature and the change was rapid between temperatures of 300℃and 500℃.This was due to the elimination of organic species and improvement in the crystallanity of the sample at 500℃.
