Combinations of metal and lanthanide oxides have been done through casted films for potential medical applications. In this regard, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide/chromium(Ⅲ) oxide/graphene oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based films nano-composites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing their utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide and chromium(Ⅲ) oxide have been merged as promising optical constituents due to their unique optical behavior. The structural and compositional examination of the studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRd), Raman, and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm). The Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exhibits a surface with a lower roughness degree owing to the presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)shows size reduction upon GO insertion to reach 1.2 μm as the average grain size, whilst Sm_(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less than 1 μm. As well, the polymeric nano-compositions exhibit variation in contact angle values that hit 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/PCL, and 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as the second lowest contact angle. The optical behavior contributes to absorption edge relocation along the x-axis from 1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Regarding biological responses, the cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m L of Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL shows cell viability of 119.31%, while 5 μg/m L hits 99.6%. Additionally, the resulting cell attachment micrographs show layers of fibroblast tissue, besides the proliferation and growth of cultivated cells. Thus, the Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3d proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing the wound healing process.

Safety and efficacy of ultrasound ciliary plasty as a primary intervention in glaucoma patients

AIm: To evaluate the safety and the efficacy of the ultrasound ciliary plasty(UCP) on the intraocular pressure(IOP) control in glaucomatous eyes without previous glaucoma ***: A retrospective study included patients with primary and secondary glaucoma who underwent UCP in dar Al Shifa Hospital, Kuwait between January 2017 to June 2018. High-intensity focused ultrasound procedures were performed under peribulbar anesthesia using the 2^(nd) generation probe with 8 s duration of each of the 6 shots. Complete ophthalmologic examinations were scheduled pre-treatment, and at 1 d, 1 wk, 1, 3, 6 and 12 mo posttreatment. Primary outcomes were the IOP reduction and success rates at 12 mo, while the secondary outcomes were the occurrence of vision threatening complications and visual ***: The records of 62 eyes of 62 patients were analyzed with mean age of 63.8 y(67.7% males). There was statistically significant reduction in the mean IOP from 35.2±8.3 mm Hg before treatment to 20.6±8.7 mm Hg at 12^(th) month(Pmean percentage IOP reduction of 42.3% with significant reduction in the mean number of antiglaucomatous drugs from 3.2±0.4 before treatment to 2.1±1.02 at 12 mo(Pd success was achieved in 77.4% of eyes at 12 mo. No major intra-or posttreatment complications were ***: Second-generation UCP prove to be effective in reducing IOP in naive glaucoma patients with lower success rates in cases of neovascular and uveitic glaucomas.

Collagen crosslinking with photoactivated riboflavin in advanced infectious keratitis with corneal melting: Electrophysiological Study

AIm: To assess the effect of photoactivated chromophore for keratitis crosslinking(PACK-CXL) in case of severe keratitis with melting on the electrophysiological function of the retina and the optic ***: The study included 32 eyes of 32 patients with smear positive severe infectious keratitis with corneal melting. The patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group I(control group) included 16 eyes received systemic and topical antimicrobial drugs guarded by culture and sensitivity test. Group II underwent CXL and then continued their antimicrobial treatment. Full field electroretinogram(ERG) and flash visual evoked potential(VEP) were done for each patient in both groups basically and then 1 wk, 1 and 3 mo post-treatment to assess the changes in the electrophysiological function of the retina and optic ***: Healing of 10 eyes in group I in comparison to 14 eyes in group II was recorded. The mean duration of healing was 36.56±5.21 d in group I vs 20.2±4.4 d in group II(Pd an insignificant reduction of all parameters of ERG and VEP after CXL. The amplitude of scotopic rod response, oscillatory potential amplitude, flicker amplitude and photopic cone response were insignificantly decreased(P=0.4, 0.8, 0.1, and 0.3 respectively). There were insignificant prolongation of latencies of scotopic rod, oscillatory potential, flicker and photopic cone response(P=0.2, 0.7, 0.5 and 0.1). There was slight delay in latency of VEP without a significant reduction in ***: CXL is an effective technique in treatment of severe infectious keratitis with melting as it halts the melting process with acceptable safety on the retinal and optic nerve function.

Two-stage procedure in the management of selected cases of keratoconus: clear lens extraction with aspherical IOL implantation followed by WFG-PRK

AIm： To assess the objective and subjective results of a two-stage procedure for management of keratoconus： clear lensectomy with aspherical intraocular lens（IOL） implantation followed by wave front-guided photorefractive keratotomy（WFG-PRK）.mETHOdS： This prospective interventional non-randomized study included patients aged 35 years old or more with grade I and II stable keratoconus, a clear visual axis, minimal corneal thickness（mCT） 420 μm or more and average keratometric reading（K） less than 54 diopter（d）. Refraction of all selected eyes should be-8.00 d sphere or more with less than-6.00 d cylinder and could be corrected two lines or more with spectacles or contact lenses. All studied eyes underwent a two-stage approach treatment： first refractive lens exchange and aspherical IOL implantation followed, after at least 3 mo, by WFGPRK. Pre and postoperative complete ophthalmological examination were performed. Topographical, visual and aberrometric results were recorded and evaluated during 6 mo follow up period. moreover, patient satisfaction and other subjective outcomes were also ***： The 13 eyes of 11 patients diagnosed with stable keratoconus and aged from 39 to 49 y（42.4±6.2 y） were enrolled in the study. At baseline, 8 eyes had grade I and 5 eyes had grade II keratoconus. The manifest sphere was-10.3±4.2 d（ranged from-8.0 to-14.0 d） and the manifest cylinder was-4.2±1.2 d（ranged from-1.75 to-5.50 d）. After the two-stage procedure, sphere and cylinder reduced significantly to-0.43±0.22 d and-1.3±0.72 d respectively（P〈0.001）. There was also a highly significant improvement in the mean uncorrected distance visual acuity（UdVA） from logmAR 1.41±0.49 preoperatively to 0.51±0.16 postoperatively（P〈0.001） and the mean corrected distance visual acuity（CdVA） from 0.76±0.24 preoperatively to 0.49±0.13 after the operation（P〈0.001）. Evidence for structural phase transitions and large effective band gaps in quasi-metallic ultra-clean suspended carbon nanotubes

