Cloud Datacenter Network(CDN)providers usually have the option to scale their network structures to allow for far more resource capacities,though such scaling options may come with exponential costs that contradict their utility ***,besides the cost of the physical assets and network resources,such scaling may also imposemore loads on the electricity power grids to feed the added nodes with the required energy to run and cool,which comes with extra costs ***,those CDNproviders who utilize their resources better can certainly afford their services at lower price-units when compared to others who simply choose the scaling *** utilization is a quite challenging process;indeed,clients of CDNs usually tend to exaggerate their true resource requirements when they lease their *** providers are committed to their clients with Service Level Agreements(SLAs).Therefore,any amendment to the resource allocations needs to be approved by the clients *** this work,we propose deploying a Stackelberg leadership framework to formulate a negotiation game between the cloud service providers and their client *** this,the providers seek to retrieve those leased unused resources from their *** is not expected from the clients,and they may ask high price units to return their extra resources to the provider’s ***,to motivate cooperation in such a non-cooperative game,as an extension to theVickery auctions,we developed an incentive-compatible pricingmodel for the returned ***,we also proposed building a behavior belief function that shapes the way of negotiation and compensation for each *** to other benchmark models,the assessment results showthat our proposed models provide for timely negotiation schemes,allowing for better resource utilization rates,higher utilities,and grid-friend CDNs.

Combinations of metal and lanthanide oxides have been done through casted films for potential medical applications. In this regard, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide/chromium(Ⅲ) oxide/graphene oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based films nano-composites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing their utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide and chromium(Ⅲ) oxide have been merged as promising optical constituents due to their unique optical behavior. The structural and compositional examination of the studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman, and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). The Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exhibits a surface with a lower roughness degree owing to the presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)shows size reduction upon GO insertion to reach 1.2 μm as the average grain size, whilst Sm_(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less than 1 μm. As well, the polymeric nano-compositions exhibit variation in contact angle values that hit 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/PCL, and 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as the second lowest contact angle. The optical behavior contributes to absorption edge relocation along the x-axis from 1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Regarding biological responses, the cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m L of Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL shows cell viability of 119.31%, while 5 μg/m L hits 99.6%. Additionally, the resulting cell attachment micrographs show layers of fibroblast tissue, besides the proliferation and growth of cultivated cells. Thus, the Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3D proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing the wound healing process.

Epidemiological Analysis of Type II Diabetes Mellitus among Hail Residents, Saudi Arabia

Type II diabetes is a global health concern. This epidemic is elevating in increasing rates in Saudi Arabia. Thus, the study investigates a number of risk factors of Type II diabetes in Hail region, one of Saudi Arabia’s highest regions in diabetes records among adults. Data are collected using diabetic subjects from the Diabetes Registry Records in King Khalid Hospital at the city of Hail, Saudi Arabia, where 200 subjects’ records from 2014 to 2018 were included. A binary logistic regression was utilized to assess the association between age, gender, obesity, hypertension, family history, hypercholesterolemia, and hyperglyceridemia as risk factors and Type II diabetes. Some risk factors yielded statistical significant associations such as age (OR = 486.00 for 61 and older;OR = 468.00 for 51 - 60;and OR = 130.50 for 41 - 50;p-values ≤ 0.01), obesity (OR = 3.088;p-value ≤ 0.01), and hypertension (OR = 8.476;p-value ≤ 0.01), while gender, family history, hypercholesterolemia, and hyperglyceridemia were insignificant risk factors in our study. Proper intervention measures targeting diabetes risk factors may tackle or delay this public health issue.

Diabetes is a serious health condition that can cause several issues in human body organs such as the heart and kidney as well as a serious eye disease called diabetic retinopathy(DR).Early detection and treatment are crucial to prevent complete blindness or partial vision *** detection methods,which involve ophthalmologists examining retinal fundus images,are subjective,expensive,and ***,this study employs artificial intelligence(AI)technology to perform faster and more accurate binary classifications and determine the presence of *** this regard,we employed three promising machine learning models namely,support vector machine(SVM),k-nearest neighbors(KNN),and Histogram Gradient Boosting(HGB),after carefully selecting features using transfer learning on the fundus images of the Asia Pacific Tele-Ophthalmology Society(APTOS)(a standard dataset),which includes 3662 images and originally categorized DR into five levels,now simplified to a binary format:No DR and DR(Classes 1-4).The results demonstrate that the SVM model outperformed the other approaches in the literature with the same dataset,achieving an excellent accuracy of 96.9%,compared to 95.6%for both the KNN and HGB *** approach is evaluated by medical health professionals and offers a valuable pathway for the early detection of DR and can be successfully employed as a clinical decision support system.

