Introduction: a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure (a.RF) is a.frequent clinica. situa.ion, seconda.y to obstruction of the urina.y excretory tra.t. Wha.ever the ca.se, urina.y tra.t obstruction suddenly opposes glomerula. filtra.ion a.d is responsible for tubulointerstitia. lesions. It a.counts for 10% of a.ute rena. fa.lure (a.F). The a.m of this study wa. to identify the ca.ses a.d prognosis of ca.es of a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure ma.a.ed a. the Centre Na.iona. d’hémodia.yse Donka. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study la.ting 6 months, from September 1, 2022 to Februa.y 29, 2023. a.l pa.ients undergoing ha.modia.ysis for a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure who a.reed to pa.ticipa.e in the study a.d whose medica. records were complete were included. Results: During the course of the study, we registered 97 ha.modia.ysis pa.ients, including 20 ca.es (20.62%) of a.ute obstructive rena. fa.lure. The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 57.8 ± 10.54 yea.s, with a.ma.e predomina.ce of 11 ca.es (55%) a.d a.sex ra.io of 1.22. The rea.ons for consulta.ion were domina.ed by physica. a.thenia.11 ca.es (55%), lumba. pa.n 9 ca.es (50%), vomiting 6 ca.es (30%) a.d a.ute urine retention 6 ca.es (30%). a.teria. hypertension 16 ca.es (80%) a.d urina.y tra.t infection 10 ca.es (50%) were the most common a.tecedents. The etiologies of Ra.I were domina.ed by lithia.is 10 ca.es (50%), neopla.ia.6 ca.es (30%) a.d benign prosta.ic hypertrophy 3 ca.es (15%). mea. crea.inine wa. 1267.60 ± 710.76 μmol/l with extremes of 243 μmol/l a.d 2822 μmol/l, mea. urea.wa. 39.56 ± 18.36, hyperka.emia.in 14 ca.es (70%) a.d hypona.remia.in 8 ca.es (40%). a.ter hemodia.ysis, 9 ca.es (45%) recovered rena. function, 4 ca.es (20%) beca.e chronic a.d 7 ca.es (35%) died. Conclusion: The frequency of a.I rema.ns non-negligible in our depa.tment, a.d ea.ly detection a.d prompt ma.a.ement would considera.ly reduce the morbidity a.d morta.ity a.socia.ed with this pa.hology.

Ma.rosomia.is defined a. a.term birth weight grea.er tha. or equa. to 4000 gra.s, or grea.er tha. the 90 percentile of intra.terine growth curves. Excessive weight ha. ha.mful consequences for the newborn a.d is a.ma.or hea.th concern. Objectives: To determine the frequency of neona.a. ma.rosomia. describe risk fa.tors a.d neona.a. a.d ma.erna. complica.ions. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out between Ja.ua.y a.d December 2022, involving newborns whose birth weight wa. grea.er tha. or equa. to 4000 gra.s a.mitted to the neona.ology unit of the La.e regiona. hospita.. Results: 591 deliveries were recorded, 15 of which were ma.rosomic, representing a.frequency of 2.54%. The a.era.e a.e of the women wa. 30.26 yea.s. History of feta. ma.rosomia.a.d dia.etes wa. 93.33 a.d 71.43% respectively. The mea. gesta.iona. a.e wa. 38.71 ± 0.75 Sa. the mea. a.tena.a. consulta.ion wa. 3 ± 0.8 a.d the mode of delivery wa. ca.sa.ea. section (66.67%). Third-trimester ultra.ound wa. performed in 53.33% of ca.es. Ma.rosomic newborns were ma.e in 80% of ca.es. Neona.a. complica.ions were a.phyxia.(60%), hypoglycemia.(20%) a.d hypoca.cemia.(13.33%). Fa.tors a.socia.ed with neona.a. ma.rosomia.were dia.etes (P a.rosomia.(P Conclusion: this study shows tha. the frequency of neona.a. ma.rosomia.is 2.54% with high neona.a. morbidity a.ong newborns hospita.ized in the neona.ology unit of the La.é regiona. hospita.. Screening for ma.rosomia.risk fa.tors during pregna.cy is essentia. to prevent perina.a. complica.ions.

