Slip effects on streamline topologies and their bifurcations for peristaltic flows of a viscous fluid

We discuss the effects of the surface slip on streamline patterns and their bifurcations for the peristaltic transport of a newtonian fluid. The flow is in a two-dimensional symmetric channel or an axisymmetric tube. An exact expression for the stream function is obtained in the wave frame under the assumptions of long wavelength and low Reynolds number for both cases. For the discussion of the particle path in the wave frame, a system of nonlinear autonomous differential equations is established and the methods of dynamical systems are used to discuss the local bifurcations and their topological changes. Moreover, all types of bifurcations and their topological changes are discussed graphically. Finally, the global bifurcation diagram is used to summarize the bifurcations.

Investigation concerning peristaltic motion of couple stress fluid is made. An incompressible couple stress fluid occupies the porous medium. Mathematical anal- ysis is presented through large wavelength and low Reynolds number. Exact analytical expressions of axial velocity, volume flow rate, pressure gradient, and stream function are calculated as a function of couple stress parameter. The essential feature of the analysis is a full description of influence of couple stress parameter and permeability parameter on the pressure, frictional force, mechanical efficiency, and trapping.

The present investigation studies the peristaltic flow of the Jeffrey fluid through a tube of finite length. The fluid is electrically conducting in the presence of an applied magnetic field. Analysis is carried out under the assumption of long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations. Expressions of the pressure gradient, volume flow rate, average volume flow rate, and local wall shear stress are obtained. The effects of relaxation time, retardation time, Hartman number on pressure, local wall shear stress, and mechanical efficiency of peristaltic pump are studied. The reflux phenomenon is also investigated. The case of propagation of a non-integral number of waves along the tube walls, which are inherent characteristics of finite length vessels, is also examined.

In this study Moringa oleifera leaves(biosorbent) is used for Cadmium(Ⅱ) removal from water as a natural alternative for synthetic *** water was used to find optimum conditions for water treatment using *** effect of biosorbent dosage and particle size, contact time, and pH effect were *** Absorption Spectroscopy(AAS) was used to monitor the Cd(Ⅱ) concentration before and after treatment with *** Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) was used to monitor biosorbent structure changes before and after loading with Cd(Ⅱ).Many parameters were studied such as: dosage of biosorbent(1 – 10 g/L), contact time(2 – 20 min), particle size(2 mm, 1 mm, 500 μm, 250 μm, and nge(4-10), and Cd(Ⅱ) concentrations(1, 3, 5, and 7 ppm).The statistical analysis of studied parameters showed that all parameters has an effect on Cd(Ⅱ) removal with p values nges in the finger print area of biosorbent functional groups due to adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ).As a conclusion, Moringa oleifera leaves can be used as an effective, low cost, and environmentally friendly biosorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ) from water.

Traumatic brain injury is a global health crisis,causing significant death and disability *** that follows traumatic brain injury has serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive impairments,with astrocytes involved in this *** traumatic brain injury,astrocytes rapidly become reactive,and astrogliosis propagates from the injury core to distant brain *** astroglial proteins are downregulated near the traumatic brain injury core,while pro-inflammatory astroglial genes are *** altered gene expression is considered a pathological remodeling of astrocytes that produces serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive *** addition,glial scar formed by reactive astrocytes is initially necessary to limit immune cell infiltration,but in the long term impedes axonal reconnection and functional *** therapeutic strategies for traumatic brain injury are focused on preventing acute ***,cannabinoids,progesterone,beta-blockers,and cerebrolysin demonstrate neuroprotective benefits but most of them have not been studied in the context of *** this review,we discuss the cell signaling pathways activated in reactive astrocytes following traumatic brain injury and we discuss some of the potential new strategies aimed to modulate astroglial responses in traumatic brain injury,especially using cell-targeted strategies with miRnAs or lncRnA,viral vectors,and repurposed drugs.
