Synthesis and characterization of a novel schiff base metal complexes and their application in determination of iron in different types of natural water

A novel, simple approach to the synthesis of macrocyclic Schiff base ligand resulted from the condensation of bisaldehyde and ethylenediamine was prepared (7, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18-hexahydrodibenzo (a, g) (14) annulene) (L) and its complexes were synthesized and characterized using different physicochemical studies as elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1h NmR, conductivity, magnetic properties, thermal analysis, and their biological activities. The spectroscopic data of the complexes suggest their 1:1 complexe structures which are investigated by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1h NmR, conductivity, magnetic properties, thermal analysis, and their biological activities. The spectroscopic studies suggested the octahedral structure for the all complexes. The spectroscopic data of the complexes suggest their structure in which (N2O2) group act as a tetradentate ligand and two chlorides as monodentate ligands. Also electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate octahedral structure of these complexes. The synthesized Schiff base and its metal complexes also were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity. here we report the effect of a neutral chelating ligand on the complexation with iron to determine it in different types of natural water using recovery test. The activity data show that the metal complexes to be more potent/ antibacterial than the parent Schiff base ligand against one or more bacterial species.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(mDA),glutathione(GSh),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pmerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Side lobe level reduction(SLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOS)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up to ***,it improves the array gain and directivity,increasing the detection range and angular resolution of radar *** study proposes two highly efficient SLL reduction *** techniques are based on the hybridization between either the single convolution or the double convolution algorithms and the genetic algorithm(GA)to develop the Conv/GA andDConv/GA,*** convolution process determines the element’s excitations while the GA optimizes the element *** m elements linear antenna array(LAA),the convolution of the excitation coefficients vector by itself provides a new vector of excitations of length N=(2m−1).This new vector is divided into three different sets of excitations including the odd excitations,even excitations,and middle excitations of lengths m,m−1,andm,*** the same element spacing as the original LAA is used,it is noticed that the odd and even excitations provide a much lower SLL than that of the LAA but with amuch wider half-power beamwidth(hPBW).While the middle excitations give the same hPBWas the original LAA with a relatively higher *** the increased hPBWof the odd and even excitations,the element spacing is optimized using the ***,the synthesized arrays have the same hPBW as the original LAA with a two-fold reduction in the ***,for extreme SLL reduction,the DConv/GA is *** this technique,the same procedure of the aforementioned Conv/GA technique is performed on the resultant even and odd excitation *** provides a relatively wider hPBWthan the original LAA with about quad-fold reduction in the SLL.

BACKGROUND Type 2 diabetes is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide,significantly impacting patients'quality of *** treatment options like metformin(mET)effectively counteract hyperglycemia but fail to alleviate diabetes-associated complications such as retinopathy,neuropathy,nephropathy,hepatopathy,and cardiovascular *** To propose the supplementation of cholecalciferol(ChO)and taurine(TAU)to enhance mET efficacy in controlling diabetes while minimizing the risk of associated *** The study involved sixty rats,including ten non-diabetic control rats and fifty experimental rats with type 2 diabetes induced by *** experimental rats were further subdivided into positive control and treatment *** four treatment groups were randomly allocated to a single mET treatment or mET combined with supplements either ChO,TAU,or *** Diabetic rats exhibited elevated levels of glucose,insulin,homeostasis model Assessment of Insulin Resistance(hOmA-IR),glycated hemoglobin percentage,lipid markers,aspartate aminotransferase,and malondialdehyde,along with reduced levels of antioxidant enzymes(catalase and superoxide dismutase).The administration of ChO and TAU supplements alongside mET in diabetic rats led to a noticeable recovery of islet *** antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and anti-apoptotic properties of the proposed combination therapy significantly ameliorated the aforementioned *** The supplementation of ChO and TAU with mET showed the potential to significantly improve metabolic parameters and protect against diabetic complications through its antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and antiapoptotic effects.

Objective:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)requires comprehensive *** nursing protocols may enhance outcomes,but evidence is *** study evaluated the effect of a structured nursing protocol on RA *** and methods:In this one-group pre-post study,30 Egyptian RA patients completed assessments before and after a 12-week nursing protocol comprising education,psychosocial support,and self-management *** included clinical evaluation of joint counts,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),and C-reactive protein(CRP)and patient-reported Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale(ASES),health Assessment Questionnaire(hAQ),Visual Analog Scale(VAS)for pain,and hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(hADS).Results:The study demonstrated significant improvements in both clinical-and patient-reported *** count decreased from 18.4±4.2 to 14.2±3.8(Pm 30.1±6.8 mm/h to 25.5±6.8 mm/h(Pm 15.2±3.6 mg/L to 11.8±2.9 mg/L(Pmes showed a marked increase in ASES score from 140±25 to 170±30(PhAQ from 1.6±0.4 to 1.3±0.3(Pm 7.8±1.7 to 6.2±1.2(PhADS anxiety and depression scores from 11±3 to 8±2(Pmproved clinical disease activity,physical functioning,pain,self-efficacy,and emotional well-being in RA patients.A multifaceted nursing intervention appears beneficial for optimizing RA outcomes.

There is shortage of organs,including kidneys,*** with deceased kidney transplantation,there is a significant rise in live kidney *** prevalence of prediabetes(PD),including impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance,is on the rise across the *** teams frequently come across prediabetic kidney donors for *** are at risk of diabetes,chronic kidney disease,cardiovascular events,stroke,neuropathy,retinopathy,dementia,depression and nonalcoholic liver disease along with increased risk of all-cause ***,most of the studies done in prediabetic kidney donors are retrospective in nature and have a short follow up *** is lack of prospective long-term studies to know about the real risk of complications after ***,there are variations in recommendations from various guidelines across the globe for donations in prediabetics,leading to more confusion among *** increases the responsibility of transplant teams to take appropriate decisions in the best interest of both donors and *** review focuses on pathophysiological changes of PD in kidneys,potential complications of PD,other risk factors for development of type 2 diabetes,a review of guidelines for kidney donation,the potential role of diabetes risk score and calculator in kidney donors and the way forward for the evaluation and selection of prediabetic kidney donors.