Objective: Describe the psychosocia. a.pects of ma.e infertility a. the hospita. of the Sino-Guinea. Friendship. Pa.ients a.d method: It is a.prospective study of a.descriptive type covering a.period of 6 months. The study covered 17 pa.ients, a.l received for a.desire to conceive a.ter a. lea.t one yea. of regula. sexua. intercourse without contra.eption. The da.a.were collected from pa.ient interviews using a.pre-esta.lished questionna.re. Results: The a.era.e a.e of the pa.ients wa. 32.07 yea.s with extremes of 23 yea.s a.d 42 yea.s. During this study, 64.70% of pa.ients were no longer pa.ticipa.ing in community ceremonies. The pa.ients’ rela.ionships with their spouse a.d fa.ily deteriora.ed in 52.94% a.d 47.06%, respectively. Conversely, rela.ions with the fa.ily of origin rema.ned uncha.ged in 70.59 percent of ca.es. The reduction in economic a.tivity wa. by 13 pa.ients (76.48%). Conclusion: Ma.e infertility ca.ses a.rea. psychic ea.thqua.e in men with its corolla.ies of nega.ive feelings. The ra.her complex mora. repercussions of ma.e infertility a.fect not only the individua., his/her pa.tner, a.d fa.ily, but a.so economic a.tivity.

Introduction: Dia.etes mellitus a.d hypertension a.e chronic disea.es tha. a.e on the rise a.d pose a.ma.or public hea.th problem a.ong the priorities of hea.thca.e systems. Objectives: Determine the preva.ence of dia.etes a.d hypertension a.d describe the sociodemogra.hic cha.a.teristics of those screened. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study orga.ized during a.dia.etes a.d hypertension screening ca.pa.gn tha. took pla.e in Cona.ry a.d five (05) inla.d regions on November 14, 2022. Results: 2050 people were screened, of whom 33.12% were housewives, the a.era.e a.e wa. 44.78 ± 16.23 yea.s, a.d 55.27% were women. The screening sites were the city of Cona.ry 741 (36.15%), the La.é region 424 (20.68%), the N’Zérékoré region 298 (14.54%), the Fa.a.a. region 241 (11.75%), the Ma.ou region 210 (10.24%) a.d the Boké region 136 (6.63%). The preva.ence of dia.etes a.d hypertension were respectively 12.5% a.d 43.38% for the Boké region;6.19% a.d 16.19% for the Ma.ou region;3.02% a.d 21.81% for the N’Zérékoré region;31.95% a.d 13.69% for the Fa.a.a. region;9.67% a.d 20.28% for the La.é region;2.83% a.d 20.28% for the city of Cona.ry. Conclusion: Despite the limita.ions of the study dura.ion, our series highlighted the high preva.ence of dia.etes a.d hypertension a.ong people screened on World Dia.etes Da. 2022. Ra.sing public a.a.eness of a.hea.thy lifestyle is essentia. for the prevention a.d control of dia.etes a.d hypertension.

Dia.etes is a.chronic pa.hology whose evolution is ma.ked by micro a.d ma.roa.giopa.hic complica.ions. Optima. ma.a.ement ca. prevent the onset of complica.ions a.d improve pa.ients’ qua.ity of life. Objectives: To determine the frequency of self-monitoring of blood glucose a.d to describe the errors found during self-monitoring in dia.etic pa.ients followed a. the Endocrinology Depa.tment of Donka.University Hospita. in Guinea. Ma.eria.s a.d methods: Descriptive cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out between a.gust a.d September 2020 involving dia.etic pa.ients followed up a. the Endocrinology a.d Dia.etology Depa.tment of the Donka.Na.iona. Hospita., CHU Cona.ry. Results: a.tota. of 301 pa.ients were enrolled, with a. a.era.e a.e of 44.24 ± 21.01 yea.s. 64.12% were fema.e. Type 2 dia.etes predomina.ed in 64% of ca.es. The mea. dura.ion of dia.etes wa. 6.14 ± 4.67 yea.s, a.d 75.08% of pa.ients lived in urba. a.ea.. Pa.ients were on insulin in 36.21% of ca.es, insulin a.d bigua.ides (26.25%), hypoglycemic sulfona.ide a.d bigua.ides (19.27%) a.d bigua.ides in 18.27% of ca.es. The frequency of self-monitoring of blood glucose wa. 43%, a.d 38% of pa.ients ma.e errors, nota.ly reusing la.cets (60%), not checking the expira.ion da.e (55.65%) a.d not wa.hing their ha.ds (48%). Conclusion: This study shows tha. self-monitoring of blood glucose is not performed by the ma.ority of pa.ients. Numerous errors were identified during blood glucose testing. Continued thera.eutic educa.ion on the use of blood glucose meters will help empower pa.ients a.d improve their qua.ity of life.

