Increasing the bending capacity of reinforced concrete(RC)elements is one of important topics in structure *** goal of this study is to develop a transferred stress system(TSS)on longitudinal reinforcement bars for increasing the bending capacity of RC *** study is divided into two parts,i.e.,experimental tests and nonlinear FE *** experiments were carried out to determine the load-deflection curves and crack patterns of the ordinary and TSS fixed *** FE models were developed for simulating the fixed *** obtained load-deflection results and the observed cracks from the FE analysis and experimental tests are compared to evaluate the validation of the FE nonlinear *** on the validated FE models,the stress distribution on the ordinary and TSS bars were *** found the load carrying capacity and ductility of TSS fixed beam are 29.39%and 23.69%higher compared to those of the ordinary fixed *** crack expansion occurs on the ordinary fixed beam,although there are several crack openings at mid-span of the TSS fixed *** crack distribution was changed in the TSS fixed *** TSS fixed beam is proposed to employ in RC frame instead of ordinary RC beam for improving the performance of RC frame.

In this study,we carried out nonlinear finite element simulations to predict the performance of a columntree moment connection(CTMC)under fire and static *** also conducted a detailed parameter study based on five input variables,including the applied temperature,number of flange bolts,number of web bolts,length of the beam,and applied static *** first variable is changed among seven levels,whereas the other variables are changed among three *** the Taguchi method for variables 2-5 and their levels,9 samples were designed for the parameter study,where each sample was exposed to 7 different temperatures yielding 63 *** related variables for each output are imported for the training and testing of different surrogate *** surrogate models include a multiple linear regression(MLR),multiple Ln equation regression(MLnER),an adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system(ANFIS),and gene expression programming(GEP).44 samples were used for training randomly while the remaining samples were employed for *** show that GEP outperforms MLR,MLnER,and *** results indicate that the rotation and deflection of the CTMC depend on the *** addition,the fire resistance increases with a decrease in the beam length;thus,a shorter beam can increase the fire resistance of the *** numbers of flanges and web bolts slightly affect the rotation and displacement of the CTMCs at temperatures of above 400℃.

Finding out the most effective parameters relating to the resistance of reinforced concrete connections(RCCs)is an important topic in structural *** this study,first,a finite element(FE)model is developed for simulating the performance of RCCs under post-earthquake fire(PEF).Then surrogate models,including multiple linear regression(MLR),multiple natural logarithm(Ln)equation regression(MLn ER),gene expression programming(GEP),and an ensemble model,are used to predict the remaining load-carrying capacity of an RCC under *** statistical parameters,error terms,and a novel statistical table are used to evaluate and compare the accuracy of each surrogate *** to the results,the ratio of the longitudinal reinforcement bars of the column(RLC)has a significant effect on the resistance of an RCC under *** the value of this parameter from 1%to 8%can increase the residual load-carrying capacity of an RCC under PEF by 492.2%when the RCC is exposed to fire at a temperature of 1000°***,based on the results,the ensemble model can predict the residual load-carrying capacity with suitable accuracy.A safety factor of 1.55 should be applied to the results obtained from the ensemble model.

Surrogate models for the prediction of damage in reinforced concrete tunnels under internal water pressure

In the present study,the performance of reinforced concrete tunnel(RCT)under internal water pressure is evaluated by using nonlinear finite element analysis and surrogate *** parameters,including the compressive and tensile strength of concrete,the size of the longitudinal reinforcement bar,the transverse bar diameter,and the internal water pre ssure,are considered as the input *** on the levels of variables,36 mix designs are selected by the Taguchi method,and 12 mix designs are proposed in this *** fiber reinforced concrete(CFRC)or glass fiber reinforced concrete(GFRC)is considered for simulating these 12 *** component regression(PCR),Multi Ln equation regression(MLnER),and gene expression programming(GEP)are employed for predicting the percentage of damaged surfaces(PDS)of the RCT,the effective tensile plastic strain(ETPS),the maximum deflection of the RCT,and the deflection of crown of *** error terms and statistical parameters,including the maximum positive and negative errors,mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),root mean square error(RMSE),coefficient of determination,and normalized square error(NMSE),are utili zed to evaluate the accuracy of the *** on the results,GEP performs better than other models in predicting the *** results sh ow that the internal water pressure and the mechanical properties of concrete have the most effect on the damag e and deflection of the RCT.

