不同月龄婴儿ABR正常值分析

目的：探讨不同月龄听力正常婴儿听性脑干反应（auditory brainstem responses ，ABR）正常值及变化规律。方法对212例（327耳）听力正常婴儿进行ABR测试，按年龄段分组：1～月龄组167耳，3～月龄组105耳，6～12月龄组55耳，观察各组ABR反应阈、波潜伏期、波间期、Ⅴ／Ⅰ波振幅比及阈值附近波Ⅰ﹑Ⅲ、Ⅴ引出率。结果在75dBnHL短声刺激下，各组婴儿波Ⅲ、Ⅴ潜伏期，Ⅰ—Ⅲ、Ⅲ—Ⅴ、Ⅰ—Ⅴ波间期均随月龄增大而逐渐缩短，Ⅴ／Ⅰ波振幅比随着月龄增加逐渐增大，各组间两两比较差异均有统计学意义（P＜0．05），波Ⅰ潜伏期随月龄增加无明显变化，阈值附近波Ⅰ﹑Ⅲ、Ⅴ出现率随月龄增加而不同。结论婴儿ABR检测时，阈值附近各波引出的表现形式，其成熟程度依次为：仅引出Ⅴ波＞仅引出Ⅲ、Ⅴ波＞Ⅰ﹑Ⅲ、Ⅴ波均引出；婴儿听觉神经系统是在不断发育和完善的，且听觉通路各部位的神经发育是不平衡的，判断婴儿ABR检测结果要根据不同月龄选择相应的参考标准。

This study aims to examine the following three hypotheses on the impact of global warming on the populations of the water strider, Aquarius paludum in the Kochi-nankoku area (33。30'n) of Kochi prefecture, Japan through the recent data collected in 2009-2011. 1) Has the generation number increased? 2) Has aestivation appeared in adults? 3) Have overwintering adults stopped dispersing between the water surface and overwintering lands-sites far away from water and, instead, overwintered on/near the shore? Sampling data showed that the number of generations may have increased from three (1989-2002 strains) and four (2004-2008) to five (2009-2011) per year in Kochi (33。n). The ratio of adults having well developed flight muscles decreased from 45% in 1995 to 24% - 28% in 2009-2011 inoverwintering adults collected from the field in fall likely as a result of histolysis. “Mosaic-typed” wing morph group with long fore-wings and short hind-wings newly appeared in 2009-2011 in the Kochi-nankoku overwintering populations. The mosaic-typed wings group cannot fly and the black and long fore wings might function as absorbing apparatus of sun-lights in the daytime of winter. Some overwintering adults seem to stop migrating between water bodies and overwintering sites on land far from the water bodies and overwinter, instead, near the shore. The use of Aquarius paludum as a biological indicator would be possible in the future, because this species can respond and change their reproductive and dispersal characteristics to the global change.

Influence of Sex Differences on Temporal Sequence of Sensations after Ingesting Fruit-Flavored Tea—A Preliminary Study

The goal of this preliminary study was to examine the effect of participants’ sexes on the temporal sequence of dominant sensations elicited by fruit-flavored teas. Twelve healthy young adults were assigned to male (n = 6) and female (n = 6) groups. Both groups were evaluated for four sensations using four fruit-flavored teas with 0.05 M sucrose using the temporal dominance of sensations (TDS) method. Only two sensations, sweetness and fruitiness, were consistently reported in the two groups. The male group first reported fruitiness and then sweetness as the dominant sensation following ingestion of the samples. Conversely, the female group reported these two dominant sensations in the reverse order. Significant dominant durations between the two sensations largely varied among the samples in both groups. These results suggest that there are sex-based differences in the temporal sequence of dominant sensations elicited by fruit-flavored teas as evaluated by the TDS method.

