The article is based on collection of small terrestrial mammals(Soriculus nigrescens,Episoriculus caudatus, Neodon sikimensis,Alticola stoliczkanus, Niviventer eha and Ochotona roylei) collected in the Barun Valley, east Nepal in the pre-monsoon period of *** and ecological characteristics and altitudinal stratification of these species are analysed, depending both on abiotic(geomorphological and climatic) and biotic(vegetation, and human presence and activities)factors. All the captured mammals were examined for ecto- and endoparasities. Infestations of Trombiculid mites and Ixodid ticks were tightly linked to the local habitat where these ectoparasites must survive during their nonparasitic phase. Analysis of their occurrence completes the reconstruction of migration routes during the expansion of small mammals into the Barun Valley and the exacerbating influence of human activities(summer pasturing,mountaineering expeditions and trekking parties).An indicator of anthropogenic influence was the occurrence of synantropic flies. The potential medical importance of these findings is *** is assumed a possible occurrence of arboviruses transmitted by ticks and also rickettsioses(transmitted by ticks and chigger mites). As far bacteriological infections, plague cannot be excluded.

This article will discuss a false dichotomy between two models,the modern art studio and the post-studio,which oppose the private and the public,the individual and the collective,hiding and the *** will begin by analysing daniel Buren’s position in his canonical text“Fonction de l’Atelier”and his practice,where the artist defines the foundations of post-studio *** the text also describes a New York studio type that must be left behind,we will analyse Jackson Pollock’s and Andy Warhol’s workspaces through drawing reconstructions to demonstrate that these meet the defining characteristics of both *** will be shown that the artists have used design strategies to retain certain aspects of studio culture while exploring others of the *** turning point reveals that the current belief about the obsolescence of the studio in a global era defined by communication,networking and mobility ignores its emerging post-studio *** work aims to acknowledge this shift,obtaining a critical vision that will allow us to design contemporary workspaces avoiding stereotypical and reductionist approaches.

Hyperspectral reflectance contains valuable information about leaf functional traits,which can indicate a plant's physiological ***,using hyperspectral reflectance for high-throughput phenotyping of foliar traits could be a powerful tool for tree breeders and nursery practitioners to distinguish and select seedlings with desired adaptation potential to local *** evaluated the use of 2 nondestructive methods(i.e.,leaf and proximal/canopy)measuring hyperspectral reflectance in the 350-to 2,500-nm range for phenotyping on 1,788 individual Scots pine seedlings belonging to lowland and upland ecotypes of 3 different local populations from the Czech ***-level measurements were collected using a spectroradiometer and a contact probe with an internal light source to measure the biconical reflectance factor of a sample of needles placed on a black background in the contact probe field of *** proximal canopy measurements were collected under natural solar light,using the same spectroradiometer with fiber optical cable to collect data on individual seedlings'hemispherical conical reflectance *** latter method was highly susceptible to changes in incoming *** spectral datasets showed statistically significant differences among Scots pine populations in the whole spectral ***,using random forest and support vector machine learning algorithms,the proximal data obtained from the top of the seedlings offered up to 83%accuracy in predicting 3 different Scots pine *** conclude that both approaches are viable for hyperspectral phenotyping to disentangle the phenotypic and the underlying genetic variation within Scots pine seedlings.

＜正＞This paper presents novel results on the joint problem of sampling, reconstruction and quantization of analog signals. Existing literature on this topic deals exclusively with band-limited signals in sampled form. Our key departure from earlier results is that we deal with continuous time reconstruction of not necessarily band-limited signals. Our approach utilizes concepts and tools from optimal sampled-data and receding horizon control theory. The key conclusion from the work presented here is that, in the case under study, the optimal quantizer design problem can be partitioned into two sub-problems, namely （i） the design of an optimal analog pre-filter followed by sampling and （ii） an optimal quantizer, which works directly on the pre-sampled signals. Simulation results are presented which illustrate the performance of the optimal A-D converter designed via these principles.

＜正＞In order that signals can be stored, transmitted or processed it is necessary that they first be converted into digital form. This, in turn, raises the problem of how to digitize data so as to achieve the best trade-off between data load and performance, i. e. , "how to make the most out of a little". Two issues are involved in this problem, namely temporal quantization （i. e. , sampling） and spatial quantization. These two problems have traditionally been addressed separately. Indeed, there exists substantial literature dealing with the temporal quantization problem, covering both band-limited and non-band-limited signals. The usual underlying paradigm is that of an analysis filter, followed by a sampler, followed by a reconstruction filter. Various parts of this architecture can be optimized once other parts have been specified. On the other hand, spatial quantization has been studied extensively for a given sampling strategy, particularly in the framework of sigma delta conversion. Finally, it is also possible to formulate the joint design problem for sampling and spatial quantization. This typically leads to enhanced performance compared to that achievable by considering the two aspects separately. This paper will survey the general area of sampling and quantization and analyze methods for achieving efficient data representations for signal processing and control applications. We will show how, on the one hand, contemporary control theory can contribute to the design of sampling and quantization systems and, on the other hand, how these systems impact on the performance of modern feedback control systems.

The liver is a common location of both primary and secondary malignancies. For unresectable liver cancer, many local ablative therapies have been developed. These include e.g., percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI), percutaneous acetic acid injection, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), cryoablation, microwave ablation, laserinduced thermotherapy, and high-intensity focused ultrasound. RFA has recently gained interest and is the most widely applied thermoablative technique. RFA allows more effective tumor control in fewer treatment sessions compared with PEI, but with a higher rate of complications. However, there are certain circumstances where PEI therapy represents a better strategy to control liver tumors than RFA, especially in situations where RFA is difficult, for example when large vessels surround the tumor. In the context of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), both RFA and PEI are feasible and of benefit in non-operable patients. RFA seems superior to PEI in HCC > 2 cm, and the combination of interventions may be of benefit in selected patients. Liver resection is superior to RFA for patients with HCC meeting the milan criteria, but RFA can be employed in tumors ≤ 3 cm and where there is an increased expected operative mortality. In addition, some lines of evidence indicate that RFA and PEI can be employed as a bridge to liver transplantation. The use of RFA in colorectal liver metastases is currently limited to unresectable disease and for patients unfit for surgery. The aim of this article is to summarize the current status of RFA in the management of liver tumors and compare it to the cheap and readily available technique of PEI.

Acute heart failure(AHF)is a major cause of unplanned hospitalisations in the elderly and is associated with high *** prevalence has grown in the last years due to population aging and longer life expectancy of chronic heart failure *** international societies have provided guidelines for the management of AHF in the general population,scientific evidence for geriatric patients is often lacking,as these are underrepresented in clinical *** have a different risk profile with more comorbidities,disability,and frailty,leading to increased morbidity,longer recovery time,higher readmission rates,and higher ***,therapeutic options are often limited,due to unfeasibility of invasive strategies,mechanical circulatory support and cardiac ***,the in-hospital management of AHF should be tailored to each patient's clinical situation,cardiopulmonary condition and geriatric *** care should be considered in some cases,in order to avoid unnecessary diagnostics and/or *** discharge,a strict follow-up through outpatient clinic or telemedicine is can improve quality of life and reduce rehospitalisation *** aim of this review is to offer an insight on current literature and provide a clinically oriented,patient-tailored approach regarding assessment,treatment and follow-up of elderly patients admitted for AHF.
