墨西哥湾盆地东南部区域构造演化过程探讨

墨西哥湾盆地东南部位于北美板块与加勒比板块碰撞交汇区域,是墨西哥湾地区构造最为复杂区域。涉及两大板块,北美板块和加勒比板块;两个二级板块,尤卡坦板块和巴哈马-佛罗里达板块。在总结前人研究成果基础上,结合深海钻探计划(DSDP)钻井资料以及最新二维地震数据,通过地震相特征识别,分析研究区构造演化过程,探讨板块之间相对运动对墨西哥湾盆地东南部区域的控制作用。结果表明:(1)墨西哥湾盆地东南部现今包含北古巴前陆盆地以及盆地北部被动大陆边缘的不规则中央裂陷区;(2)该区域经历多期构造活动,早侏罗世至中侏罗世中期南美板块与北美板块之间背向分离,白垩纪加勒比板块逆冲北美板块,晚白垩世早期海平面上升以及尤卡坦台地与佛罗里达台地抬升,白垩纪末期加勒比板块北侧古加勒比弧与北美板块碰撞拼合;(3)在早白垩世晚期,由于北美板块内部尤卡坦板块与巴哈马-佛罗里达板块之间的张裂运动,发育大量张性断层,产生NW-SE走向的地堑、半地堑构造样式。

Since reporting cases of breast cancer are on the rise all over the *** in regions such as Pakistan,Saudi Arabia,and the United *** methods for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer are *** usual diagnosis procedures followed by physicians has been updated with modern diagnostic approaches that include computer-aided support for better *** learning based practices has increased the accuracy and efficiency of medical diagnosis,which has helped save lives of many *** is much research in the field of medical imaging diagnostics that can be applied to the variety of data such as magnetic resonance images(MRIs),mammograms,X-rays,ultrasounds,and histopathological images,but magnetic resonance(MR)and mammogram imaging have proved to present the promising *** proposed paper has presented the results of classification algorithms over Breast Cancer(BC)mammograms from a novel dataset taken from hospitals in the Qassim health cluster of Saudi *** paper has developed a novel approach called the novel spectral extraction algorithm(NSEA)that uses feature extraction and fusion by using local binary pattern(LBP)and bilateral algorithms,as well as a support vector machine(SVM)as a *** NSEA with the SVM classifier demonstrated a promising accuracy of 94%and an elapsed time of 0.68 milliseconds,which were significantly better results than those of comparative experiments from classifiers named Naïve Bayes,logistic regression,K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Gaussian Discriminant Analysis(GDA),AdaBoost and Extreme Learning Machine(ELM).ELM produced the comparative accuracy of 94%however has a lower elapsed time of 1.35 as compared to *** has produced a fairly well accuracy of 82%,KNN has a low accuracy of 66%.However Logistic Regression,GDA and Naïve Bayes have produced the lowest accuracies of 47%,43%and 42%.

Memory-based collaborative recommender system (CRS) computes the similarity between users based on their declared ratings. However, not all ratings are of the same importance to the user. The set of ratings each user weights highly differs from user to user according to his mood and taste. This is usually reflected in the user’s rating scale. Accordingly, many efforts have been done to introduce weights to the similarity measures of CRSs. This paper proposes fuzzy weightings for the most common similarity measures for memory-based CRSs. Fuzzy weighting can be considered as a learning mechanism for capturing the preferences of users for ratings. Comparing with genetic algorithm learning, fuzzy weighting is fast, effective and does not require any more space. Moreover, fuzzy weightings based on the rating deviations from the user’s mean of ratings take into account the different rating scales of different users. The experimental results show that fuzzy weightings obviously improve the CRSs performance to a good extent.

A Cross-Sectional Study on Assessment of Oxidative Stress in Coronary Heart Disease Patients in Bangladesh

Oxidative stress is considered a central factor in endothelial dysfunction and plaque formation in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients. In this cross-?sectional study, the stress-induced protein and lipid oxidation and production of signaling molecule, nitric oxide has been investigated in CHD patients in Bangladesh. A total of 140 participants were enrolled of which 70 were CHD patients, and the remaining 70 were control subjects having no cardiovascular disease. The diagnosis of CHD was made by expert physicians through characteristic electrocardiogram and troponin changes. The protein carbonyls and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) levels in plasma of both groups were measured by spectrophotometric methods. The plasma nitric oxide levels were measured by reaction with Griess reagent. Statistical non-parametric tests and t-tests were used to analyze the results between the CHD patients and controls. In the patients, the mean protein carbonyls and TBARS, two important markers of oxidative stress, were 2.87 ± 0.97 nmol/mg and 6.92 ± 3.56 nmol/mL, respectively, which were significantly higher than in the control subjects, 1.71 ± 0.82 nmol/mg and 3.15 ± 1.42 nmol/mL, respectively. Assessment of the cardiovascular signaling molecule nitric oxide showed significantly lower value in the CHD patients (6.29 ± 4.78 μM) compared to the controls (10.75 ± 6.03 μM). There was a significant negative correlation between plasma TBARS and total plasma protein, and a weak negative correlation between TBARS and nitric oxide levels in the CHD patients. Evaluation of the smoking habit strongly suggested that smoking was a risk factor for the development of CHD among the Bangladeshi population. These results provide an overview of oxidative?stress-mediated damages on proteins, lipids and effects on signaling molecule nitric oxide in CHD patients.