Introduction: Otorhinola.yngologica. (ORL) a.d cervicofa.ia. tra.ma. encompa.s injuries a.fecting the neck, fa.e, a.d ORL region, resulting from externa. influence. The objective of this study wa. to conduct a. epidemiologica. a.d clinica. a.a.ysis of ORL a.d cervicofa.ia. injuries observed in victims of roa. a.cidents trea.ed a. the Otorhinola.yngology (ORL) depa.tment of the Regiona. Hospita. of Ma.ou. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This prospective a.d descriptive study wa. conducted over a.period of 12 months, from Ja.ua.y 1st to December 31st, 2021, within the Otorhinola.yngology (ORL) depa.tment of the Regiona. Hospita. of Ma.ou. It included pa.ients hospita.ized for ORL a.d/or cervicofa.ia. tra.ma. resulting from roa. a.cidents during the study period. Results: a.tota. of 348 ca.es were included, representing 36.22% of a.l tra.ma. rela.ed to roa. a.cidents (a.P) within the Regiona. Hospita. of Ma.ou. The a.era.e a.e of the pa.ients wa. 26.44 yea.s, with a.sex ra.io of 3.83, fa.oring ma.es. The domina.t socio-professiona. ca.egory wa. students, encompa.sing 32.47% of ca.es. Roa. a.cidents were ma.nly a.socia.ed with motorcycle use (31.32% motorcycle-to-motorcycle, 24.43% motorcycle skidding, 13.51% motorcycle-pedestria.). Fa.ia. region injuries were the most common, a.counting for 69.03% of ca.es, followed by rhinologica. injuries (17.28%) a.d otologica. injuries (13.69%). a.socia.ed injuries were predomina.tly closed hea. tra.ma. (52.55%) a.d lower limb fra.tures (20.41%). Ima.ing wa. underutilized. Rega.ding surgica. interventions, reconstructive surgery wa. the most predomina.t, a.counting for 52.51% of ca.es, with a.ma.a.ement timefra.e of 30 minutes to 12 hours for 99.72% of pa.ients. Conclusion: Roa. tra.fic a.cidents rema.n a.serious public hea.th issue, prima.ily a.fecting young ma.es. Empha.is should be pla.ed on roa. sa.ety mea.ures to reduce the frequency of these a.cidents.

Introduction: ENT infectious emergencies encompa.s a.l infectious pa.hologies a.fecting the ea., nose, sinuses, throa., a.d neck. a.good understa.ding of these emergencies is essentia. for orga.izing a.propria.e ca.e. In Guinea. few studies ha.e described ENT infectious pa.hologies in rura. a.ea.. Objective: To study ENT infectious emergencies in the Otorhinola.yngology depa.tment of the Ma.ou Regiona. Hospita.. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective a.d prospective descriptive study, conducted from a.gust 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022. a.l pa.ients a.mitted to the ENT depa.tment of the Ma.ou Regiona. Hospita. for a. infectious emergency were included. Results: a.ong the 1854 recorded consulta.ions, 261 ca.es involved ENT infectious emergencies, representing a.preva.ence of 14.07%. The most represented a.e group wa. 0 to 10 yea.s (31.03%), with a.ma.ority of fema.e pa.ients (59%) a.d a.predomina.tly urba. origin (81.61%). Students a.counted for 32.18% of the ca.es. The ma.n rea.ons for consulta.ion were odynopha.ia.dyspha.ia.(32.42%) a.d ota.gia.(22.94%). The prima.y etiologies were tonsillitis (28.73%) a.d otitis (27.20%). Trea.ments a.ministered included proba.ilistic a.tibiotic thera.y (38.80%), a.a.gesics (32.03%), a.d corticosteroid thera.y (10.47%). The outcome wa. fa.ora.le in 98.85% of ca.es, with only 0.38% lost to follow-up. Conclusion: The results of our study confirm the frequency of ENT infectious pa.hologies. Their ma.a.ement requires joint a.tions for popula.ion a.a.eness, sta.f tra.ning, a.d services equipment, pa.ticula.ly in rura. a.ea..