Software Defined Network(SDN)and Network Function Virtualization(NFV)technology promote several benefits to network operators,including reduced maintenance costs,increased network operational performance,simplified network lifecycle,and policies *** vulnerabilities try to modify services provided by Network Function Virtualization MANagement and Orchestration(NFV MANO),and malicious attacks in different scenarios disrupt the NFV Orchestrator(NFVO)and Virtualized Infrastructure Manager(VIM)lifecycle management related to network services or individual Virtualized Network Function(VNF).This paper proposes an anomaly detection mechanism that monitors threats in NFV MANO and manages promptly and adaptively to implement and handle security functions in order to enhance the quality of experience for end *** anomaly detector investigates these identified risks and provides secure network *** enables virtual network security functions and identifies anomalies in Kubernetes(a cloud-based platform).For training and testing purpose of the proposed approach,an intrusion-containing dataset is used that hold multiple malicious activities like a Smurf,Neptune,Teardrop,Pod,Land,IPsweep,etc.,categorized as Probing(Prob),Denial of Service(DoS),User to Root(U2R),and Remote to User(R2L)*** anomaly detector is anticipated with the capabilities of a Machine Learning(ML)technique,making use of supervised learning techniques like Logistic Regression(LR),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF),Naïve Bayes(NB),and Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost).The proposed framework has been evaluated by deploying the identified ML algorithm on a Jupyter notebook in Kubeflow to simulate Kubernetes for validation *** classifier has shown better outcomes(99.90%accuracy)than other classifiers in detecting anomalies/intrusions in the containerized environment.

Analysis of SIRVI model with time dependent coefficients and the effect of vaccination on the transmission rate and COVID-19 epidemic waves

COVID-19 epidemic models with constant transmission rate cannot capture the patterns of the infection data in the presence of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions during a *** of this,a new modification of SIR model that contain the vaccination compartment with time dependent coefficients and weak/lossimmunity is *** review confirms that the effect of vaccination on the time dependent transmission rate is still an open *** study answers this open *** this study,we first prove the well-posedness and investigate the model dynamics to show their continuous dependence on the model *** then provide an algorithm to derive the time-dependent transmission function for the epidemiologic model and the data of the infected *** derived coupled nonlinear differential equations show the effect of vaccination on the transmission *** previous studies,we first filter the published data and solve the nonlinear coupled differential equations using the finite difference technique,where the coefficient of the coupled nonlinear differential equations is a function of given *** then show that time-dependent transmission function can be represented by linear combinations of Gaussian radial base *** then validate the prediction of our models using numerical simulations,where we used the published data of COVID-19 confirmed cases by the Ministries of Health in Saudi Arabia and ***,the numerical solutions of a SIRVI model with time dependent transmission rate show that the waves for currently active cases are in good agreement with the data of Saudi Arabia and Poland.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is one of the most lethal neoplasms worldwide and represents the vast majority of pancreatic cancer *** the molecular pathogenesis and the underlying mechanisms involved in the initiation,maintenance,and progression of PDAC is an urgent need,which may lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies against this deadly ***,we review the role of SET and MYND domaincontaining protein 2(SMYD2)in initiating and maintaining PDAC development through methylating multiple tumor suppressors and oncogenic *** the broad substrate specificity of SMYD2 and its involvement in diverse oncogenic signaling pathways in many other cancers,the mechanistic extrapolation of SMYD2 from these cancers to PDAC may allow for developing new hypotheses about the mechanisms driving PDAC tumor growth and metastasis,supporting a proposition that targeting SMYD2 could be a powerful strategy for the prevention and treatment of PDAC.

Bifurcation Analysis and Bounded Optical Soliton Solutions of the Biswas-Arshed Model

We investigate the bounded travelling wave solutions of the Biswas-Arshed model(BAM)including the low group velocity dispersion and excluding the self-phase *** integrate the nonlinear structure of the model to obtain bounded optical solitons which pass through the optical fibers in the non-Kerr *** bifurcation technique of the dynamical system is used to achieve the parameter bifurcation sets and split the parameter space into various areaswhich correspond to different phase *** bounded optical solitons and bounded periodic wave solutions are identified and derived conforming to each region of these phase *** also apply the extended sinh-Gordon equation expansion and the generalized Kudryashov integral schemes to obtain additional bounded optical soliton solutions of the BAM *** present more bounded optical shock waves,the bright-dark solitary wave,and optical rogue waves for the structure model via these schemes in different aspects.