Our previous results indicated that both the secreted and the intracellular form of full length and 1-97 N-terminal fragment of IGFBP-3 induce apoptosis in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells in an IGF-dependent and independent manner. This study was undertaken to delineate possible down-stream signaling pathways that are involved in this process. Intact IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal 1-97 fragments with or without a signal propeptide were fused to YFP and expressed in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells. In some cases, the putative IGF-binding site was presented in full length IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal fragment was also mutated. Extent of apoptosis was quantified using FACS. Up-regulation of total Stat-1 and activation of phospho-Stat-1 were shown by western blot. TGF-β signal was measured by luciferase reporter assay. Results from inhibitor studies indicated that both the Caspase 8 and caspase 9 pathways are involved in IGFBP-3 (non-secreted form) which induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells. Exogenous addition of IGFBP-3 to PC-3 cells increased Stat-1 protein expression/tyrosine phosphorylation. Interestingly, results also showed that knockdown of Stat-1 by siRNA potentiated the IGFBP-3 induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells. In addition, both full-length IGFBP-3 and its 1-97 Nterminal fragments inhibited TGF-β signaling in these cells. This is the first report that compares the signal transduction pathways involved in apoptotic pathways mediated by IGFBP-3 in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells. Non-secreted form of full length IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal fragments induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells via activation of caspase 8 and caspase 9. Although, only non-secreted form of IGFBP-3 is involved in inducing apoptosis in PC-3 cells via caspase 8 and caspase 9 activation pathways but both secreted and non-secreted forms of IGFBP-3 are involved in modulating Stat-1 and TGF-β pathways to induce apoptotic actions in PC-3 cells. Background: Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a new viral disease that has caused a pandemic in the *** to the lack of vaccines and definitive treatment,preventive behaviors are the only way to overcome the ***,the present study aimed to determine the preventive behaviors from the disease based on constructs of the health belief ***:: In the present cross-sectional study during March 11–16,2020,750 individuals in Golestan Province of Iran were included in the study using the convenience sampling and they completed the questionnaires through *** scores were calculated using the confirmatory factor *** effects of different factors were separately investigated using the univariate analyses,including students sample t-test,ANOVA,and simple linear ***,the effective factors were examined by the multiple regression analysis at a significant level of 0.05 and through Mplus 7 and SPSS ***: The participants’mean age was 33.9±9.45 years;and 57.1%of them had associate and bachelor's *** regression indicated that the mean score of preventive behavior from COVID-19 was higher in females than males,and greater in urban dwellers than rural ***,one unit increase in the standard deviation of factor scores of self-efficacy and perceived benefits increased the scores of preventive behavior from COVID-19 by 0.22 and 0.17 units *** the contrary,one unit increase in the standard deviation of factor score of perceived barriers and fatalistic beliefs decreased the scores of the preventive behavior from COVID-19 by 0.36 and 0.19 units ***: Results: of the present study indicated that female gender,perceived barriers,perceived self-efficacy,fatalistic beliefs,perceived interests,and living in city had the greatest preventive behaviors from COVID-19 *** interventions were necessary among males and villagers.

Objective： Among the injury types, sports ones constitute a considerable proportion of patients who refer to the medical centers. This research was conducted to examine the frequency of sports- related injuries referring to Kashan University of Medical Sciences Trauma Research Center from 2005 to 2011. Methods： This was a retrospective research in which existing data from the data bank of Kashan University of Medical Sciences Trauma Research Center were employed. The data were extracted from the main source by SPSS version 16.0. Variables such as age, education, occupation and gender were analyzed. Results： The highest proportion of injuries was observed in students （59.4%） followed by workers （11.8%）. Upper and lower extremities were most commonly injured. The most frequent injury was strain （35.4%）, followed by sprain （27.7%）. Conclusion： The results of this research showed that the majority of the sports trauma occurrs in students; therefore, they need more attention in regard to sports injuries. Preventive measures such as informing the coaches and teachers as well as increasing the students＇ awareness about the injury risk can decrease the incidences of sports injuries.

Being familiar with characteristics of industrial town effluents from various wastewater treatment units, which have high qualitative and quantitative variations and more uncertainties compared to urban wastewaters, plays very effective role in governing them. With regard to environmental issues, proper operation of wastewater treatment plants is of par- ticular importance that in the case of inappropriate utilization, they will cause serious problems. Processes that exist in environmental systems mostly have two major characteristics: they are dependent on many variables;and there are complex relationships between its components which make them very difficult to analyze. In order to achieve a better and efficient control over the operation of an industrial wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), powerful mathematical tool can be used that is based on recorded data from some basic parameters of wastewater during a period of treatment plant operation. In this study, the treatment plant was divided into two main subsystems including: Low TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) treatment unit and Biological unit (extended aeration). The multilayer perceptron feed forward neural network with a hidden layer and stop training method was used to predict quality parameters of the industrial effluent. Data of this study are related to the Fajr Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in Mahshahr—Iran that qualita- tive and quantitative characteristics of its units were used for training, calibration and validation of the neural model. Also, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique was applied to improve performance of generated models of neural networks. The results of L-TDS unit showed good accuracy of the models in estimating qualitative profile of wastewater but results of biological unit did not have sufficient accuracy to being used.
