A novel flavone glycoside named 3＇＇＇-carbonyl-2＇＇-β-L-quinovosyl icariside Ⅱ was isolated from the aerial parts of Epimedium koreanum. Its chemical structure was elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis.

Excess production of reactive oxygen species （ROS） critically contributes to occurrence of reperfusion injury, the paradoxical response of ischemic brain tissue to restoration of cerebral blood flow. However, the enzymatic sources of ROS generation remain to be unclear. This study examined Nox2-ontaining NADPH oxidase （Nox2） expression and its activity in ischemic brain tissue following post-ischemic reperfusion to clarify the mechanism of enzymatic reaction of ROS. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to 90-minute middle cerebral artery occlusion, followed by 3 or 22.5 hours of reperfusion. Quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR and western blot assay were performed to measure mRNA and protein expression of Nox2. Lucigenin fluorescence assays were performed to assess Nox activity. Our data showed that Nox2 mRNA and protein expression levels were significantly increased （3.7-fold for mRNA and 3.6-fold for protein） in ischemic brain tissue at 22.5 hours but not at 3 hours following post-ischemic reperfusion. Similar results were obtained for the changes of NADPH oxidase activity in ischemic cerebral tissue at the two reperfusion time points. Our results suggest that Nox2 may not contribute to the early burst of reperfusion-related ROS generation, but is rather an important source of ROS generation during prolonged reperfusion.

Metsulfuron-methyl is one of the widely used sulfonylurea herbicides. However, approximately half of the applied metsulfuron-methyl may remain as bound residues in soil. To characterize the response of rice plants to residual metsulfuron-methyl in soil, the activities of acetolactate synthase （ALS）, superoxide dismutase （SOD）, peroxidase （POD）, and catalase （CAT） were investigated in two rice varieties that differed in susceptibility to the herbicide. Changes in the activity of these enzymes in leaves and roots of Xiushui 63, a sensitive rice variety, were greater than those in a resistant variety Zhenong 952. Irrespective of variety, changes in the enzyme activity were greater in the roots than in the leaves. The activities of ALS and CAT decreased, while the SOD activity increased with the increase in the amounts of bound residues of metsulfuron-methyl （BRM） in soil. The POD activity increased at the BRM level of 0.025 mg kg^-1, but decreased at the BRM level of 0.05 mg kg^-1. The results showed that the bound residues of sulfonylurea herbicides may affect metabolism of rice plants.

Hexafluoropropylene oxide(HFPO) is a very important epoxide which contains fluorine, and it is the intermediate for the production of organic fluorine chemicals. There are many methods to prepare HFPO which use hexafluoropropylene(HFP) as raw material, domestic and overseas. Since the conversion rate of the HFP is not complete, the HFPO product must contain raw material HFP. In order to obtain high purity HFPO,there is need to purify the products. The reaction products in the gaseous form, but due to the similar volatility of HFP(bp-29.4°C) and HFPO(bp-27.4°C), there is difficulty to separate compounds by distillation methods. Now the methods for purifying HFPO mainly include the method of bromination, extraction distillation and so on. In these methods, the problem of the extraction distillation method is that it needs a long time for the separation process, the large need of the solvent and high energy consumption. Compared with the above methods, adsorption separation method is a better method, but there are no reports on the adsorption of HFP and HFPO. So, we conducted a preliminary exploration for adsorption method to separate HFP and HFPO *** carried on the preliminary filtrating by the dynamic penetration experimental for the adsorbents after consulting massive of literature. We can know that the calcined clay and activated alumina have a certain separation efficiency for the mixture from the results. We found that the adsorbents from different manufacturers or batches also have an important influence on the performance of adsorption separation during the experiments. The 8# calcined clay and 9101# activated alumina were analyzed and characterized in our experiments, and at the same time we investigated the breakthrough curves in different experimental conditions. The cluster compound[Mo_4S_4(μ-O_2CC_5H_5)_2(dtp)_4](dtp=S_2P(OEt)_2)was obtained by the ligand substitution reaction of tetranuclear molybdenum cluster [Mo_4S_4(μ-dtp)_2(dtp)_4]in the mixed solvent of acetone,ethanol and water in the presence of C_6H_5CO_*** is monoclinic and crystallizes in space group C2/c, Mr=1495.09,a=12.175(5),b=22.01(1),c=20.875(9),β=99.04(4)°;V=5575(5);Z=4; Dc=1.78g/cm^*** R factor is *** result reveals that the[Mo_4S_4]cluster core and t-(dtp)^(-1)ligands are retained and only μ-bridged(dtp)^(-1)ligands are substituted by(C_6H_5CO_2)^(-1)in the substitution reaction,thus producing the new title cluster compound,the structure of which contains two species of bidentate ligand.
