Cu-Ge ferrite was prepared using the standard ceramic method. The creep rate of polycrystalline Cu1+xGexFe2-2xO4 ferrite has been measured as a function of time at room temperature. It is found that the indentation length increases with the increase of both time and applied load. A regime of individual creep curves is observed for the first and second stages. It is not possible to record the third stage of the curve as usually happened in an ordinary creep test, because fracture of the samples does not occur. The slope is found to increase with increasing germanium and copper content in the steady state region. The high value of n (stress exponent factor) indicates that the dislocation creep is the dominate mechanism. The porosity arrangements developed within the specimens were examined using optical microscope. The results are discussed with regard to models describing the role of the steady state creep rate of metals. The morphology of the samples shows that the porosity is increased by increasing both copper and germanium ions.

Background:Trabecular microbypass stents have allowed improved multidirectional flow with good efficacy and safety profile in primary open-angle glaucoma(OAG).The efficacy of these devices in primary angle closure glaucoma has been *** aimed to assess the one-year postoperative outcomes following implantation of trabecular micro-bypass stents with concomitant cataract surgery in angle-closure glaucoma ***:We evaluated the baseline clinical characteristics and the 12-month outcomes of patients with mild to severe primary angle-closure glaucoma who underwent cataract surgery with implantation of either a first generation trabecular microbypass stent(iStent group)or two second generation trabecular microbypass stents(iStent-inject group).The primary outcomes included intraocular pressure(IOP)and anti-glaucoma medication *** secondary outcomes were success rate(defined by IOP between 5-18 mmHg with IOP reduction of at least 20%)and visual ***:A total of 83 eyes(58 from the iStent and 25 from the iStent-inject group)were included with an average age of 68.9±8.6 and 67.6±8.3 years,*** eyes had mild to severe angle-closure *** one-year follow-up,the IOP decreased by 21%(from 18.8±4.5 mmHg)and 25%(from 18.7±3.6 mmHg),in each group respectively(P<0.001).Additionally,the medication burden dropped by 52%and 50%at one-year follow-up(P<0.001).The 12-month success rate was 45%in the iStent group compared to 64%in the iStent-inject group(P=0.086)and visual acuity remained ***:The present study provides clinically relevant,real-world data on the utility of iStent and iStent inject with cataract surgery in angle-closure glaucoma-a population that has been understudied in the world of trabecular micro-bypass *** data demonstrated efficacy of these stents in reducing intraocular pressure and medication burden among patients with primary angle closure glaucoma.

Two new miniature metallic sealed-cells containing the triple point of water, WTP (273.16 K) and the triple point of mercury, HgTP (234.3156 K) have been constructed for the realization of the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) at the National Institute of Standards (NIS-Egypt). The two new cells, in addition to a previously realized argon and oxygen triple point cells, will provide facilities for the calibration of capsule-type standard platinum resistance thermometers (CSPRTs) at one single run. Many phase transition plateaux were carried out and compared to the laboratory large reference cells using the same thermometers in order to test the performance of the new cell.

Surviving a Catastrophic Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding Caused by Esophageal-Subclavian Fistula: Case Report

Arterio-esophageal fistula (AEF), whether congenital or acquired, is a rare condition which can lead to fatal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. We report here a young man who developed a subclavian-esophageal fistula (SEF) secondary to chicken bone impaction in the upper esophagus. The diagnosis was reached by urgent upper endoscopy and Computed Tomography of the chest which showed pseudo-aneurysmal changes at left subclavian artery with leaked contrast through the fistula towered the esophagus. Urgent endo-vascular angiography confirmed the subclavian arterio-esophageal fistula that was managed uneventfully using covered 6mm Viban stent-graft. The patient survived this serious condition and was discharged home in good condition.

AIM: To investigate the role of Cupressus sempervirens (C. sempervirens) and Juniperus phoenicea (J. phoe-nicea) extracts as therapeutic effect against CCl4 with biochemical, histopathological evaluations. METHODS: A single intraperitoneal dose of 10% CCl4 in olive oil (1 mL/kg body weight) was administered to a group of female Wister rats, sacrificed after 24 h (as the injury group). The other groups were given CCl4 as de-scribed above and divided as follows: two groups of ten rats each were orally administered either J. phoenicea extract or C. sempervirens extract three times per week for six weeks and a further group administered CCl4 was left for six weeks to allow self-recovery. At the end of experiment, the rats from all groups were sacrificed for sampling and for biochemical and histological analysis. RESULTS: Remarkable disturbances were observed in the levels of all tested parameters. On the other hand,rats injected with the toxic agent and left for one and a half month to self recover showed moderate improve-ments in the studied parameters while, treatment with both medicinal herbal extracts ameliorated the levels of the disturbed biochemical parameters. The group treated with J. phoenicea extract showed a remarkable improvement in comparison to the CCl4 treated group. The C. sempervirens group revealing an even more re-markable effect showing histopathological liver& kidney profiles close to those of the control ***: C. sempervirens and J. phoenicea leaf extracts show a remarkable effect in enhancing liver and kidney functions and may thus be of therapeutic potential in treatment hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity.

