Objective:To establish a novel and highly specific loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP) assay for the identification of nervous necrosis virus(NNV) ***:A set of synthesized primers was used to match the sequences of a specific region of the nnr gene from the National Center for Biotechnology Information database,not originating from NNV-infected fish,the efficiency and specificity of LAMP were measured dependent on the concentration of DNA polymerase and the reaction temperature and *** addition,to determine species-specific LAMP primers,cross reactivity testing was applied to the reaction between NVV and other virus families including viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus and marine ***:The optimized LAMP reaction carried out at 64 ℃ for 60 min,and above 4 U Bst DNA *** sensitivity of LAMP for the detection of nnv was thus about 10 times greater than the sensitivity of polymerase chain *** LAMP assay primers were specific for the detection NNV infection in Epinephelus ***:The development of LAMP primers based on genetic information from a public database,not virus-infected samples,may provide a very simple and convenient method to identify viral infection in aquatic organisms.

A two-stage algorithm is presented to determine an analytical model-based rational function by adaptively selecting sam-pling *** the first stage,the rational interpolation function is created by using Stoer-Bulirsch algorithm and comparing the fitted model with the different *** the second stage,the fitted model is validated by comparing with the first-principle model at a set of checking *** checking points will be added to the sampling series determined in the first stage to improve the fitted *** new proposed algorithm is more accurate and effective than that using Stoer-Bulirsch interpolation only due to the fact that it appends the validation *** a highly oscillating curve is approximated,the validation ensures the fitting *** the two-stage MBPE algorithm,some time-consuming electromagnetic computations can be replaced by the interpolation from the fitting functions,which can increase the computational efficiency *** method is used to calculate the samplings of the Green’s functions in a multi-layer horizontal soil to demonstrate its *** number of samples used to accurately model such Green’s functions is less than20for the typical soil *** computational time can be reduced by more than two orders of magnitude compared with that using the conventional uniform sampling technology.

The genus Lactarius Pers.(Russulales)is a cosmopolitan group of Basidiomycota that forms ectomycorrhizal relationships primarily with both deciduous and coniferous *** the genus has been well-studied in Europe and North America,only fragmentary researches have been carried out on Asian *** particular,the distribution of Lactarius species in South Korea is poorly understood due to insufficient morphological descriptions and a lack of DNA sequence *** addition,the misuse of European and North American names has added to confusion regarding the taxonomy of Asian Lactarius *** this study,the diversity of Lactarius in South Korea was evaluated by employing both morphological and phylogenetic approaches.A multi-locus phylogenetic analysis of 729 Lactarius specimens collected between 1960 and 2017 was performed using the internal transcribed spacer(ITS)region,partial nuclear ribosomal large subunit(nrLSU),partial second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II(rpb2),and minichromosome maintenance complex component 7(mcm7).49 Lactarius species were identified in three Lactarius subgenera:***(17 spp.),***(22 spp.),and ***(10 spp.).Among them,28 Lactarius species were identified as new to science,while just 17 were previously described Lactarius *** of the taxa remain un-named due to paucity of materials.A key to Korean Lactarius species,molecular phylogenies,a summary of diversity,and detailed description are provided.

BACKGROUND Changes in bowel function after right-sided colectomy are not well understood compared to those associated with left-sided colectomy or rectal *** particular,there are concerns about bowel function after right-sided colectomy with complete mesocolic excision,which has become popular in the *** To evaluate the functional outcomes of patients who underwent right-sided colectomy with D3 lymphadenectomy for colon *** Functional data from patients who underwent minimally invasive right-sided colectomy for colon cancer from October 2017 to September 2018 were prospectively *** outcomes were evaluated preoperatively and at 3,6,12,and 18 mo *** Prior to surgery,57 patients answered the questionnaire,and 47 responded at three months,52 at 6 mo,52 at 12 mo,and 25 at 18 mo *** scales of quality of life and bowel function improved significantly over *** persisted to a high degree throughout the period without a significant change over *** use of medications for defecation was about 10%over the entire ***(P=0.023)and fecal frequency(P<0.001)increased,and bowel dysfunction group(P=0.028)was more common among patients taking *** six months,resected bowel and colon lengths were significantly different as a risk factor between the dysfunction group and the no dysfunction group[odd ratio(OR):1.095,P=0.026;OR:1.147,P=0.031,respectively]in univariate analysis,but not in multivariate *** Despite D3 lymphadenectomy,most bowel symptoms improved over time after right-sided colectomy using a minimally invasive approach,and continuous medication was needed in only approximately 10%of patients.

