Ab initio approaches are among the most advanced models to solve the nuclear many-body *** particular,the no-core-shell model and many-body perturbation theory have been recently extended to the Gamow shell model framework,where the harmonic oscillator basis is replaced by a basis bearing bound,resonance and scattering states,*** Berggren *** continuum coupling is included at basis level and as configuration mixing takes care of internucleon correlations,halo and resonance nuclei can be properly described with the Gamow shell *** development of the no-core Gamow shell model and the introduction of the■-box method in the Gamow shell model,as well as their first ab initio applications,will be reviewed in this *** compared to models using harmonic oscillator bases will be shortly *** current power and limitations of ab initio Gamow shell model will also be discussed,as well as its potential for future applications.

We provide an investigation of the spectroscopic factor of resonance states in A=5-8 nuclei,utilizing the Gamow shell model(GSM).Within the GSM,the configuration mixing is taken into account exactly with the shell model framework,and the continuum coupling is addressed via the complex-energy Berggren ensemble,which treats bound,resonance,and non-resonant continuum single-particle states on an equal *** a result,both the configuration mixing and continuum coupling are meticulously considered in the *** first calculate the low-lying states of helium isotopes and isotones with the GSM,and the results are compared with that of ab initio no-core shell model(NCSM)*** results indicate that GSM can reproduce the low-lying resonance states more accurately than the *** this,we delve into the spectroscopic factors of the resonance states as computed through both GSM and NCSM,concurrently conducting systematic calculations of overlap functions pertinent to these resonance ***,the calculated overlap function and spectroscopic factor of6He(01+)■νp3/2→^(7)He(3/2_(1)-)with GSM are compared with the results from ab initio NCSM,variational Monte Carlo,and Green’s function Monte Carlo calculations,as well as available experimental *** results assert that wave function asymptotes can only be reproduced in GSM,where resonance and continuum coupling are precisely addressed.

Background: Psychological stress and recovery monitoring is a key issue for increasing athletes' health, well-being, and performance. This multistudy report examined changes and the doseàresponse relationships between recoveryàstress psychological states, training load(TL), heart rate(HR), heart rate recovery(HRR), and heart rate variability(HRV) while providing evidence for the factorial validity of a short French version of the RecoveryàStress Questionnaire for Athletes(RESTQ-36-R-Sport).Methods: Four hundred and seventy-three university athletes(Study 1), 72 full expert swimmers(Study 2), and 11 national to international swimmers(Study 3) participated in the study. Data were analyzed through confirmatory factor analyses(Study 1), repeated ANOVAs and correlational analyses(Study 2), t tests and correlational analyses(Study 3).Results: Multiple-group confirmatory factor analyses showed that the RESTQ-36-R-Sport scores were partially invariant across gender, type of sport, and practice level(Study 1). A doseàresponse relationship was performed between TL and RESTQ-36-R-Sport scores during an ecological training program(Study 2). Finally, relationships were found between physiological(HRR) and psychological(RESTQ-36-R-Sport) states during an ecological tapering period leading to a national championship(Study 3).Conclusion: As a whole, these findings provided evidence for the usefulness of the short version of the RESTQ-36-R-Sport for regular monitoring to prevent potential maladaptation due to intensive competitive sport practice.

When, how often and for how long organisms mate can have strong consequences for individual fitness and are crucial aspects of evolutionary ecology. Such determinants are likely to be of even greater importance in monandrous species and species with short adult life stages. Previous work suggests that mobility, a key dispersal? related trait, may affect the dynamics of copulations, but few studies have investigated the impact of individual mobility on mating latency, copulation duration and oviposition latency simultaneously. In this paper, we monitored the copulation dynamics of 40 males and 40 females, as well as the oviposition dynamics of the females of the Large White butterfly Pieris brassicae, a facultative long-distance disperser butterfly. Individuals from a breeding were selected to create a uniform distribution of mobility and we recorded the timing, number and duration of all copulations in a semiexperimental system. We showed that mobility, measured as the time spent in flight under stressful conditions (a proxy of dispersal tendency), correlates with all aspects of copulation dynamics: mobile males and females mated earlier and for shorter periods than less mobile individuals. In turn, late mating females increased the time between copulation and oviposition. These results feed the previously described mobility syndrome of R brassicae, involving morphological and physiological characters, with life-history traits. We suggest that the reduction of mating latency and copulation duration has an adaptive value in dispersing individuals, as their life expectancy might be shorter than that of sedentary individuals.

Content syndication has become a popular way for timely delivery of frequently updated information on the Web. Today, web syndication technologies such as RSS or Atom are used in a wide variety of applications spreading from large-scale news broadcasting to medium-scale information sharing in scientific and professional communities. However, they exhibit serious limitations for dealing with information overload in Web 2.0. There is a vital need for efficient real- time filtering methods across feeds, to allow users to effectively follow personally interesting information. We investigate in this paper three indexing techniques for users＇ subscriptions based on inverted lists or on an ordered trie for exact and partial matching. We present analytical models for memory requirements and matching time and we conduct a thorough experimental evaluation to exhibit the impact of critical parameters of realistic web syndication workloads.

The ingestion of organic and mineral materials by earthworms is a prominent functional role that has profound consequences for the decomposition and stabilization of soil organic *** investigate the litter consumption of the African nightcrawler earthworm Eudrilus eugeniae under different tropical conditions,we used DNA barcoding to identify specimens of *** collected from sites across the Adamawa region in Cameroon,and studied the influence of habitat suitability(soil properties),soil moisture,litter type,and population density on litter consumption.A total of four litter consumption experiments were carried out using soils collected from refuse disposal sites,agricultural lands,and savannahs dominated by the Mexican sunflower Tithonia *** results revealed that litter consumption significantly increased in the refuse disposal and agricultural soils as opposed to the Mexican sunflower(***)soil,a cow dung enriched substrate,and a sterile soil horizon from the savannah(P0.05).We observed a general positive density-dependent consumption with litter mass loss increasing with increasing *** results suggest that *** has a strong direct effect on the decomposition of plant materials than expected from previous estimations,and that litter consumption rates are determined by several habitat components and population density.

Mapping red blood cells(RBCs)flow and oxygenation is of key importance for analyzing brain and tissue *** microscopy methods are limited either in sensitivity or in spatio-temporal *** this work,we introduce a novel approach based on label-free third-order sum-frequency generation(TSFG)and third-harmonic generation(THG)***,we propose a novel experimental scheme for color TSFG microscopy,which provides simultaneous measurements at several wavelengths encompassing the Soret absorption band of *** show that there is a strong three-photon(3P)resonance related to the Soret band of hemoglobin in THG and TSFG signals from zebrafish and human RBCs,and that this resonance is sensitive to RBC oxygenation *** demonstrate that our color TSFG implementation enables specific detection of flowing RBCs in zebrafish embryos and is sensitive to RBC oxygenation dynamics with single-cell resolution and microsecond pixel ***,it can be implemented on a 3P microscope and provides label-free RBC-specific contrast at depths exceeding 600μm in live adult zebrafish *** results establish a new multiphoton contrast extending the palette of deep-tissue microscopy.
