The current study aims to develop polyvinyl chloride(PVC)nanocomposites with enhanced electrical and mechanical properties by incorporating titanium oxide(TiO_(2))nanoparticles within PVC *** loading of nanoparticles and different nanoparticle surface states were *** surface states are unfunctionalised,functionalised using vinyl silane and functionalised using amino *** choice of a most suitable surface state was a critical factor that guarantees a good dispersion of nanoparticles and consequently enhances the compatibility between TiO_(2)and PVC *** process followed in the PVC/TiO_(2)nanocomposites preparation,loaded with different wt.%of TiO_(2)nanoparticles,was the solvent *** dielectric properties measured here were the relative permittivity(ɛr),dielectric loss(tanδ),breakdown strength(AC and dC under uniform field)and the internal partial discharges(Pds)within insulation *** measurements have been performed under room temperature and at frequency ranged from 20 to 1.0 ***,the mechanical properties of the samples like elongation,elasticity modulus and tensile strength were also *** silane showed better improvements in both electrical and mechanical performances compared to the amino silane,especially in cases of high weight fractions of TiO_(2).This is because of the improvement in the PVC-TiO_(2)interfacial region arise from the similarity of polarity and surface tension values of vinyl silane with that of PVC matrix and TiO_(2)nanoparticles.

Involvement of Quebracho tannins in diet alters productive and reproductive efficiency of postpartum buffalo cows

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of 10 weeks supplementation of Quebracho tannins(QT; 0 [control], 100 [QT100] or 200 g/[cow$d] [QT_(200)]) to 30 multiparous postpartum buffalo cows(10 cows per group) on milk yield and composition, blood metabolites and reproductive *** of QT100 had no significant effect on milk yield, whereas QT_(200) decreased(P mpared with the control group, both QT levels decreased(P d milk(FCm)yield, but no significant effects were found on percentages of milk fat and protein. Contrariwise, yields of milk fat, lactose and milk protein were decreased(P mented. The solids nonfat(SNF) percentage and yield were decreased(P mentation. moreover, QT tended to numerically reduce total number of ovarian follicles, number of small follicles, peripheral progesterone concentration and conception rate. Supplementation of QT_(200) numerically increased number of large follicles, mean diameter of large follicle, number and diameters of corpora lutea. The inclusion of QT_(200) shortened days open(dO) and decreased number of services per ***, QT did not show significant effects on serum total protein, albumin, globulin, glucose,cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations. Supplementation of QT100 caused an increase(P m urea compared with that in control and QT_(200) groups. Generally, QT decreased(P m creatinine concentration. Therefore, the supplementation of a commercial QT to early lactating Egyptian buffalo cows displayed negative consequences on their productive and reproductive performances.

In present work,a novel crack-free Al-Cu-mg-Si-Ti alloy with synchronous improved tensile properties and hot-cracking resistance was proposed and successfully manufactured by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF).The microstructure evolution behaviors and the corresponding strengthening mechanisms were investigated in *** LPBF-processed Al-Cu-mg-Si-Ti alloy presents a heterogeneous microstructure consisting of ultrafine equiaxed grains(UFGs)at the boundary and coarse columnar grains(CGs)at the center of the single molten ***-precipitated d022-Al 3 Ti particles were found to act as the nuclei to refine the grains at the boundary of the molten pool during solidification process,which is attributed to the low cooling rate providing the sufficient incubation time for the precipitation of d022-Al 3 *** are two orientation relationships(ORs)betweenα-Al and d022-Al 3 Ti,i.e.[001]α-Al//[001]d022-Al3Ti,(200)α-Al//(200)d022-Al3Ti and[1¯1¯2]α-Al//[¯111]d022-Al3Ti,(1¯11)α-Al//(¯11¯2)d022-Al3Ti,which are two of the eight ORs predicted with the E2Em *** grains in present alloy,no matter for UFGs or CG,exhibited high critical hot-cracking stress,which means a strong hot-cracking ***-nanoprecipitation of Cu-,mg-,and Si-rich Q’and S’phases was introduced to enhance the mechanical performance ofα-Al *** as-built sample exhibits superior tensile properties,with the yield strength(YS)of 473±8 mPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of 541±2 mPa and elongation(EI)of 10.9%±1.2%.