This study aims, first, to examine the limit for tolerance to lower salinity by an oceanic sea skater, Halobates micans, and , second, to make it clear whether exclusively fresh water Halobatinae species, Metrocoris histrio has salinity tolerance. Adults of H. micans were collected using neuston net from the starboard side of R/V MIRAI on a fixed station at 8°S, 80°E, whereas those of M. histrio were collected from a small pond filled with a spring fresh water in Kochi (33°n, 133°E), Japan. Time in survival was measured in starved condition under several salinity conditions: 0‰, 2‰, 4‰, 6‰, 8‰, 9‰ and 10‰ for H. micans;0‰, 5‰, 10‰, 12.5‰, 15‰ for M. histrio. Half of adults were in coma due to lower salinity under 10‰ and time in survival was less than 10 hours under less than 4‰ for H. micans. Time in survival was half at 5‰ of 80 hours on average at 0‰ as a control and less than 10 hours at 10‰ or higher salinity for M. histrio. Relatively flexible osmo-regulation ability by H. micans would be related to wide variety of salinity condition of surface oceanic water, whereas very limited tolerance even to lower salinity of 5‰ may be permitted by the no chances to be exposed to brackish water in natural habitats of M. histrio. This study showed that salinity tolerance of Halobatinae species would reflect, directly, the salinity condition of their habitats.

The relationship between changes of elderly people’s participation in social activities and their cognitive functions was examined. Healthy, middle and upper-middle aged people (n = 407) responded to the nagoya University Cognitive Assessment Battery and to a questionnaire inquiring about their participation in social activities. The results suggested that those whose participation in social activities increased in the last 6 months showed better verbal functioning than those whose participation was unchanged or decreased. Moreover, those whose social participation decreased showed inferior memory function compared to those whose social participation was unchanged, or increased. Furthermore, those whose social participation increased had better information processing speed than those whose social participation decreased. These results suggest that changes in social activities might act as an important signal that is indicative of the cognitive decline in elderly people, which would be useful to local health care managers in the elderly people’s community.

Buried high explosive(HE) charges represent a high threat to military vehicles. The detonation of these charges can lead to significant momentum transfer onto vehicles and their occupants. A detailed understanding of the physical processes involved in the loading of vehicle structures is necessary for an optimization of effective countermeasures and protection systems. A quantitative description of the local momentum distribution on the vehicle underbody due to the detonation process is of special importance. In the following, a new test setup is presented that allows the experimental determination of the specific impulse distribution. It is based on a ring arrangement where the elements are nested into each other and the velocity of each ring is correlated with the local specific impulse at its *** momentum transfer to a vehicle depends on a number of influencing factors such as: charge mass,embedding material(e.g. sand, gravel, clay), density, water content, saturation, depth of burial, ground clearance and vehicle shape. The presented technology is applied to quantify the influence of the embedding material(alluvial sand, quartz sand), the burial depth and the water content on the local specific impulse distribution. The obtained data can be used as initial condition for the numerical simulation of occupant safety assessment and as input for empirical modeling of momentum transfer on structures.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate temperature preference for habitat of three species of oceanic sea skaters, Halobates micans, H. germanus and H. sericeus. For each of the three species, we examined the relationship between population density and surface water and air temperatures in the sampling sites during three science cruises in the tropical to temperate zone of the Pacific Ocean. A higher density of H. micans was observed in sites with higher water and air temperatures at 28℃?- 30℃?than that at site with lower temperatures of 23℃?- 28℃. A higher density of H. germanus was observed in sites with extremely high temperatures of 29.6℃?and 30℃?than that in sites with moderately high temperatures of 28℃?- 29℃?in the Pacific Ocean, while a relatively high density was observed in sites with a wide range of temperatures from 24℃?- 30℃?in the southern hemisphere Pacific Ocean. The relatively low temperature preference of 23℃?- 28℃?exhibited by H. sericeus may be related to its size as the smallest among the three species and its relatively wide latitudinal distribution ranging up to 40?n.

Autism Spectrum Traits in Adults Affect Mental Health Status via Early Maladaptive Schemas

EMSs (early maladaptive schemas) may influence general health status and the development and maintenance of some psychiatric disorders. This study investigated whether early maladaptive schemas act as a mediator in the relationship between autistic traits and general health status in non-clinical adults. A cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was used. The AQ (Autism-Spectrum Quotient), YSQ (Young Schema Questionnaire), and GHQ (General Health Questionnaire) were administered to a non-clinical sample of 342 university students (n = 342,238 women and 112 men; mean age = 21.36 years, SD = 5.17). We found a significant relationship between autism spectrum traits and mental health, completely mediated by EMSs. Thus, higher autism spectrum trait scores predicted higher EMSs scores, which in turn predicted poorer mental health. Early maladaptive schemas appear to account for the mental health problems suffered by adults with autism spectrum traits. There are no additional data available.
