Pancreatic cancer currently has no subtypes that inform clinical decisions;hence,there exists an opportunity to rearrange the morphological and molecular taxonomy that guides a better understanding of tumor ***,accumulating studies to date have revealed the large-duct type variant,a unique subtype of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDA)with cystic *** subtype often radiographically mimics intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms(IPMNs)and involves multiple small cysts occasionally associated with solid ***“bunch-of-grapes”sign,an imaging characteristic of IPMNs,is absent in large-duct ***-duct PDA defines the mucin profile,and genetic alterations are useful in distinguishing large-duct PDA from ***,neoplastic ducts measure over 0.5 mm,forming large ductal *** to classic PDAs,this subtype is frequently accompanied by perineural invasion and abundant desmoplastic reactions,and KRAS mutations in codon 12 are nearly *** such morphological similarities with IPMNs,the prognosis of large-duct PDA is equivalent to that of classic *** diagnosis is therefore essential.

Strategic materials design is essential for the development of small-diameter,tissue-engineered vascular ***-assembled nanofibers of elastin-like polypeptides represent promising vascular graft components as they replicate the organized elastin structure of native blood ***,the bioactivity of nanofibers can be modified by the addition of functional peptide *** the present study,we describe the development of a novel nanofiber-forming elastin-like polypeptide(ELP)with an arginine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid-valine(REDV)*** biological characteristics of the REDV-modified ELP nanofibers relevant to applications in vascular grafting were compared to ELP without ligands for integrin,ELP with arginine-glycine-aspartic acid(RGD)sequence,collagen and cell culture *** them,REDV-modified ELP nanofibers met the preferred biological properties for vascular graft materials,i.e.(i)inhibition of platelet adhesion and activation,(ii)endothelial cell adhesion and proliferation and(iii)maintenance of smooth muscle cells in a contractile phenotype to prevent cell *** results indicate that REDV-modified ELP nanofibers represent promising candidates for the further development of small-diameter vascular grafts.

One of important challenges in condensed-matter physics is to realize new quantum states of matter by manipulating the dimensionality of materials,as represented by the discovery of high-temperature superconductivity in atomic-layer pnictides and room-temperature quantum Hall effect in *** sition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)provide a fertile platform for exploring novel quantum phenomena accompanied by the dimensionality change,since they exhibit a variety of electronic/magnetic states owing to quantum *** we report an anomalous metal-i nsulator transition in duced by three-dimensional(3D)-two-dimensional(2D)crossover in mono layer 1T-VSe2 grown on bilayer *** observed a complete insulating state with a finite energy gap on the entire Fermi surface in monolayer 1T-VSe2 at low temperatures,in sharp contrast to metallic nature of *** surprisingly,monolayer 1T-VSe2 exhibits a pseudogap with Fermi arc at temperatures above the charge-density-wave temperature,showing a close resemblanee to high-temperature *** similarity suggests a common underlying physics between two apparently different systems,pointing to the importance of charge/spin fluctuations to create the novel electronic states,such as pseudogap and Fermi arc,in these materials.

This paper proposes a quadrant glitch compensation method to achieve nanometer-level accuracy of contouring control for a feed drive system using linear ball *** proposed method is a combination of a modified disturbance observer(“disturbance suppressor”)and an improved repetitive control *** motion tests with 1 mm amplitude and 0.1 Hz driving frequency were conducted using a single-axis feed drive system to verify the quadrant glitch compensation ability of this ***,the repeatability of the quadrant glitches in the experimental system was verified,which is the most important characteristic required for compensation via repetitive ***,by applying the combination of disturbance suppressor and conventional repetitive control,the amplitudes of the quadrant glitches were decreased to less than 1 nm;in other words,the ratio of the magnitude of the quadrant glitch to the amplitude of the position reference was less than 1/1,000,***,for both compensation schemes mentioned before,vibrations were generated when the feed speed ***,the amplitudes increased with the number of *** reason for the vibrations was identified as the repetitive control *** suppress these vibrations,the repetitive control was applied only to narrowed regimes near the quadrant ***,the maximum contouring error was decreased to 2 *** addition,the nonlinear spring behavior of the linear ball guides was confirmed to affect the stability of the control systems.

The aim of this investigation was to improve power performance of Savonius hydraulic turbine utilizing small stream for electric *** attempt was made to increase the power coefficient of runner by the use of flat shield plate placed upstream of the *** difference of the power coefficient is discussed in relation to clearance between the runner and the bottom wall and the rotation direction of the *** flow field around the runner was also examined visually to clarify influences of setting conditions on the power *** this study it was found that the power coefficient is achieved for 0.47 by only using a flat shield plate,the increase is up to 80% over the runner without the ***,it is the proper condition that clearance ratio is 0.73 in this study.

The aim of this paper is to give a simple proof of the restriction theorem for the maximal operators on the d-dimensional Euclidean space Ra, whose theorem was proved by Carro-Rodriguez in 2012. Moreover, we shall give some remarks of the restriction theorem for the linear and the multilinear operators by Carro-Rodriguez and Rodriguez, too.

Ag/γ-Al2O3 is a kind of promising catalyst with the relatively lower cost compared with those using noble metals,good resistance against catalytic poisoning and excellent behaviour for NOx *** the present study,Ag/γ-Al2O3 catalysts were synthesized by the solvothermal process and characterized by XRD,TG?DTA,TEM,UV?Vis and FT?*** was found that high-performance Ag/γ-Al2O3 catalysts could be synthesized by properly selecting starting materials,controlling the composition of solvent and other reaction *** microstructure evolution of the catalysts was also discussed.

Esophageal diverticula are rare conditions that cause esophageal symptoms, such as dysphagia, regurgitation, and chest pain. They are classified according to their location and characteristic pathophysiology into three types: epiphrenic diverticulum, Zenker's diverticulum, and Rokitansky diverticulum. The former two disorders take the form of protrusions, and symptomatic cases require interventional treatment. However, the esophageal anatomy presents distinct challenges to surgical resection of the diverticulum, particularly when it is located closer to the oral orifice. Since the condition itself is not malignant,minimally invasive endoscopic approaches have been developed with a focus on alleviation of symptoms. Several types of endoscopic devices and techniques are currently employed, including peroral endoscopic myotomy(POEM). However,the use of minimally invasive endoscopic approaches, like POEM, has allowed the development of new disorder called iatrogenic esophageal diverticula. In this paper, we review the pathophysiology of each type of diverticulum and the current state-of-the-art treatment based on our experience.

Due not only to a dominant role of the US dollar in regional trade and financial transactions but also to de facto US dollar pegged exchange rate policy,Asian countries cannot avoid exchange rate risks between their own currency and the US *** recent years,however,the Chinese government has actively promoted the Renminbi(RMB)internationalisation especially in intermational *** December 2015,China introduced a new exchange rate index against a basket of 13 trade-weighted currencies,which can be considered a major turning point from the US dollar standard toward a more flexible currency basket ***,the estimated implicit basket weights reveal that several Asian economies still tend to stabilise their currencies against the US dollar,while Malaysia and Singapore have stabilised their currencies against RMB in recent *** the internationalisation of local currencies and regional monetary arrangements are typically facilitated with each other,further progress of RMB internationalisation is expected to promote a leading role of China in establishing regional exchange rate policy coordination.
