Static Analysis Techniques for Fixing.Software Defects in MPI-Based Parallel Prog.ams

The Messag. Passing.Interface (MPI) is a widely accepted standard for parallel computing.on distributed ***, MPI implementations can contain defects that impact the reliability and performance of parallelapplications. Detecting.and correcting.these defects is crucial, yet there is a lack of published models specificallydesig.ed for correcting.PI defects. To address this, we propose a model for detecting.and correcting.MPI defects(DC_MPI), which aims to detect and correct defects in various types of MPI communication, including.blocking.oint-to-point (BPTP), nonblocking.point-to-point (NBPTP), and collective communication (CC). The defectsaddressed by the DC_MPI model include illeg.l MPI calls, deadlocks (DL), race conditions (RC), and messag.mismatches (MM). To assess the effectiveness of the DC_MPI model, we performed experiments on a datasetconsisting.of 40 MPI codes. The results indicate that the model achieved a detection rate of 37 out of 40 codes,resulting.in an overall detection accuracy of 92.5%. Additionally, the execution duration of the DC_MPI modelrang.d from 0.81 to 1.36 s. These finding. show that the DC_MPI model is useful in detecting.and correcting.efects in MPI implementations, thereby enhancing.the reliability and performance of parallel applications. TheDC_MPImodel fills an important research g.p and provides a valuable tool for improving.the quality ofMPI-basedparallel computing.systems.

Efficient ECg.classification based on Chi-square distance for arrhythmia detection

Asphaltene onset pressure measurement and calculation techniques:A review

Asphaltene precipitation can result in several production, operational, and transportation problems during.oil recovery. If asphaltene precipitates and deposits, it can reduce reservoir permeability, damag. wellbore equipment, and plug.the pipelines. It is therefore extremely important to evaluate the conditions at which asphaltene precipitation occurs; this is referred to as the asphaltene onset *** onset pressure has been measured using.many different experimental techniques. There have also been many attempts along.the years to predict asphaltene onset pressure using.mathematical correlations and models. This research provides an up-to-date comprehensive review of the methods by which asphaltene onset pressure can be measured using.laboratory experiments and mathematical models. The research explains the main mechanisms of all the laboratory experiments to measure asphaltene onset pressure under static conditions and how to conduct them and hig.lig.ts the advantag.s and limitations of each method. The research also provides a summary of the commonly used mathematical models to quantify asphaltene onset pressure directly and indirectly.

Tuning.the reactivity of TiO_(2)layer with uniform distribution of Sub-5 nm Fe_(2)O_(3)particles via in situ voltag.-assisted oxidation for robust catalytic reduction

The trade-off between efficiency and stability has limited the application of TiO_(2)as a catalyst due to its poor surface ***,we present a modification of a TiO_(2)layer with hig.ly stable Sub-5 nm Fe_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles(NP)by modulating.its structure-surface reactivity relationship to attain efficiency-stability balance via a voltag.-assisted oxidation *** situ simultaneous oxidation of the Ti substrate and Fe precursor using.hig.-energ. plasma driven by hig. voltag. resulted in uniform distribution of Fe_(2)O_(3)NP embedded within porous TiO_(2)*** surface characterizations with density functional theory demonstrated an improved electronic transition in TiO_(2)due to the presence of surface defects from reactive oxyg.n species and possible charg. transfer from Ti to Fe;it also unexpectedly increased the active site in the TiO_(2)layer due to uncoordinated electrons in Sub-5 nm Fe_(2)O_(3)NP/TiO_(2)catalyst,thereby enhancing.the adsorption of chemical functional g.oups on the *** unique embedded structure exhibited remarkable improvement in reducing.4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol,achieving.approximately 99%efficiency in 20 min without stability decay after 20 consecutive cycles,outperforming.previously reported TiO_(2)-based *** finding.proposes a modified-electrochemical strateg. enabling.facile construction of TiO_(2)with nanoscale oxides extandable to other metal oxide systems.

Nanocomposite films consisting.of carboxymethyl cellulose,polyethylene oxide(CMC/PEO),and anatase titanium diox-ide(TO)were produced by the use of sol-g.l and solution casting.***2 nanocrystals were effectively incorporated into CMC/PEO polymers,as shown by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and attenuated total reflectance fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR)*** roug.ness g.owth is at hig. levels of TO nanocrystals(TO NCs),which means increasing.active sites and defects in CMC/*** differential scanning.calorimetry(DSC)thermog.ams,the chang. in g.ass transition temperature(Tg.val-ues verifies that the polymer blend interacts with TO *** increment proportions of TO NCs have a notable impact on the dielectric performances of the nanocomposites,as *** electrical properties of the CMC/PEO/TO nanocomposite underg. sig.ificant *** nanocomposite films exhibit a red alteration in the absorption edg. as the concentration of TO NCs increases in the polymer *** decline in the energ. g.p is readily apparent as the weig.t percentag. of TO NCs *** photoluminescence(PL)emission spectra indicate that the sites of the luminescence peak maximums show slig.t variation;peaks g.t wider,while their intensities decrease dramatically as the concentration of TO *** nanocomposite materials show potential for multifunctional applications including.optoelectronics,antireflection coating.,pho-tocatalysis,lig.t emitting.diodes,and solid polymer electrolytes.

Compartmentalization of the inflammatory response during.bacterial sepsis and severe COVID-19

Acute infections cause local and systemic disorders which can lead in the most severe forms to multi-org.n failure and eventually to death. The host response to infection encompasses a larg. spectrum of reactions with a concomitant activation of the so-called inflammatory response aimed at fig.ting.the infectious ag.nt and removing.damag.d tissues or cells, and the anti-inflammatory response aimed at controlling.inflammation and initiating.the healing.process. Fine-tuning.at the local and systemic levels is key to preventing.local and remote injury due to immune system activation. Thus, during.bacterial sepsis and Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), concomitant systemic and compartmentalized pro-inflammatory and compensatory anti-inflammatory responses are occurring. Immune cells (e.g., macrophag.s, neutrophils, natural killer cells, and T-lymphocytes), as well as endothelial cells, differ from one compartment to another and contribute to specific org.n responses to sterile and microbial insult. Furthermore, tissue-specific microbiota influences the local and systemic response. A better understanding.of the tissue-specific immune status, the org.n immunity crosstalk, and the role of specific mediators during.sepsis and COVID-19 can foster the development of more accurate biomarkers for better diag.osis and prog.osis and help to define appropriate host-targ.ted treatments and vaccines in the context of precision medicine.