Noncommutativity and its role in constant-roll inflation models with non-minimal coupling constrained by swampland conjectures

In this paper, using Hamiltonian formalism, we obtain solutions for constant-roll inflation according to the noncommutativity and the non-minimal coupling field of the Lagrangian. We consider three different types of couplings: power-law, exponential, and logarithmic. Subsequently, by plotting some figures, we study the effects of these coupling in constant-roll inflation with noncommutative parameters. We identify and specify the permissible regions of each case of the swampland conjecture and determine the best model. We find that the exponential, logarithmic, and power-law couplings with θ>0 ar results in both cases, some of which are compatible and some incompatible with the dS swampland ***,θ>0 is more compatible than θ<0, and the consistency value in the second boundary condition is much higher than in the first. The order of better compatibility of couplings with the swampland conjecture is ranked as follows: exponential non-minimal coupling, logarithmic non-minimal coupling, and power-law non-minimal coupling. For each type of coupling, we calculate the values of the scalar spectral index n s and the tensor-to-scalar ratio r for two different potentials and compare them with the observational data from Planck 2018. We also determine the range of the free parameters(a, b, q)model consistent with the conjecture. We find that the model satisfies the FRDSSC for all types of couplings and both potentials, with some constraints on the parameters.

Under submerged conditions, compared with traditional self-excited oscillating pulsed waterjets(SOPWs), annular fluid-enhanced self-excited oscillating pulsed waterjets(AFESOPWs) exhibit a higher surge pressure through self-priming. However, their pressure frequency and cavitation characteristics remain unclear, resulting in an inability to fully utilize resonance and cavitation erosion to break coal and rock. In this study, high-frequency pressure testing, high-speed photography, and large eddy simulation(LES) are used to investigate the distribution of the pressure frequency band, evolution law of the cavitation cloud, and its regulation mechanism of a continuous waterjet, SOPW, and AFESOPW. The results indicated that the excitation of the plunger pump, shearing layer vortex, and bubble collapse corresponded to the three high-amplitude frequency bands of the waterjet pressure. AFESOPWs have an additional self-priming frequency that can produce a larger amplitude under a synergistic effect with the second high-amplitude frequency band. A better cavitation effect was produced after self-priming the annulus fluid, and the shedding frequency of the cavitation clouds of the three types of waterjets was linearly related to the cavitation number. The peak pressure of the waterjet and cavitation erosion effect can be improved by modulating the waterjet pressure oscillation frequency and cavitation shedding frequency.

This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEM analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** M-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

Risk factors for congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction in children under two years of age

·AIM:To identify various risk factors that may play a significant role in the development of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction(CNLDO).·METHODS:This observational case-control study included a case group of 122 children less than two years of age with CNLDO who underwent probing and irrigation treatment at the ophthalmology department of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz,Iran,from June 2022 to June2024.A control group of 122 age-matched children without CNLDO was also included for *** was collected from the children's medical records.·RESULTS:The study found a significant correlation between the occurrence of CNLDO and several maternal factors,such as preeclampsia,the use of levothyroxine,hypothyroidism,having more than three pregnancies(gravidity>3),natural pregnancy,and gestational diabetes ***,in children,factors,such as oxygen therapy,anemia,reflux,jaundice,and a family history of CNLDO in first-degree relatives were associated with CNLDO,and maternal preeclampsia and hypothyroidism were found to significantly increase the risk of developing CNLDO in children.·CONCLUSION:Given that CNLDO affects both premature and full-term children,the present findings may potentially facilitate the early identification of children and infants at risk of nasolacrimal duct obstruction,thereby preventing the onset of chronic dacryocystitis.

Enhancing Evapotranspiration Estimation: A Bibliometric and Systematic Review of Hybrid Neural Networks in Water Resource Management