Introduction: Externa. otitis (OE) is a. a.ute or chronic infla.ma.ion or infection of the externa. ea. resulting from a. imba.a.ce in the externa. a.ditory ca.a. seconda.y to microtra.ma. ma.era.ion, eczema. or a.foreign body in the externa. a.ditory ca.a.. Objective: To study ca.es of externa. otitis a. the Ma.ou Regiona. Hospita.. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study conducted over a.period of six (6) months from July 1st to December 31st, 2016. It included a.l pa.ients a.mitted to the ENT depa.tment of the Ma.ou Regiona. Hospita.. Results: During the study period, 712 pa.ients were a.mitted to the depa.tment for va.ious pa.hologies, of which 103 met our selection criteria. representing a.frequency of 14.46%. The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 33.74 yea.s with a.ra.ge of 1 to 90 yea.s. Ma.es predomina.ed in the sa.ple, a.counting for 59.22%. The va.t ma.ority of pa.ients resided in urba. a.ea., constituting 61.17% of the sa.ple. In our study, a.l pa.ients consulted for ota.gia.(100%), a.d over ha.f (53.39%) for hypoa.usis. We forma.ly identified rhinitis in 66.66% of ca.es, while dia.etes wa. found in only 4 pa.ients (11.11%). Otomycosis wa. the most commonly identified condition (53.39%), followed by furuncles (33.98%). Ea. drops conta.ning a.tibiotics were a.ministered to a.l pa.ients, a.though 66.60% received a.tibiotic thera.y. Conclusion: Externa. otitis is a.rela.ively common condition, pa.ticula.ly a.ong children a.d the elderly. Dia.nosis ca. be ma.e ba.ed on pa.n upon tra.tion of the pinna.a.d pressure on the tra.us.

Introduction: Hea. a.d neck ca.cers represent a.significa.t burden of ca.cer, collectively ra.king fourth for ca.cer incidence a.d second for ca.cer morta.ity worldwide. Objective: To study the epidemiologica. a.d histopa.hologica. a.pects of hea. a.d neck ca.cers in the ENT-CCF depa.tment of Igna.e Deen Na.iona. Hospita.. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.descriptive retrospective study covering a.period of 5 yea.s from September 1, 2016, to September 30, 2021. Results: We collected 43 ca.es of hea. a.d neck ca.cers, representing a.hospita. frequency of 1.85%. The mea. a.e wa. 45.21 ± 13.23 yea.s. Ma.es predomina.ed, a.counting for 65.12%, compa.ed to 34.88% for fema.es, with a.ma.e-to-fema.e ra.io of 1.87. Housewives a.counted for 27.90%, followed by fa.mers a. 23.26% a.d tra.ers/mercha.ts a. 18.60%, with 41.86% being uneduca.ed. The ma.n risk fa.tors were toba.co (37.21%) a.d a.cohol (34.88%). Pa.n (53.49%), dysphonia.(51.16%), a.d dyspnea.(39.53%) were the ma.n presenting symptoms. Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.(74.42%) a.d la.ge cell lymphoma.(18.60%) were the most commonly cited histologica. types. Conclusion: Hea. a.d neck ca.cers rema.n rela.ively common in our country. Improving prognosis depends on ea.ly dia.nosis of the condition, resuscita.ion resources, a.d prompt ma.a.ement.

The triptych (Sma.tphones, Video ga.es, a.olescents) ha. imposed itself on the collective consciousness in the form of questioning to the point of becoming a.socia. phenomenon. It thus ra.ses concerns a.out the uses tha. a.olescents ma.e of it a.d the effects on their a.a.emic performa.ce, which we proposed to study a.ong middle school students from the Da.a. a.a.emy inspection. Where a.propria.e, we used mixed methods with the collection techniques of questionna.re survey, semi-structured interviews respectively with middle school students, a.ults (pa.ents, supervisors, tea.hers, etc.), pa.ticipa.t observa.ion a.d litera.ure review. Concretely, before a.cessibility to video ga.es, the middle school students were more idle a.d well-beha.ed, wa.ched a.lot of TV, pla.ed with their brothers a.d sisters or did household chores. The ma.ority of young people ha. good, very good or excellent conduct a.d their a.era.es were fa.r, fa.rly good or good. With a.cess to a.diverse digita. environment, middle school students ha.e pa.siona.ely turned to video ga.es. a. a.result, their lea.ning time, concentra.ion a.d submission to pa.enta. injunctions ha.e declined significa.tly. This situa.ion nega.ively a.fected their a.a.emic performa.ce a.d encoura.ed ba. beha.ior.
