BACKGROUND To date, the histopathological parameters predicting the risk of lymph node (LN) metastases and local recurrence, associated mortality and appropriateness of endoscopic or surgical resection in patients with gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms type 1 (GNENs1) have not been fully elucidated. AIM To determine the rate of LN metastases and its impact in survival in patients with GNEN1 in relation to certain clinico-pathological parameters. METHODS The PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science and Scopus databases were searched through January 2019. The quality of the included studies and risk of bias were assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) in accordance with the Cochrane guidelines. A random effects model and pooled odds ratios (OR) with 95%CI were applied for the quantitative meta-analysis. RESULTS We screened 2933 articles. Thirteen studies with 769 unique patients with GNEN1 were included. Overall, the rate of metastasis to locoregional LNs was 3.3%(25/769). The rate of LN metastases with a cut-off size of 10 mm was 15.3% for lesions > 10 mm (vs 0.8% for lesions < 10 mm) with a random-effects OR of 10.5 (95%CI: 1.4 -80.8;heterogeneity: P = 0.126;I2 = 47.5%). Invasion of the muscularis propria was identified as a predictor for LN metastases (OR: 17.2;95%CI: 1.8-161.1;heterogeneity: P = 0.165;I2 = 44.5%), whereas grade was not clearly associated with LN metastases (OR: 2;95%CI: 0.3-11.6;heterogeneity: P = 0.304;I2 = 17.4%). With regard to GNEN1 local recurrence, scarce data were available. The 5-year disease-specific survival for patients with and without LN metastases was 100% in most available studies irrespective of the type of intervention. Surgical resection was linked to a lower risk of recurrence (OR: 0.3;95%CI: 0.1-1.1;heterogeneity: P = 0.173;I2 = 31.9%). Background:Pediatric acute pancreatitis(AP)is rare but *** AP is associated with higher morbidity and ***,there are no universally accepted prognostic criteria for ***:This retrospective study included children with AP admitted to an intensive care unit(ICU)of our tertiary pediatric center between January 2009 and December *** severity of organ dysfunction in AP was assessed according to the modified Atlanta criteria using the Pediatric Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(p SOFA)and Computed Tomography Severity Index(CTSI).Results:Seventy acute episodes of AP were evaluated in 55 children with primary *** addition,secondary AP was diagnosed in 15 patients originally admitted to ICU for different *** AP[no organ dysfunction,normal computed tomography(CT)finding]was the most prevalent(64/85 episodes in 49 children),followed by moderate AP(15 children;p SOFA 2-9 points,CTSI 3-4 points on admission).Severe AP(p SOFA 4-17 points,CTSI 6-10 points)was diagnosed in 6 children with traumatic or secondary *** most frequent etiologies of primary AP episodes were idiopathic(39%)and biliary(31%).Children with idiopathic AP had frequent relapses and *** AP was typically mild,but presented with high pancreatic enzyme levels and recurrence *** at ICU and an interval without enteral nutrition(EN)were relatively short in drug-induced AP and relatively long in secondary and traumatic *** retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)was performed in 13 patients with biliary AP and in 4 patients with traumatic *** AP-related death was ***:p SOFA score accurately reflects the severity and prognosis of AP in children.

Although silicon（Si） is ubiquitous in soil and plant, evidence is still lacking that Si is essential for higher plants. However, it has been well documented that Si is beneficial for healthy growth of many plant species. Si can promote plant mechanical strength, light interception, as well as resistance to various forms of abiotic and biotic stress, thus improving both yield and quality. Indeed, application of Si fertilizer is a rather common agricultural practice in many countries and regions. As the beneficial effects provided by Si are closely correlated with Si accumulation level in plant, elucidating the possible mechanisms of Si uptake and transport in plants is extremely important to utilize the Si-induced beneficial effects in plants. Recently, rapid progress has been made in unveiling molecular mechanisms of Si uptake and transport in plants. Based on the cooperation of Si influx channels and efflux transporters, a model to decipher Si uptake, transport and distribution system in higher plants has been developed, which involves uptake and radial transport in root, xylem and inter-vascular transport and xylem unloading and deposition in leaf. In this paper, we overviewed the updated knowledge concerning Si uptake, transport and accumulation and its significance for the major crops of agricultural importance and highlighted the further research needs as well.

