Extending the resolution limits of nanoshape imprint lithography using molecular dynamics of polymer crosslinking

Emerging nanoscale applications in energy,electronics,optics,and medicine can exhibit enhanced performance by incorporating nanoshaped structures(nanoshape structures here are defined as shapes enabled by sharp corners with radius of curvaturenm).nanoshaped fabrication at high-throughput is well beyond the capabilities of advanced optical *** the highest-resolution e-beams and large-area e-beams have a resolution limit of 5 and 18 nm half-pitch lines or 20 nm half-pitch holes,respectively,their low throughput necessitates finding other fabrication *** using nanoimprint lithography followed by metal-assisted chemical etching,diamond-like nanoshapes with~3 nm radius corners and 100 nm half-pitch over large areas have been previously demonstrated to improve the nanowire capacitor performance(by~90%).In future dynamic random-access memory(DRAM)nodes(with DRAM being an exemplar CMOs application),the implementation of nanowire capacitors scaled tonm halfpitch is *** scale nanoshape imprint lithography down to these half-pitch values,the previously established atomistic simulation framework indicates that the current imprint resist materials are unable to retain the nanoshape structures needed for DRAM *** this study,the previous simulation framework is extended to study improved shape retention by varying the resist formulations and by introducing novel bridge structures in nanoshape *** simulation study has demonstrated viable approaches to sub-10 nm nanoshaped imprinting with good shape retention,which are matched by experimental data.

Interactions of pulsed laser radiation with resonance domains of multiparticle colloidal aggregates having an increasingly complex local environment are studied via an optodynamic model. The model is applied to the simplest configurations, such as single particles, dimers, and trimers consisting of mono- and polydisperse Ag nanoparticles. We analyze how the local environment and the associated local feld enhancement by surrounding particles affect the optodynamic processes in domains, including their photomodification and optical properties.

CeO2/TiO2 composite nanoparticles with different Ce/Ti molar ratios have been successfully synthesized via sol-gel method. It was found that the band gap of the nanocomposite is tunable by varying Ce/Ti content. The nonlinear response of the sample was studied by using the nanosecond laser pulses from a Q switched nd：Yag laser employing the Z-scan method. Open aperture Z-scan experiment revealed that with the increase in the CeO2 amount in the nanocomposite, the non-linearity of the composite increases, and it was assumed that this could be due to the modification of TiO2 dipole symmetry by the addition of CeO2. Closed aperture Z-scan experiment showed that when the CeO2 amount increases, positive nonlinear refraction decreases, and this could be attributed to the increase in the two photon absorption which subsequently suppresses the nonlinear refraction.

Mathematical modeling of pulsating heat pipes through ‘first’ principles is a contemporary problem which remains quite elusive. simplifications and assumptions made in all the modeling approaches developed so far render them unsuitable for engineering design. In this paper, a more realistic modeling scheme is presented which provides considerable try for thought toward the next progressive step. At high enough heat flux level, closed loop pulsating heat pipes experience a bulk internal unidirectional fluid circulation. Under such a condition, conventional two-phase flow modeling in capillary tubes may be applied. This has been attempted for single-loop PHPs. A homogeneous model and a separated two-fluid flow model based on simultaneous conservation of mass, momentum and energy, have been developed for an equivalent ‘open flow’ system. The model allows prediction of two-phase flow parameters in each sub-section of the device thereby providing important insights into its operation. The concept of ‘void fraction constraint’ in pulsating heat pipe operation is introduced and its relevance to future modeling attempts is outlined.

The age at which a woman enters natural menopause has also been associated to death from any cause. Menopause is a natural component of aging that happens between the ages of 45 and 55, with the average menopausal age being 51. Previous research has revealed the age at which women reach menopause, but there is no evidence to support the link between menopause and longevity. We made a study in assessing the limits of maximum lifespan at menopausal age in our previous article. In this paper, we aim to predict the maximum lifespan of women at mean menopausal age.

The alkylation of toluene with methanol to selective formation of p-xylene has been systematically studied. ZsM-12 （MTW）/ZsM-5 co-crystalline zeolite in 40：60 proportions have been synthesized by the same molar gel composition, but at different temperatures and periods than that of ZsM-12 and ZsM-5, separately. All the prepared samples are characterized by XRD, sEM, BET, and XRF. The activity of toluene alkylation was investigated with a mixture of toluene and methanol as a feed over the ZsM-12, ZsM-12/ZsM-5 co-crystalline, ZsM-5, and physical mixture of ZsM-12/ZsM-5. From characterization, it is observed that the ZsM-12/ZsM-5 co-crystalline material is different from that of ZsM-12, ZsM-5, and their physical mixture. Further, the ZsM-12/ZsM-5 co-crystalline zeolite produces the highest content of xylene and has better selectivity for p-xylene than ZsM-12, ZsM-5, and their physical mixture.

In this research, the mechanism of mechanical alloying（MA） synthesis of TiFe intermetallic compound（IMC）from individual components Ti and Fe has been studied. The partition coefficient of the apparent diffusion and the reaction rate constant during MA solid-state synthesis of the TiFe intermetallic compound in a planetary ball mill have been estimated. The results indicate that the apparent diffusion coefficient is close to 10;cm;/s that is approximately one order higher than the conventional high temperature diffusion coefficient. The reaction rate constant is close to 1.75·10;. The relation between the structure and the hydrogen storage properties of MA synthesized IMC TiFe have been briefly discussed.