Effect of Conductive Fillers on the Cyclic Stress-Strain and Nano-Scale Free Volume Properties of Silicone Rubber

The effect of carbon black （CB） and graphite （G） powders on the macroscopic and nano-scale free volume properties of silicone rubber based on poly（di-methylsiloxane）（PdmS） was studied through thermal and cyclic mechanical measurements, as well as with positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy （PALS）. The melting temperature of the composites （Tm） and the endothermic enthalpy of melting （ΔHm） were estimated by differential scanning calorimetry （dSC）. Tm and the degree of crystallinity （χc） of PdmS composites were found to decrease with increasing the CB content. This can be explained due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the crystallite thickness. Besides, χc was found to be dependent on the filler type. Cyclic stress-strain behavior of PdmS loaded with different contents of filler has been studied. mullins ratio （Rm） was found to be dependent on the filler type and content. It was found that, Rm increases with increasing the filler content due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the size of free volume, as observed through a decrease of the o-Ps lifetime τ3 measured by PALS. moreover, the hysteresis in PdmS-CB composites was more pronounced than in PdmS-G composites. Furthermore, a correlation was established between the free volume Vf and the mechanical properties of PdmS composites containing different fillers. A negative correlation was observed between Vf and Rm.

Preliminary performance analysis and optimization based on 1d neutronics model for Indian dEmO HCCB blanket

India,under its breeding blanket R&d program for dEmO,is focusing on the development of two tritium breeding blanket concepts;namely the lead-lithium-cooled ceramic breeder and the helium-cooled ceramic breeder(HCCB).The study presented in this paper focuses on the neutronic design analysis and optimization from the tritium breeding perspective of the HCCB *** Indian concept has an edge-on configuration and is one of the variants of the helium-cooled solid breeder blanket concepts proposed by several partner countries in *** Indian HCCB blanket having lithium titanate(Li2TiO3)as the tritium breeder and beryllium(Be)as the neutron multiplier with reduced-activation ferritic/martensitic steel structure aims at utilizing the low-energy neutrons at the rear part of the *** aim of the optimization study is to minimize the radial blanket thickness while ensuring tritium self-sufficiency and provide data for further neutronic design and thermal-hydraulic layout of the HCCB *** is found that inboard and outboard blanket thicknesses of 40 cm and 60 cm,respectively,can give a tritium breeding ratio(TBR)>1.3,with 60%6Li enrichment,which is assumed to be sufficient to cover potential tritium losses and associated *** results also demonstrated that the Be packing fraction(PF)has a more profound impact on the TBR as compared to 6Li enrichment and the PF of Li2TiO3.

Annual and seasonal changes of the air temperature with altitude in the Upper dades valley, High Atlas, morocco

The purpose of this study is to determine the size of air temperature changes with altitude in the mountains of the arid zone, on the example of the Upper dades valley(High Atlas, morocco). The air temperature change with altitude was determined on the basis of 5 years data from three meteorological stations. The analysis was carried out on an annual and seasonal basis. The annual and daily variations of thermal gradients between pairs of stations were also determined. It was found that the average thermal gradient in the Upper dades valley was-1.02℃ per 100 m. The highest values of the thermal gradient occur in winter and the lowest in summer. In winter,the thermal gradient was characterized by the greatest variability. minima of the daily variation of air temperature gradients were observed in early morning hours and maxima around midday. In the lower part of the valley, air temperature inversion frequently developed between 10 Am and 3 Pm *** obtained results show high thermal gradients in the mountains of the arid zone, with their annual amplitude increasing in the lower parts of the *** instantaneous values of the gradients were significantly modified by the supply of latent heat and the occurrence of dust storms. It has been shown that the advection factor plays an important role in shaping large gradient values. The study contains novel results of thermal gradient measurements in high mountains of arid zone.

The semi-solid slurry of A356 alloy, which is grain-refined by Al-Ti-B master alloy, is prepared by low superheat pouring and slight electromagnetic stirring. The effects of grain refining on the morphology and the grain size of the primary α phase in the slurry manufactured are researched. The results indicate that the slurry with particle-like and rosette-like primary α phases can be prepared by low superheat pouring and slight electromagnetic stirring from liquid A356 alloy grain-refined, in which the pouring temperature can be suitably raised. Compared with the A356 samples without grain refining, the grain size and particle morphology of primary α phase as well as the distribution of the grain with particle-like or rosette-like along radial in the ingot in A356 are markedly improved by grain refining.
