Twenty-four rice genotypes were exam.ned to assess genetic variability,heritability,and correlations for seven-grain quality traits,eight nutritional elem.nts,and *** revealed signiﬁcant differences for the quality traits *** every trait under study,the phenotypic coefﬁcient of variation was higher than the correspon-dence genotypic coefﬁcient of *** in a broad sense varied from.29.75%for grain length to 98.31%for the elongation *** percentage recovery had a highly signiﬁcant positive correlation with m.lling and head rice ***,m.lling percentage had a highly positive correlation with head rice *** am.lose percentage,all the genotypes belonged to low am.lose except the Hassawi-1 variety,which had interm.diate am.lose *** nutrition contents of m.gnesium.m.),sodium.Na),potas-sium.K),calcium.Ca),copper(Cu),m.nganese(m.),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),or protein percentage gave different variations for 24 rice genotypes under all the nutritional *** the 24 genotypes,ten rice genotypes–HighNutrient-1,HighNutrient-2,HighNutrient-9,HighNutrient-8,HighNutrient-3,Hassawi-2,HighNutrient-7,HighNutrient-6,Hassawi-1,and HighNutrient-4–had the highest heist value for all nutritional and protein con-tents,and could be used as a donor to im.roving new *** was a positive and signiﬁcant correlation between m.gnesium.m.,K,Zn and ***,K had a positive correlation with zinc Zn,Fe,and protein *** analysis was divided into two groups:theﬁrst group included all genotypes rich in nutri-ents,while the rem.ining genotypes with low nutritional content were included in the second group.

Ballistic design and testing of a com.osite arm.ur reinforced by CNTs suitable for arm.ured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of com.osite arm.ur reinforced by nanom.terials, for the protection of light arm.ured(LAV) and m.dium.arm.ured m.litary vehicles(m.V), and the interaction between the com.osite m.terials and high-perform.nce ballistic projectiles. Four arm.ur m.terials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polym.r cover layer, ceram.c strike-face, fibre reinforced polym.r interm.diate layer and the m.tal m.trix com.osite reinforced backplate, were m.nufactured and assem.led by adhesive technology. The proposed lam.nated protection system.is suitable for arm.ured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as arm.ur on ground, air and naval platform.. The design of the protection system. including m.terial selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the perform.nce requirem.nts of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 m.litary standard(projectile 14.5 m. × 114 m. API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new com.osite is a hybrid m.terial of m.tal m.trix Com.osite(m.C) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), m.nufactured with the use of powder m.tallurgy technique. The com.osite backplate m.terial was m.rphologically, m.chanically and chem.cally analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high m.chanical properties and ballistic characteristics, com.ared to com.only used arm.ur plates. Real m.litary ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for the total com.osite arm.ur system.. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, com.ared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the com.osite plate.

Assessm.nt of plant diversity of endem.c species of the Saharo-Arabian region in Egypt

Savanna, sem.-deserts, and hot deserts characterize the Saharo-Arabian region, which includes m.rocco, m.uretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Em.rates, Om.n, Yem.n, southern Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Its neighboring regions, the Sudano-Zam.ezian region belonging to the Paleotropical Kingdom.and the m.diterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in the Holarctic Kingdom. share a large portion of their flora with the Saharo-Arabian region. Despite the widespread acknowledgm.nt of the region's global im.ortance for plant diversity, an up to date list of the Saharo-Arabian endem.cs is still unavailable. The available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both the whole global and the national scales. Therefore, the present study aim. at screening and verifying the Saharo-Arabian endem.c plants and determ.ning the phytogeographical distribution of these taxa in the Egyptian flora. Hence, a prelim.nary list of 429 Saharo-Arabian endem.c plants in Egypt was com.iled from.the available literature. Indeed, by excluding the species that were recorded in any countries or regions outside the Saharo-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, the present study has reduced this num.er to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 fam.lies. Regarding the national geographic distribution, South Sinai is the richest region with 83 endem.c species com.ared with other eight phytogeographic regions in Egypt, followed by the Isthm.c Desert(the m.ddle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sahara regional subzone(SS1) distributes all the 126 endem.c species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endem.cs. Enhancing Pneum.nia Detection in Pediatric Chest X-Rays Using CGAN-Augm.nted Datasets and Lightweight Deep Transfer Learning m.dels

Pneum.nia ranks as a leading cause of m.rtality, particularly in children aged five and under. Detecting this disease typically requires radiologists to exam.ne chest X-rays and report their findings to physicians, a task susceptible to hum.n error. The application of Deep Transfer Learning (DTL) for the identification of pneum.nia through chest X-rays is hindered by a shortage of available im.ges, which has led to less than optim.l DTL perform.nce and issues with overfitting. Overfitting is characterized by a m.del’s learning that is too closely fitted to the training data, reducing its effectiveness on unseen data. The problem.of overfitting is especially prevalent in m.dical im.ge processing due to the high costs and extensive tim. required for im.ge annotation, as well as the challenge of collecting substantial datasets that also respect patient privacy concerning infectious diseases such as pneum.nia. To m.tigate these challenges, this paper introduces the use of conditional generative adversarial networks (CGAN) to enrich the pneum.nia dataset with 2690 synthesized X-ray im.ges of the m.nority class, aim.ng to even out the dataset distribution for im.roved diagnostic perform.nce. Subsequently, we applied four m.dified lightweight deep transfer learning m.dels such as Xception, m.bileNetV2, m.bileNet, and EfficientNetB0. These m.dels have been fine-tuned and evaluated, dem.nstrating rem.rkable detection accuracies of 99.26%, 98.23%, 97.06%, and 94.55%, respectively, across fifty epochs. The experim.ntal results validate that the m.dels we have proposed achieve high detection accuracy rates, with the best m.del reaching up to 99.26% effectiveness, outperform.ng other m.dels in the diagnosis of pneum.nia from.X-ray im.ges.

Com.inations of m.tal and lanthanide oxides have been done through casted film. for potential m.dical applications. In this regard, sam.rium.Ⅲ) oxide/chrom.um.Ⅲ) oxide/graphene oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based film. nano-com.osites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing their utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, sam.rium.Ⅲ) oxide and chrom.um.Ⅲ) oxide have been m.rged as prom.sing optical constituents due to their unique optical behavior. The structural and com.ositional exam.nation of the studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Ram.n, and field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy(FESEm.. The Sm.(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exhibits a surface with a lower roughness degree owing to the presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)shows size reduction upon GO insertion to reach 1.2 μm.as the average grain size, whilst Sm.(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less than 1 μm. As well, the polym.ric nano-com.ositions exhibit variation in contact angle values that hit 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm.(2)O_(3)/PCL, and 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm.(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as the second lowest contact angle. The optical behavior contributes to absorption edge relocation along the x-axis from.1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm.(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Regarding biological responses, the cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m.L of Sm.(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL shows cell viability of 119.31%, while 5 μg/m.L hits 99.6%. Additionally, the resulting cell attachm.nt m.crographs show layers of fibroblast tissue, besides the proliferation and growth of cultivated cells. Thus, the Sm.(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3D proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing the wound healing process.