We report evidence for a structural phase transition in individual suspended metallic carbon nanotubes by examining their Raman spectra and electron trans- port under electrostatic gate potentials. The current-gate voltage characteristics reveal anomalously large quasi-metallic band gaps as high as 240 meV, the largest reported to date. For nanotubes with band gaps larger than 200 meV, we observe a pronounced m-shape profile in the gate dependence of the 2d band （or G＇ band） Raman frequency. The pronounced dip （or softening） of the phonon mode near zero gate voltage can be attributed to a structural phase transition （SPT） that occurs at the charge neutrality point （CNP）. The 2d band Raman intensity also changes abruptly near the CNP, providing further evidence for a change in the lattice symmetry and a possible SPT. Pronounced non-adiabatic effects are observed in the gate dependence of the G band Raman mode, however, this behavior deviates from non-adiabatic theory near the CNP. For nanotubes with band gaps larger than 200 meV, non-adiabatic effects should be largely suppressed, which is not observed experimentally. This data suggests that these large effective band gaps are primarily caused by a SPT to an insulating state, which causes the large modulation observed in the conductance around the CNP. Possible mechanisms for this SPT are discussed, including electron-electron （e.g., mott） and electron-phonon （e.g., Peierls） driven transitions.

Simplified methods for Eigenvalue Assignment

A state feedback method of reduced order for eigenvalue assignment is developed in this paper. It offers immediate assignment of m eigenvalues, with freedom to assign the remaining n-m eigenvalues. The method also enjoys a systematic one-step application in the case where the system has a square submatrix. Further simplification is also possible in certain cases. The method is shown to be applicable to uncontrollable systems, offering the simplest control law when having maximum uncontrollable eigenvalues.

Perceived Trust and Payment methods: An Empirical Study of markaVIP Company

This empirical study focused on investigating the perceived trust surrogated by a number of hy-pothesized factors and its effect on the choice of method of payment. The data were collected using a questionnaire, as the instrument for the primary data collection, with total collected back responses of 214 from customers of markaVIP. Structural equation modeling technique was used to fully analyze the data in order to determine what level of the relationship between the constituting factors of the perceived trust and the method of payment. The main findings were related to confirming the seven main hypotheses of the research that were related to testing if some factors were important to forming perceived trust by customers. Four factors (reputation, security, familiarity, and ease of use) were found to have a positive effect and the remaining three were not (privacy, size and usefulness). In addition, having perceived trust meant no preference to any method of payment by the customers.

地下储气库在注采循环过程中,井周围区域会发生储层干化,这会对储气库的正常运行产生影响。为此,在分析储层干化机理的基础上,基于大张坨储气库储层参数及地下温度压力条件,建立了单井控制区域的组分模型并模拟储气库周期性注采气过程。模拟结果表明:井周围储层干化的区域会逐年扩大,半径甚至超过百米;储层干化主要发生在注气周期,回采周期对储层的干化作用轻微;储层干化的速率及波及区域的大小取决于注采井的年循环气量及注入和采出天然气中水蒸气含量的差异;不同回采周期采出的天然气中水蒸气的含量呈现规律性变化,从开始接近干气逐渐升高到地下温度压力条件下饱和水蒸气含量,且该过程逐年后延。该研究结果为深入研究储层干化现象对储气库正常运营的影响奠定了基础。

Review and measuring the Efficiency of SQL Injection method in Preventing E-mail Hacking

E-mail hackers use many methods in their work, in this article, most of such efficient methods are demonstrated and compared. different methods and stages of such methods are listed here, in order to reveal such methods and to take care of them but the most common discussed method in this paper is SQL method. SQL injection is a type of security exploit in which the attacker adds SQL statements through a web application's input fields or hidden parameters to gain access to resources or make changes to data. It is found that the SQL is an efficient way in preventing E-mail hacking and its efficiency reaches about 80%. The method of SQL injection can be considered as an efficient way comparing with other methods.

Trends and outcomes of pancreaticoduodenectomy for periampullary tumors: A 25-year single-center study of 1000 consecutive cases

AIm To evaluate the evolution, trends in surgical approaches a n d r e c o n s t r u c t i o n t e c h n i q u e s, a n d i m p o r t a n t lessons learned from performing 1000 consecutive pancreaticoduodenectomies(Pds) for periampullary *** This is a retrospective review of the data of all patients who underwent Pd for periampullary tumor during the period from January 1993 to April 2017. The data were categorized into three periods, including early period(1993-2002), middle period(2003-2012), and late period(2013-2017).RESULTS The frequency showed Pd was increasingly performed after the year 2000. With time, elderly, cirrhotic and obese patients, as well as patients with uncinate process carcinoma and borderline tumor were increasingly selected for Pd. The median operative time and postoperative hospital stay decreased significantly over the periods. Hospital mortality declined significantly, from 6.6% to 3.1%. Postoperative complications significantly decreased, from 40% to 27.9%. There was significant decrease in postoperative pancreatic fistula in the second 10 years, from 15% to 12.7%. There was a significant improvement in median survival and overall survival among the *** Surgical results of Pd significantly improved, with mortality rate nearly reaching 3%. Pancreatic reconstruction following Pd is still debatable. The survival rate was also improved but the rate of recurrence is still high, at 36.9%.