The properties of dry-coated paracetamol particles(fast-dissolving model drug)with carnauba wax particles as the coating agent(dissolution retardant)were *** mapping technique was used to non-destructively examine the thickness and homogeneity of coated *** results showed that the wax existed in two forms on the surface of the paracetamol particles,forming a porous coating layer:i)whole wax particles on the surface of paracetamol and glued together with other wax surface particles,and ii)deformed wax particles spread on the *** of the final particle size fraction(between 100 and 800 mm),the coating thickness had high variability,with average thickness of 5.9±4.2 *** ability of carnauba wax to decrease the dissolution rate of paracetamol was confirmed by dissolution of powder and tablet *** dissolution was slower for larger coated *** further reduced the dissolution rate,clearly indicating the impact of subsequent formulation processes on the final quality of the product.

Condensation of Water Steam with and without Chemical Impurity in a Nozzle

A nucleation of two types can occur in the water steam flowing in a nozzle or in a turbine： homogeneous （spontaneous） and heterogeneous. The effects of chemistry on the flowing steam nucleation and condensation are not quite explained. An approach is used in the paper which is based on binary nucleation of main impurity NaC1 and water. Physical and mathematical models are described and are applied on the steam flow with condensation in convergent-divergent nozzle. Binary nucleation numerical model is applied for the calculation of the flow with condensation in the nozzle with low expansion rate in divergent nozzle part ^- = 1,000 s^-1. Calculation results of pressure distribution are compared with experiments. The agreement between calculations and experiments is very good. The homogeneous nucleation and condensation of pure water steam in the same nozzle is also calculated. The results are discussed. Main features of the binary nucleation and condensation of water and NaCI and of the homogeneous nucleation of pure water are compared.

对利用信息素诱捕云杉八齿小蠹的策略进行了对比分析,尤其是雄性小蠹的诱捕。第一种策略是障碍法,在林分的周围密集的布置捕捉陷阱,使用交互式信息素分别诱捕雄性小蠹和雌性小蠹。第二种策略是单一诱捕法,广阔使用投有相同诱饵诱捕陷阱,以捕捉最大数量的雄性小蠹为目的,而不包含雌性小蠹的捕捉。在带有低含量的(4S)一反式马鞭草烯醇诱饵混合物中,用0%,1%,10%,35%,60%and90%的(+)-柠檬烯逐步取代α-蒎烯。这种替换对雄性小蠹的反映数量没有影响,但对雄性小蠹的捕捉量稍有影响。在有高含量(4S)-反式马鞭草烯醇捕捉雌性小蠹的引诱剂混合物中,用1-甲氧基-2-丙醇取代2-甲基-3-丁烯-2-醇,对雌性小蠹的捕捉率没有影响。因而,在具有反式马鞭草烯醇和(4县)-2-甲基-6-甲基-2,7-辛-4-醇的混合物中使用1-甲氧基-2-丙醇,捕捉效果没有明显的变化。在单一捕捉的引诱剂混合物中,用(+)-柠檬烯取代α-蒎烯,用1-甲氧基-2-丙醇取代2-甲基-3-丁烯-2-醇,α-蒎烯被代替后对雄性小蠹的捕捉率轻微的影响,但2-甲基-3-丁烯-2-醇被代替后,将不会没有明显地降低捕捉效果。

Determination of the sensible heat effectiveness and pressure loss of a rotary regenerative heat exchanger using CFD

The paper presents a new method to determine the sensible effectiveness and pressure loss of rotary regenerative heat exchangers using computational fluid dynamics(CFD).It is based on CFD simulations of a single thermal wheel microchannel with a small cross-sectional area and thin walls,with cyclic inlet and outlet boundary *** unique measurement set-ups were designed and built for the experimental measurement of the heat exchanger *** different types of thermal wheels were manufactured,measured,and simulated in ANSYS *** wheels achieve an effectiveness greater than 73%under certain(air flow)conditions,which is the minimum effectiveness required by Ecodesign(in the EU).For the examined exchangers,the effectiveness ranges from 66.5%to 83.3%,depending on the boundary conditions and geometric parameters of the *** highest sensible effectiveness is achieved by heat exchangers with the largest heat exchange surface Ac;on the other hand,these wheels have the largest pressure *** paper discusses the use of a simplifiedε-NTU correlation model for the HVAC systems(typically C*=1).The correlation model and CFD results were compared and found to be different from each *** results of the CFD simulation were compared with measurements to prove that the proposed simulation method can predict the behaviour of the real heat exchanger as a *** was demonstrated that the sensible effectiveness and pressure loss of the rotary heat exchanger predicted by the CFD simulations correspond well to the measured values within the measurement uncertainty±1.3%.The proposed method can be used for the comparison of different rotary regenerative heat exchangers before their manufacturing and for verification that they meet the EU Ecodesign requirements set by the current *** reduces the cost of the initial optimisation and testing of new designs.
