Rice stem borer(Chilo agamemnon Bles.)is a primary insect pest of rice and is a major limiting factor to rice *** for insect-resistant crop varieties has been an economic way of integrated pest management(IPM)as it offers a viable and ecologically acceptable *** study was aimed to evaluate rice genotypes for their resistance against rice stem *** parental genotypes with twenty one F1 crosses were evaluated for genotypic variation in field *** of variance revealed significant differences for the studied traits in almost all crosses and *** addition,the mean squares of parents versus their crosses were signifi-cant for stem borer resistance and other associated ***,both general combining ability(GCA)and specific combining ability(SCA)variances were highly significant for all characters studied in the F1 *** on GCA,4 genotypes(Sakha101,Gz6903-3-4-2-1,Gz9577-4-1-1 and Hassawi)exhibited highly significant negative values for stem borer resistance(–0.53,–1.06,–0.18 and–0.49,respectively)indicating they are the best combiners for stem borer *** on SCA analysis,nine cross combinations showed highly significant negative effects for stem borer ***,the cross Giza178Hassawi was the best combination with significantly highest value for early *** addition,seven crosses showed highly significant negative SCA for plant height *** the other hand,for panicle length,number of primary branches/panicle,panicle weight and 1000-grain weight,seven,four,eight and six crosses showed highly significant positive SCA,*** result further revealed that the non-additive dominance genetic variance was higher than the additive variance for all evaluated traits indicating that non-additive genetic variances have a role in their *** broad-sense heritability estimates were high for all the studied *** stem borer resistance was significantly correl

This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to biodiesel blends made from dairy milk scum on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al2O3nanoparticles in B20 blends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** number of blends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest（RF）and CatBoost) was used for the *** results show that in comparison to biodiesel blends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel blends with *** these Fuel blends have higher calorific *** blends exhibited reduced Brake Specific Fuel Consumption（BSFC） of2.85% than the blends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester Biodiesel 20%+neat Diesel 80%（in volume）,DSMEB20),57.14% less CO,40.8% less hydrocarbon,and increased nOxemissions compared to conventional diesel,contributing to the development of environmentally friendly and renewable biofuel blends with *** B20nP30 is the optimal blend for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced Brake Thermal Efficiency（BTE） of 26.29% in 3×10-5（in volume） Al2O3nanoparticle-blended DSME B20 and other DSME B20 fuel blends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures（BTE,BSFC）,and emissions（CO,CO2,nOx,Smoke） are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for BTE and BSFC shows that CatBoost-based BTE models perform superior to RF-based models during the training as well as testing *** results were obtained for CO and CO2emission results.

Constructing S-scheme 2D/0D g-C_(3)n_(4)/TiO_(2) nPs/MPs heterojunction with 2D-Ti3AlC2 MAX cocatalyst for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to CO/CH_(4) in fixed-bed and monolith photoreactors

Exfoliated 2D MAX Ti_(3) AlC_(2) conductive cocatalyst anchored with g-C_(3)n_(4)/TiO_(2) to construct 2D/0D/2D het-erojunction has been explored for enhanced CO_(2) photoreduction in a fixed-bed and monolith *** TiO_(2) particle sizes(nPs and MPs)were systematically investigated to determine effective metal-support interaction with faster charge carrier separation among the composite *** TiO_(2) nPs were anchored with 2D Ti_(3) AlC_(2) MAX structure,10.44 folds higher CH_(4) production was observed com-pared to anchoring TiO_(2) *** CH_(4) yield rate of 2103.5μmol g^(−1) h^(−1) achieved at selectivity 96.59%using ternary g-C_(3)n_(4)/TiO_(2)/Ti_(3) AlC_(2)2D/0D/2D composite which is 2.73 and 7.45 folds higher than using binary g-C_(3)n_(4)/Ti_(3) AlC_(2) MAX and TiO_(2) nPs/Ti_(3)AlC_(2) samples,respectively.A step-scheme(S-scheme)photocatalytic mechanism operates in this composite,suppressed the recombination of useful electron and holes and provides higher reduction potential for efficient CO_(2) conversion to CO and CH_(4).More im-portantly,when light intensity was increased by 5 folds,CH_(4) production rate was increased by 3.59 folds under visible *** performance of composite catalyst was further investigated in a fixed-bed and monolith photoreactor and found monolithic support increased CO production by 2.64 folds,whereas,53.99 times lower CH_(4) production was *** lower photocatalytic activity in a monolith photore-actor was due to lower visible light penetration into the ***,2D MAX Ti_(3) AlC_(2) composite catalyst can be constructed for selective photocatalytic CO_(2) methanation under visible light in a fixed-bed photoreactor.

