This study considers the effect of Eichhornia Crassipes Biodiesel(ECB)blends on the performances,combustion,and emission characteristics of a direct injection compression ignition engine operated in a dual-fuel mode(DFM)and equipped with an Exhaust gas recirculation technique(EGR).in particular,a single-cylinder,four-stroke,water-cooled diesel engine was utilized and four modes of fuel operation were considered:mode i,the engine operated with an ordinary diesel fuel;mode ii,the engine operated with the addition of 2.4 L/min of lique-ﬁed petroleum gas(LPG)and 20%EGR;mode iii,20%ECB with 2.4 L/min LPG and 20%EGR;mode iV,40%ECB with 2.4 L/min LPG and 20%*** operation conditions were constant engine speed(1500 rpm),var-iation of load(25%,50%,75%,and 100%),full load,with a compression ratio of 18,and a time injection of 23°BTDC(Before top died center).With regard to engine emissions,carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),carbon monoxide(CO),hydrocarbons(UHC),and nitrogen oxide(NOX)were measured using a gas *** smoke opacity was measured using an OPABOX smoke *** comparing the results related to the different modes with mode i at full load,the BTE(Brake thermal efﬁciency)increased by 20.17%,11.45%,and 12.66%with modes ii,iii,and iV,*** comparison to the results for mode ii,the BTE decreased due to the combustion of ECB blends by 7.26%and 6.24%for mode iii and mode iV,respectively,at full *** comparison to mode ii,the Brake speciﬁc energy consumption(BSEC)increased with the ECB *** ECB blends,there is a noticeable decrease in the CO,CO_(2),and UHC emissions at a partial ***,the 20%ECB has no effect on CO emissions at full *** modes ii and iV,the CO_(2)increased by 33.33%and 19%,respectively,while the UHC emissions were reduced by 14.49%for mode iii and 26.08%for mode *** smoke of mode iii was lower by 7.21%,but for mode iV,it was higher by 12.37%.in addition,with mode iii and mode iV,the NOx emissions increased by 30.50%

Pancreatic cancer(PC) has been one of the deadliest of all cancers, with almost uniform lethality despite aggressive treatment. Recently, there have been important advances in the molecular, pathological and biological understandingof pancreatic cancer. Even after the emergence of recent new targeted agents and the use of multiple therapeutic combinations, no treatment option is viable in patients with advanced cancer. Developing novel strategies to target progression of PC is of intense interest. A small population of pancreatic cancer stem cells(CSCs) has been found to be resistant to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. CSCs are believed to be responsible for tumor initiation, progression and metastasis. The CSC research has recently achieved much progress in a variety of solid tumors, including pancreatic cancer to some extent. This leads to focus on understanding the role of pancreatic CSCs. The focus on CSCs may offer new targets for prevention and treatment of this deadly cancer. We review the most salient developments in important areas of pancreatic CSCs. Here, we provide a review of current updates and new insights on the role of CSCs in pancreatic tumor progression with special emphasis on Dcl K1 and Lgr5, signaling pathways altered by CSCs, and the role of CSCs in prevention and treatment of PC.

The petroliferous province of the Western Desert comprises several sedimentary basins with different hydrocarbon potentiality and production *** middle Jurassic Khatatba Formation was proved a potential source rock in some basins and active/effective in *** current study aims to give a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the potential organic-rich intervals of the Khatatba Formation across JG and JD fields,northeast Abu Gharadig Basin(NEAG).The hydrocarbon generating capability and sourcing of the Khatatba Formation studied through organic geochemistry calibrated with well ***,the efficiency of some widely used plots of geochemistry is re-evaluated according to their accuracy and *** cuttings,thirteen cores and two oil samples obtained from three wells(JG-2,JG-3 and JD-4)were *** samples revealed total organic carbon(TOC)values ranging from 1 to 9 wt%,exhibiting a good-excellent potential source rock.A single sample in the JD-4 well attained a TOC value of 21.3 wt%with a generating potential(represented by S2 parameter)exceeding 146 mgHc/g rock required a special *** of the samples(mainly in the JD-4 well)attained a sufficient level of thermal maturity for hydrocarbon generation with a Tmax up to 449*** vitrinite reflectance(%Ro)values(a common maturity-related indicator)acquired from the JD-4 well ranging between 0.76%and 0.92%.These values are tediously increasing with depth indicating a uniform geothermal *** Khatatba organofacies,with wide variety of kerogen types(i,ii,ii-S and ii/iii),contain marine organic matter with a slight terrigenous input,exhibiting anoxic-suboxic environmental ***-source correlations define the organic-rich intervals responsible for charging the accumulated hydrocarbon in the NEAG concession.

Solving field equations exactly in f(R,T)−gravity is a challenging *** do so,many authors have adopted different methods such as assuming both the metric functions and an equation of state(EoS)and a metric ***,such methods may not always lead to well-behaved solutions,and the solutions may even be rejected after complete ***,very recent studies on embedding class-one methods suggest that the chances of arriving at a well-behaved solution are very high,which is *** the class-one approach,one of the metric potentials is estimated and the other can be obtained using the Karmarkar *** this study,a new class-one solution is proposed that is well-behaved from all physical points of *** nature of the solution is analyzed by tuning the f(R,T)−coupling parameterχ,and it is found that the solution leads to a stiffer EoS forχ=−1 than that forχ=*** is because for small values ofχ,the velocity of sound is higher,leading to higher values of Mmax in the M−R curve and the EoS parameterω.The solution satisfies the causality condition and energy conditions and remains stable and static under radial perturbations(static stability criterion)and in equilibrium(modified TOV equation).The resulting M−R diagram is well-fitted with observed values from a few compact stars such as PSR J1614-2230,Vela X-1,Cen X-3,and SAX ***,for different values ofχ,the corresponding radii and their respective moments of inertia have been predicted from the M−i curve.

Objective:To evaluate a novel polyherbal formulation(BSVT)containing the standardized extracts from the leaves of Boerhavia diffusa,Solidago virgaurea,Vitex negundo,and thymoquinone in CCl4 induced hepatorenal toxicity in ***:A total of 36 rats were divided into six groups including normal control,CCl4(2 mL/kg,i.p.),CCl4(2 mL/kg,i.p.)+Cystone?(750 mg/kg p.o.),CCl4(2 mL/kg,i.p.)+BSVT(25 mg/kg,p.o.),CCl4(2 mL/kg,i.p.)+BSVT(50 mg/kg,p.o.),and CCl4(2 mL/kg,i.p.)+BSVT(100 mg/kg,p.o.).All treatments were given for four *** levels of aspartate transaminase,alanine transaminase,alkaline phosphatase,cholesterol,total protein,serum urea,blood urea nitrogen and creatinine were *** dismutase,malondialdehyde,and glutathione peroxidase were evaluated in tissue *** histopathological study of liver and kidney tissues was also ***:Aspartate transaminase,alanine transaminase,alkaline phosphatase,cholesterol,serum urea,blood urea nitrogen and creatinine were significantly elevated(Pile total protein was considerably reduced in the CCl4 group as compared to the normal control(Pich indicated hepatorenal *** addition,superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities were significantly decreased(Pile malondialdehyde levels were increased markedly(Pith BSVT formulation recovered these parameters towards a normal level in a dose-dependent ***:BSVT formulation ameliorates the hepatorenal toxicity in a dose-dependent ***,clinical studies are required to confirm its efficacy.