During the past several decades,early rehabilitation programs for the care of patients with colorectal surgery have gained *** randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses have confirmed that the implementation of these evidence-based detailed perioperative care protocols is useful for early recovery of patients after colorectal *** cared for based on these protocols had a rapid recovery of bowel movement,shortened length of hospital stay,and fewer complications compared with traditional care ***,most of the previous evidence was obtained from studies of early rehabilitation programs adapted to open colonic ***,limited evidence exists on the effects of early rehabilitation after laparoscopic rectal resection,although this procedure seems to be associated with a higher morbidity than that reported with traditional *** this article,we review previous studies and guidelines on early rehabilitation programs in patients undergoing rectal *** investigated the status of early rehabilitation programs in rectal surgery and analyzed the limitations of these *** also summarized indications and detailed protocol components of current early rehabilitation programs after rectal surgery,focusing on laparoscopic resection.

A pin-on-disc wear apparatus was used to carry out the tribological experiment of brass to investigate the effect of a magnetorheological （MR） fluid on the interfacial surface with and without magnetic field. A series of tests were performed at the loads of 20-100 N and rotating speeds of 127-425 r/min for 2 h. The friction coefficient and wear rate were monitored by the wear apparatus, while the microstructures of the worn surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope （SEM）. In addition, the chemical composition of worn surfaces was analyzed by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS）. Test results show different friction and wear performance of the MR fluid with and without magnetic field. At the same time, the effects of various normal loads and rotating speeds on the tribological behavior were investigated. Through the investigation of the morphologies of the wom surfaces under the magnetic field, it is found that the MR particles are clearly evident on the wom surface and the plastic flow of ridges causes the lateral extrusion. This directly indicates that abrasive wear is the predominant wear mechanism observed with MR fluid.

AIM： To demonstrate bone marrow stromal cells （BMSCs） can be used as an attractive target for genetic modification in the treatment of malignant diseases. METHODS： Using a hamster model of biliary cancer, we investigated the therapeutic effects of interleukin-2 （IL-2） gene-modified BHSCs. Syrian golden hamsters were injected via the femoral vein with 5×10^5 cells of the KIGB-5 biliary cancer cell line （n=20）. One week later, the hamsters were injected intraperitoneally with BMSCs containing Ad/hIL-2 and Ad/△E1, unmodified BHSCs, or RPHI only （control） and observed for 12 wk （n=5/each group）. RESULTS： All hamsters treated with BMSCs containing Ad/hIL-2 survived with no evidence of the disease during this period. In contrast, hamsters in the other three groups showed disseminated metastases involving the lungs as eady as 4 wk.CONCLUSION： Ad/IL-2 therapy is effective in the treatment of biliary cancer.

Clinical outcomes of self-expandable metal stents in palliation of malignant anastomotic strictures caused by recurrent gastric cancer

AIM： To examine the technical feasibility and clinical outcomes of the endoscopic insertion of a selfexpandable metal stent （SEMS） for the palliation of a malignant anastomotic stricture caused by recurrent gastric cancer. METHODS： The medical records of patients, who had obstructive symptoms caused by a malignant anastomotic stricture after gastric surgery and underwent endoscopic insertion of a SEMS from January 2001 to December 2007 at Kangnam St Mary＇s Hospital, were reviewed retrospectively. RESULTS： Twenty patients （15 male, mean age 63 years） were included. The operations were a total gastrectomy with esophagojejunostomy （n = 12）, subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth-Ⅰ reconstruction （n = 2） and subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth- Ⅱ reconstruction （n = 8）. The technical and clinical success rates were 100% and 70%, respectively. A small bowel or colon stricture was the reason for a lack of improvement in symptoms in 4 patients. Two of these patients showed improvement in symptoms after another stent was placed. Stent reobstruction caused by tumor ingrowth or overgrowth occurred in 3 patients （15%） within 1 mo after stenting. Stent migration occurred with a covered stent in 3 patients who underwent a subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth-Ⅱ reconstruction. Two cases of partial stent migration were easily treated with a second stent or stent repositioning. The median stent patency was 56 d （range, 5-439 d）. The median survival was 83 d （range, 12-439 d）. CONCLUSION： Endoscopic insertion of a SEMS provides safe and effective palliation of a recurrent anastomotic stricture caused by gastric cancer, A meticulous evaluation of the presence of other strictures before inserting the stent is essential for symptom improvement.

In order to produce the fully equiaxed and fine grained pure Al, a simple casting process that used cooling slope was examined and compared with conventional casting process under same casting conditions. By using cooling slope, grains over the whole section of castings were suddenly refined and ability of grain refinement kept up at very high mold temperature up to 550癈 in examined casting conditions.
