The temporal decay of the oxidation of methane(CH4-O2reaction)over palladium supported on silica is determined experimentally at different temperatures,comparing the results with those of various classical models which show the behavior of the adsorbed phase as the cause of the *** effect is visualized through Monte Carlo simulations of the CH4-O2reaction on a mixed lattice whose partial poisoning,due to the configuration of the OH groups on the surface of the adsorbate,is translated into a gradual decay of the reaction’s activity.

Compelling pieces of evidence derived from both clinical and experimental research has demonstrated the crucial contribution of diabetes mellitus(DM)as a risk factor associated with increased cancer incidence and mortality in many human neoplasms,including gastric cancer(GC).DM is considered a systemic inflammatory disease and therefore,this inflammatory status may have profound effects on the tumor microenvironment(TME),particularly by driving many molecular mechanisms to generate a more aggressive *** is an active driver in the modification of the behavior of many cell components of the TME as well as altering the mechanical properties of the extracellular matrix(ECM),leading to an increased ECM ***,DM can alter many cellular signaling mechanisms and thus favoring tumor growth,invasion,and metastatic potential,as well as key elements in regulating cellular functions and cross-talks,such as the microRnAs network,the production,and cargo of exosomes,the metabolism of cell stroma and resistance to *** the present review,we intend to highlight the mechanistic contributions of DM to the remodeling of TME in GC.

Plant root development is strongly affected by nutrient availability. Despite the importance of structure and function of roots in nutrient acquisition,statistical modeling approaches to evaluate dynamic and temporal modulations of root system architecture in response to nutrient availability have remained as widely open and exploratory areas in root biology. In this study,we developed a statistical modeling approach to investigate modulations of root system architecture in response to nitrogen availability. Mathematical models were designed for quantitative assessment of root growth and root branching phenotypes and their dynamic relationships based on hierarchical con figuration of primary and lateral roots formulating the fishbone-shaped root system architecture in Arabidopsis thaliana. Time-series datasets reporting dynamic changes in root developmental traits on different nitrate or ammonium concentrations were generated for statistical analyses. Regression analyses unraveled key parameters associated with：（i） inhibition of primary root growth under nitrogen limitation or on ammonium;（ii） rapid progression of lateral root emergence in response to ammonium; and（iii） inhibition of lateral root elongation in the presence of excess nitrate or ammonium. This study provides a statistical framework for interpreting dynamic modulation of root system architecture,supported by metaanalysis of datasets displaying morphological responses of roots to diverse nitrogen supplies.

This study analyze the relation between body composition, physical activity （PA）, and sex in Chilean children from rural and urban public educational institutions. The prevalence of obesity （according to BMI） was 30.88% in urban children and 28.93% in rural children. Central obesity presented mainly in the rural girls. Approximately 90% of the participants reported 〈7 h of PA/week, regardless of residential area. In addition, central fat was strongly associated with rural residence; the children reported lower PA levels, and they presented a higher prevalence of central fat. The results reflect the need to implement programs to improve PA conditions in the child urban-rural population.

能源部门的发展与确保不断增长的能源需求及其安全息息相关,尤其是在发展中国家这种情况更为突出。由于拉丁美洲国家自然资源丰富,因此过去几年,面向拉丁美洲的FDI主要集中在可再生能源领域,且主要由资源寻求型国家主导。然而,关于拉丁美洲能源部门FDI影响因素研究的文献却不多。本文选择了2003-2019年期间来自六个主要经济体(日本、中国、德国、西班牙、加拿大和美国)对16个拉丁美洲国家能源部门的FDI流入量,以及总体FDI作为研究对象。本文的六个来源经济体均位于目前世界前十大FDI投资者之列,而且,它们每两个代表不同的大陆,这可以使我们获得更多维度异质性的样本来分析解释变量的影响,例如:GDP、人均GDP、距离、人口、语言、FTA、贸易开放度和投资开放度指数等等。本文采用了OLs、固定效应和随机效应估计三种不同的计量方法进行实证检验。各章的内容安排如下:第一章介绍了拉丁美洲FDI流动的背景,特别是在能源部门。此外,对当前研究进行了回顾,以显示FDI的决定因素、FDI的作用,并使用引力模型方法进行了具体回顾。最后确定了本研究的结构、主要贡献和不足。第二章通过拉丁美洲的经济趋势,以及该地区六个来源国的关系,发展变量的现状以研究。第三章指出了FDI的概念定义和八个解释变量。此外,本节介绍了一些相关的理论回顾,重点介绍了纵向和横向FDI模型。第四章提供了基本的重力模型和方法规范。此外,还给出了数据的来源及其统计描述。此外,还分析了两个基本计量经济学方程和四个增强型计量经济学方程,以呈现总体FDI和能源FDI的结果。最后,第五章给出了一些结论,并对未来的政策和研究提出了一些考虑。研究结果表明,东道国GDP和东道国人口是影响FDI总量和能源部门FDI的主要因素。是否使用共同语言仅在FDI总量中具有显著影响;而贸易协定仅在能源部门FDI方面具正向影响。在能源部门FDI估计中,贸易开放指数为正且显著;投资开放指数,在整体和特定能源FDI中均具有高度显著正向影响。基于此,拉美国家应该重点考虑升级FTA,加强经济开放程度,以吸引FDI流入,同时也应注意一些能源项目可能会对社会和环境产生的潜在影响。

Capsule endoscopy(CE)is a recently developed diagnostic method for diseases of the small bowel that is non-invasive,safe,and highly *** role in patients with inflammatory bowel disease has been widely validated in suspected and established Crohn’s disease(CD)due to its ability to assess superficial lesions not detected by cross-sectional imaging and proximal lesions of the small bowel not evaluable by *** CE is a highly sensitive but less specific technique,differential diagnoses that can simulate CD must be considered,and its interpretation should be supported by other clinical and laboratory *** use of validated scoring systems to characterize and estimate lesion severity(Lewis score,Capsule Endoscopy Crohn’s Disease Activity Index),as well as the standardization of the language used to define the lesions(Delphi Consensus),have reduced the interobserver variability in CE reading observed in clinical practice,allowing for the optimization of diagnoses and clinical management *** appearance of the panenteric CE,the incorporation of artificial intelligence,magnetically-guided capsules,and tissue biopsies are elements that contribute to CE being a promising,unique diagnostic tool in digestive tract diseases.

Microcystin-RR（MC-RR）,a form of microcystin with two arginine moieties,is a cyanobacterial toxin that has been detected across a wide geographic *** is a great concern globally because of its potential liver ***,the abilities of BiVO4,Ag-BiVO4,Ag2O-BiVO4 and Ag/Ag2O-BiVO4 to photocatalytically degrade MC-RR under visible-light irradiation（λ≥420 nm） were investigated and *** possible degradation pathways were explored through analysis of the reaction intermediates by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass *** results showed that the presence of Ag^0 enhanced the photocatalytic efficiency of Ag/Ag2O-BiVO4 via a synergetic effect between Ag2O and Ag^0 at the p-n ***,the presence of Ag^0 also greatly promoted the adsorption of MC-RR on the photocatalyst *** experiments on mice showed that the toxicity of MC-RR was significantly reduced after photocatalytic degradation.
