Is Chloroplast Movement in Tobacco Plants Influenced Systemically after Local Illumination or Burning Stress?

Chloroplast movement has been studied in many plants mainly in relation to the local light, mechanical or stress effects. Here we investigated possible systemic responses of chloroplast movement to local light or burning stress in tobacco plants （Nicotisna tabacum cv. Samsun）. Chloroplast movement was measured using two independent methods： one with a SPAD 502 Chlorophyll meter and another by collimated transmittance at a selected wavelength （676 nm）. A sensitive periodic movement of chloroplasts was used in high or low （2 000 or 50 μmol/m2 per s photosynthetically active radiation, respectively） cold white light with periods of 50 or 130 min. Measurements were carried out in the irradiated area, in the non-irradisted area of the same leaf or in the leaf located on the stem below the irradiated or bumed one. No significant changes in systemic chloroplast movement in non-irradiated parts of the leaf and in the non-treated leaf were detected. Our data indicate that chloroplast movement in tobacco is dependent dominantly on the intensity and spectral composition of the incident light and on the local stimulation and state of the target tissue. No systemic signal was strong enough to evoke a detectable systemic response in chloroplast movement in distant untreated tissues of tobacco plants.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a group of idiopathic disorders characterized by the proliferation of specialized,bone marrow-derived langerhans cells and mature *** clinical spectrum ranges from an acute,fulminant,disseminated disease called LettererSiwe disease to solitary or few,indolent and chronic lesions of the bone or other organs called eosinophilic *** of the gastrointestinal tract is very rare in *** present the case of a 53-yearold woman referred by her primary care physician for a screening colonoscopy.A single sessile polyp,measuring 4 mm in size,was found in the *** examination revealed that the lesion was relatively well circumscribed and comprised mainly a mixture of polygonal cells with moderate-to-abundant pink slightly granular *** nuclei within these cells had frequent grooves and were occasionally *** staining was positive for CD1a which confirmed the diagnosis of *** further workup,there was no evidence of involvement of any other *** follow up colonoscopy one year later,there was no evidence of disease *** of the published literature revealed that LCH presenting as solitary colonic polyp is ***,with the increas-ing rates of screening colonoscopy,more colonic polyps may be identified as LCH on *** underscores the importance of recognizing this rare condition and ensuring proper follow-up to rule out systemic disease.

We investigate the transition of a radiatively inefficient phase of a viscous two temperature accreting flow to a cooling dominated phase and vice versa around black holes. Based on a global sub-Keplerian accretion disk model in steady state, including explicit cooling processes self-consistently, we show that general advective accretion flow passes through various phases during its infall towards a black hole. Bremsstrahlung, syn- chrotron and inverse Comptonization of soft photons are considered as possible cooling mechanisms. Hence the flow governs a much lower electron temperature ～10^8 - 10^9.5 K compared to the hot protons of temperature ～10^10.2 - 10^11.8 K in the range of the accretion rate in Eddington units 0.01≤M≤ 100. Therefore, the solutions may potentially explain the hard X-rays and the γ-rays emitted from AGNs and X-ray binaries. We finally compare the solutions for two different regimes of viscosity and conclude that a weakly viscous flow is expected to be cooling dominated compared to its highly viscous counterpart which is radiatively inefficient. The flow is successfully able to reproduce the observed luminosities of the under-fed AGNs and quasars （e.g. Sgr A＊）, ultra-luminous X-ray sources （e.g. SS433）, as well as the highly luminous AGNs and ultra-luminous quasars （e.g. PKS 0743-67） at different combinations of the mass accretion rate and ratio of specific heats.

The prime objective of this paper is to explore the new exact soliton solutions to the higher-dimensional nonlinear Fokas equation and(2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equations via a generalized exponential rational function(GERF) method. Many different kinds of exact soliton solution are obtained, all of which are completely novel and have never been reported in the literature before. The dynamical behaviors of some obtained exact soliton solutions are also demonstrated by a choice of appropriate values of the free constants that aid in understanding the nonlinear complex phenomena of such equations. These exact soliton solutions are observed in the shapes of different dynamical structures of localized solitary wave solutions, singular-form solitons, single solitons,double solitons, triple solitons, bell-shaped solitons, combo singular solitons, breather-type solitons,elastic interactions between triple solitons and kink waves, and elastic interactions between diverse solitons and kink waves. Because of the reduction in symbolic computation work and the additional constructed closed-form solutions, it is observed that the suggested technique is effective, robust, and straightforward. Moreover, several other types of higher-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation can be solved using the powerful GERF technique.