The antibacterial effect of the crude methanol extracts and purified fractions of Cladophora glomerata (Linnaeus) Kutzing (Cladophoraceae) against multidrug resistant human pathogen were investigated. The test bacterial strains were Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli and S. typhimurium. Ethanol extract (0.5 mg/mL) of Cladophora glomerata inhibited growth of all the test organisms. Primary detection of active compounds showed that macroalgae (Cladophora glomerata) containing flavonoids, alkaloids, phenols and tannins. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry was used to know the compounds which responsible of antibacterial activity and they were 8-Pentadecanone that was found to be a major compound (42.67%) followed by 8-Octadecanone (22.43%) and Salicylic acid (20.04%) in addition to 10-hexadecaden (8.01%). These findings suggest the possibility of using the Cladophora glomerata as a novel source of natural antimicrobial agents in pharmaceutical industries.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by recurring episodes of reversible airway obstruction, hyper-responsiveness, wheezing, breathlessness and coughing. Clinical diagnosis of asthma is based on the pattern of clinical symptoms and pulmonary fuction tests. Asthma affectes 5% - 10% of the population and the number of worldwide cases is approximately 300 milliones. The incidence of this disease is increasing particulry in western countries [1]. It is the cause of a huge economic burden to national healthcare services. In a minority of cases, asthma is potentially fatal. After a period when fatalities appeared to be increasing [2], in recent years asthma-related mortality has progressively declined due to the develop- ment of specific asthma disease management programs, as well as the extensive use of in- haled corticosteroids [3]. Inflammation of the airways is a central component in asthma. In- flammation is associated with infliltration of the airway wall with eosinophiles and or neutron- philes mast cell degranulation and T cell active- tion. Other pathological features include, sub- basement membrane thickening, loss of epithet- lial cell integrity, goblet cells hyperplasia In- crease in airway smooth muscle mass. Eosino- phils are thought to be vital in the development of airway hyperreactivity, with the eosinophil cationic protein playing a crucial role [4]. The fact that treatment of asthma with corticos-teroids reduces eosinophils numbers and decreases airway reactivity further supports this hypothesis.

Breast cancer(BrC)is now the world’s leading cause of death for *** detection and effective treatment of this disease are the only rescues to reduce BrC *** prediction of BrC diseases is very difficult because it is not an individual disease but a mixture of various *** researchers have used different techniques such as classification,Machine Learning(ML),and Deep Learning(DL)of the prediction of the breast tumor into Benign and ***,still there is a scope to introduce appropriate techniques for developing and implementing a more effective diagnosis *** paper proposes a DL prediction BrC framework that uses a selected Bidirectional Recurrent Neural Network(BRNN).An efficient fast and accurate optimizer is needed to train the neural network *** more recent Dynamic Group-based Cooperative Optimization Group(DGCO)algorithm is modified MDGCO for this *** Deep Learning Breast Cancer Prediction Framework(DLBCPF)includes four layers:preprocessing,feature selection,optimized Recurrent Neural Networks,and *** different Wisconsin BrC datasets are used to test the validity of the proposed framework and optimizer against *** results obtained have shown the superiority of both the framework DLBCPF and the optimizer MDGCO when they are compared to others.

A rapid, efficient, and facile synthesis of an assortment of C-2 substituted imidazopyrazines has been achieved by utilizing the palladium catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling of 2-bromo-1H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyrazine with various boronic acids under microwave irradiation. The utilization of（A-^（ta）phos）_2PdCl_2 as a catalyst in combination with Cs F as base and DME-H_2O（4：1） as the solvent system at 100℃ procured the diaryls in acceptable to excellent yields. Prominent features of this developed methodology include short reaction times, fewer side products, and exceptional tolerance to a wide variety of functional groups.