Fe-Promoted Copper Oxide Thin-Film Catalysts for the Catalytic Reduction of n_(2)O in the Presence of Methane

Thin-film catalysts are recently recognized as promising catalysts due to their reduced amount of materials and good catalytic activity,leading to low-cost and high-efficiency catalysts.A series of CuFeO_(x)thin-film catalysts were prepared with different Fe contents using a one-step method as well as tested for the catalytic reduction of nitrous oxide(n_(2)O)in the presence of CH_(4)at a high GH SV of 185000 mL/(g·h).The increase of iron strongly affects the dispersion and leads to the creation of a less-active segregated Fe_(2)O_(3)phase,which was confirmed by XRD,EDX,and XPS *** results show that the synergistic properties between Cu and Fe,which affect the CuFeOxfilm catalysts in many aspects,such as the hollow-like texture,specific surface area,nano-crystallite size,the surface contents of Cu^(+),Fe^(3+),and oxygen species,the reductive strength and the strong active sites on the *** DFT calculations,the adsorption and decomposition energy profiles of n_(2)O on the CuFeO_(2)(012)surface model were *** surface Fe-site and hollow-site are active for n_(2)O decomposition,and the decomposition energy barriers on the Fe-site and the hollow-site are 1.02 eV and 1.25 eV respectively at 0 *** strategy adopted here to tailor the activity through low-doping Fe-oxide catalysts could establish a promising way to improve the catalytic reduction of n_(2)O with CH_(4).

Measurement of ^(59)Co(ai,x)reaction cross sections with the fast neutrons based on the ^(9)Be(p,n)reaction

The cross sections of the ^(59)Co(n,x)reaction in the average energy range of 15.2-37.2 MeV were meas-ured using activation and an off-line γ-ray spectrometric *** neutrons were generated from the ^(9)Be(p,n)reaction with proton beam energies of 25-45 MeV at the MC-50 Cyclotron facility of the Korean Institute of Radi-ological and Medical Sciences(KIRAMS).Theoretical cal lculations of neutron-induced reactions on ^(59)Co were per-formed using the nuclear model code *** results for the ^(59)Co(n,x)reactions were compared with the theoretical values obtained using TALYS-1.9 and the literature data provided in EXFOR and the TEnDL 2019 nuc-lear data *** theoretical values obtained using TALYS-1.9 with adjusted parameters are comparable to the experimental *** measured reaction cross sections of a few radionuclides are new,and the others are compar-able to the literature data,and thus,they can strengthen the *** present study on cross sections leads to useful insight into the mechanisms of ^(59)Co(n,x)reactions.

Traumatic brain injury is a global health crisis,causing significant death and disability *** that follows traumatic brain injury has serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive impairments,with astrocytes involved in this *** traumatic brain injury,astrocytes rapidly become reactive,and astrogliosis propagates from the injury core to distant brain *** astroglial proteins are downregulated near the traumatic brain injury core,while pro-inflammatory astroglial genes are *** altered gene expression is considered a pathological remodeling of astrocytes that produces serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive *** addition,glial scar formed by reactive astrocytes is initially necessary to limit immune cell infiltration,but in the long term impedes axonal reconnection and functional *** therapeutic strategies for traumatic brain injury are focused on preventing acute ***,cannabinoids,progesterone,beta-blockers,and cerebrolysin demonstrate neuroprotective benefits but most of them have not been studied in the context of *** this review,we discuss the cell signaling pathways activated in reactive astrocytes following traumatic brain injury and we discuss some of the potential new strategies aimed to modulate astroglial responses in traumatic brain injury,especially using cell-targeted strategies with miRnAs or lncRnA,viral vectors,and repurposed drugs.