The field of psychology and health care are often viewed as very different. One of the main differences between these two fields is the application of prediction. When it comes to physical health, the health care and the medical field can predict outcomes of an individual’s health based on things like diet, exercise, and genetic makeup. Psychology is a little bit different;psychologists are great at predicting behavioral changes in patients, but the prediction of an individual’s mental health is not up to par with the prediction of physical health in the medical field for several factors. The scope of this study is to highlight how artificial intelligence has been applied to the field of psychology. In particular, how machine learning and deep learning technologies have been used to predict developmental risks of mental health disorders and risk of suicidal/self-injurious behaviors, as well as how artificial intelligence can be used to detect levels of depression.

Chemical characteristics of trace metals in PM10 and their concentrated weighted trajectory analysis at Central Delhi,India

Trace metals associated with PM10 aerosols and their variation during day and nighttime as well as during different seasons have been studied for the year 2012. PCA analysis suggested5 PCs,which accounted for 86.8% cumulative variance. PC1 accounted for 30% with a significant loading of metals of anthropogenic origin,while PC2 showed 28% variance with the loading of metals of crustal origin. These trace metals showed seasonal distinct day and night time characteristics. The concentrations of Cu,Pb,and Cd were found to be higher during nighttime in all the seasons. Only Fe was observed with significantly higher mean concentrations during daytime of all seasons except monsoon. The highest mean values of Cu,Cd,Zn,and Pb during post-monsoon might be attributed to winds advection over the regions of waste/biomass burning and industrial activities in Punjab and Haryana ***,concentration weighted trajectory analysis suggested that metals of crustal origin were contributed by long-range transport while metals of anthropogenic and industrial activities were contributed by regional/local source regions.

Pyrimidine derivatives have been reported as neuroprotective agents useful for the treatment of various neurodegenerative disorders. In the present study, several pyrimidine analogues have been evaluated as neuroprotective agents in Morris water maze model. It was observed that pyrimidine derivatives 8–17 considerably improve learning, memory, and movement deficits in animal models. Biochemical estimations of brain serum of treated animals revealed suppression of oxidative and nitrosative stress, acetylcholinesterase activity, and other parameters which leads to neurodegeneration of brain. Of all the pyrimidine derivatives, thiomorpholine derivative 8 and piperazine ethanol derivative 17 were found to be the most active neuroprotective agents and produced effects comparable to standard drug rivastigmine in terms of behavioral, biochemical, and molecular aspects.

Based on a newly constructed set of data, this paper offers a quantitative perspective on the Nationalist Government＇s relations with China＇s domestic bond markets during the period 1932-34. For all the recent revisionist scholarship on the achievements of Nationalist state-building, the perception of the Nationalist elite as corrupt is still widely accepted. In order to demonstrate the empirical potential of quantitative financial history, this paper tests one particular assertion： that members of the Nationalist elite manipulated the issue price of domestic government bonds in order to enrich themselves and their associates. We test this by calculating two price data correlations： that of a first sample of government bonds, all of them issued before 1932, and that of a second sample of government bonds, which includes bonds issued during the period under review. The price fluctuations of the first sample are correlated with each other to a much higher degree than those of the second sample. This indicates that the prices of bonds in the first sample were reacting similarly to the same range of influences, while the bonds issued during the period under review and included in the second sample were displaying individual price fluctuations. One possible explanation for this is that members of the Nationalist elite enriched themselves or their associates by issuing domestic government bonds at artificially low prices. In sum, the article illustrates both the potential and the limitations of quantitative history： it allows us to test and dismiss a precisely formulated hypothesis about Nationalist corruption, but it is only one possible way in which statistical analysis can be applied and does not cover the wholeDid the Nationalist Government Manipulate the Chinese Bond Market？ realm of state practices
