Genome-wide association mapping studies(GWAS)based on big Data are a potential approach to improve marker-assisted selection in plant *** number of available phenotypic and genomic data sets in which medium-sized populations of several hundred individuals have been studied is rapidly *** these data and using them in GWAS could increase both the power of QTL discovery and the accuracy of estimation of underlying genetic effects,but is hindered by data heterogeneity and lack of *** this study,we used genomic and phenotypic data sets,focusing on Central European winter wheat populations evaluated for heading *** explored strategies for integrating these data and subsequently the resulting potential for *** interoperability between data sets was greatly aided by some overlapping genotypes and a linear relationship between the different phenotyping protocols,resulting in high quality integrated phenotypic *** this context,genomic prediction proved to be a suitable tool to study relevance of interactions between genotypes and experimental series,which was low in our *** to expectations,fewer associations between markers and traits were found in the larger combined data than in the individual experimental ***,the predictive power based on the marker-trait associations of the integrated data set was higher across data ***,the results show that the integration of medium-sized to big Data is an approach to increase the power to detect QTL in *** results encourage further efforts to standardize and share data in the plant breeding community.

From a library of five crown ether macrocycles with different ring sizes and redox-active moieties,such as tetrathiafulvalene(TTF)and naphthalene dimiide(NDI),directional heterocircuit[3]rotaxanes were *** an axle with two binding sites with different steric accessibility,the concept of integrative self-sorting was applied to program the sequence of functional units in heteropseudo[3]*** on binding strength and ring size of the smaller macrocycles,different heteropseudo[3]rotaxane selectivities and stabilities were determined by 2D NMR spectroscopy and tandem mass spectrometry.A heteropseudo[3]rotaxane with rotaxane-like behaviour was isolated chromatographically,displaying electrochemically“frustrated”properties.A robust synthetic procedure was developed allowing the synthesis of four new hetero[3]rotaxanes incorporating specific sequences of functional *** pseudoisomeric rotaxanes which have the naphthalene diimide subunit at two different positions show distinct electrochemical *** calculations suggest that this differences could arise from a folding of the structure,in which the redox-active moieties stack with a stopper *** study presents a blueprint for the construction of hetero[3]rotaxanes with sequential control of the functional units along the track of the axle and paves the way to extend the functionality of mechanically interlocked molecules.

bACKGROUND Airborne sports have become more popular in recent *** number of accidents has increased linearly as athletes take increasingly greater risks to experience the adventurous spirit of this kind of *** To investigate the variety of injuries in airborne sport accidents,as well as which acute treatment these patients receive,both before and after admission to a levelone-trauma *** We performed a retrospective chart analysis at a major level-one-trauma center in Switzerland for 235-patients who were admitted following airborne sports injuries between 2010 and ***’demographic data,injury patterns,emergency primary care procedures and intra-hospital care were *** Overall,718-injuries in 235-patients were identified;the spine was the most commonly affected region with 46.5%of injuries(n=334/718)in *** 69-patients(15.5%),the(non-spine)thorax was affected,followed by the lower and upper extremity,pelvis,head/face and abdominal ***-patients had to be intubated at the trauma *** patients were resuscitated after onset of ***-patients died in the resuscitation *** 116-cases,surgery was indicated including 55-emergency *** 19 patients(8.1%)were transferred to the intensive care *** Paragliders are most commonly affected,although the highest injury severities were identified for building,Antenna,Span and Earth-jumping *** responders,treating physicians and pilots should be aware of the risk for potentially serious and life-threatening injury with an in-hospital mortality of 0.9%.

AIM: To present a case of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection following bile duct stenting in a patient with malignant biliary ***: A 78-year-old male patient was admitted to a community hospital with progredient painless jaundice lasting over two weeks, weight loss and sweating at *** a stent should be implanted pre-operatively in jaundiced patients or whether these patients should directly undergo surgical resection, was ***: ERC and a biopsy from the papilla of Vater revealed an adenocarcinoma. In addition, a 7-Ch plastic stent was placed into the common bile duct. Persistent abdominal pain, increasing jaundice, weakness and indigestion led to the transfer of the patient to our hospital.A pylorus-preserving pancreatoduodenectomy wasperformed. Intraoperatively, bile leaked out of the transected choledochus andthe stent was found to be dislocated in the duodenum. A smear of the bile revealed an infection with MRSA, leading to post-operative isolation of the ***:As biliary stents can cause severe infection of the bile, the need for pre-operative placement of biliary stents should be carefully evaluated in each individual case.

The effects of brassinosteroid signaling on shoot and root development have been characterized in great detail but a simple consistent positive or negative impact on a basic cellular parameter was not *** this study,we combined digital 3D single-cell shape analysis and single-cell mRNA sequencing to charac-terize root meristems and mature root segments of brassinosteroid-blind mutants and wild *** resul-tant datasets demonstrate that brassinosteroid signaling affects neither cell volume nor cell proliferation ***,brassinosteroid signaling is essential for the precise orientation of cell division planes and the extent and timing of anisotropic cell ***,we found that the cell-aligning effects of brassinosteroid signaling can propagate to normalize the anatomy of both adjacent and distant brassinosteroid-blind cells through non-cell-autonomous functions,which are sufficient to restore growth ***,single-cell transcriptome data discern directly brassinosteroid-responsive genes from genes that can react non-cell-autonomously and highlight arabinogalactans as sentinels of brassinosteroid-dependent anisotropic cell expansion.
